Charles Bridge Palace

The hotel is in a superb location to the public transport coming from the main station as well as to the bridge and to old town. We actually stayed here in recommendation from my sister and her friend who stayed here in August. The room was spacious and warm (you can control the temperature yourself) It had a hallway and a separate bathroom and separate wardrobe area. They kindly split the beds as I was traveling with my father. The beds were clean and reasonably comfortable, not the best but did the job. The housekeeping made the room tidy each day a they give the option of not replacing towels which is wonderful for unnecessary washing! They have stairs and a lift. The stairs are lvoely twisting ones with plenty of character. They have sensor lights throughout the building to conserve power. The breakfast options were great and some hot items changed over the 2 mornings we ate breakfast. Definitely a great selection. The staff always smiled at you when you saw them.

No biggie but you can hear noise from above rooms (feet stomping) but it's an old building and not too bad. The only thing we noticed each day was the hot items in the breakfast were luke warm both mornings, and we were always there at or just after 7.30am when they opened for breakfast. I looked at their heater/ bain maree for the food and they only have the eggs on low and some were not even on... so that's something they should look at as no one likes cold scrambled eggs or cold baked beans! Otherwise no complaints, the food was still enjoyed!!

The hotel is right in the middle of the city, walking distance from everything. The rooms were spacious and well appointed. The staff were friendly and helpful. The air conditioner worked a treat! The hotel reminded me a little of Howarts - there were several sets of winding stairs, large looming portraits of 18th century people and smooth grey classical statues. You can pretend to be a dutchess or someone from Huffelpuff here.

It was a little loud at night, but closing the windows blocked out all the sounds. This is the downside of being in the middle of the city close to all the action. I prefer a soft bed and the bed was pretty hard, but there were other things that made up for this.

we requested for a river view on the top floor but the room was on the 1st floor it has a little river view and mostly business establishment. There’s no free bottled water in the room upon arrival.

The hotel is so closed to everywhere. 1 min to Charles bridge, 5-7 mins to old town square, 10 mins to lesser town (other side of the bridge), next to tram stations. The breakfast was different daily, coffee was awesome! (Cappuccino from the left machine, trust me ;)) even though there was a mistake on the price and I paid more than I should have, The supervisor in reception was so helpful and solved my issue with great care. The rooms are exactly as they are on the photos. Hot water is available all the time, tv channels in different languages and fast (100mb) wifi was great and unexpected! Room we stayed was so quite. You can exchange currency at the reception with a good rate. We also had water boiler and complimentary coffee and tea along with minibar. As a bonus, the reception team sent me a bottle of champagne for my birthday! How thoughtful! Thanks for it again ! Tips to travelers: Always check how much you pay in pos machine and compare with what you see in booking. Pay the amount in local currency, ask for the receipt if it’s not given. If you need further help, find the supervisor of the reception team.

The rooms were tidied, towels were changed daily but the floor was all dusty during our stay. Towels had long black hairs (not all though).

We embarked on our journey as a family of five, and the hotel's location left us in awe – just a brief 2-minute stroll from the heart of Praha 1 Center, surrounded by a plethora of historical monuments. The accommodations exceeded our expectations; the rooms exuded a truly historic ambiance, and opting for the double room provided us with ample space. The staff members were exceptionally amicable, and the breakfast spread was nothing short of extraordinary. My children eagerly anticipated each morning, counting down the hours until they could indulge in the delightful array of treats, including freshly-made pancakes.

Really nothing, everything was great.

Very very friendly staff in any correspondence. Good breakfast (nice to see a hotel offer milk alternatives as standard thank you!!). Not really my style (everything is old and classical), but some may love it. Fantastic location.

TVs could do with an upgrade, and maybe more channels (movies maybe?). Rooms not the quietest (could hear voices in next room) but it was not a deal breaker and the revellers outside quite noisy but I think this will be the case anywhere in the city centre, but earplugs may be recommended for some. No gym unfortunately. This is fine but would be nice to have a deal with nearby gym to give guests access to a gym if they want.

Location is superb. We got view to the Vltava river. There is so many place to eat and drink just in 2 min walking distance. Across the river to left is tram to petrin tower and from right you find Letná Beer Garden with great view to old town below Room was clean and bed was comfy. Windows block most of the traffic noise but nightlife you gonna hear. Keep that in mind if you want the view to the river. Air conditioner worked well when there was 28 celsius outside Breakfast was mostly great with few changes in menu to different mornings. Staff was professional, polite and kind from check in to check out

I liked almost everything. Professional and friendly staff, great location, good and quiet air-conditioning, minibar, beautiful rooms with high ceiling and impressive paintings, taxi service, etc. Even an outdoor area for smokers.

The TV should have been across from the bed. That's the perfect spot, most comfortable. Not high up on some random wall somewhere. Also: need better TV channels. This is the same problem in many Czechs hotels. I don't know why. Bed could have been more comfortable. And the room darker at night. Also a bit noise from the street. And the toilet was too high for my liking. However, these are minor details. All in all it's a fine place to stay. I'd recommend it.

If you want to stay or be in a part of history, this property would be a right choice. We get to stay in a duplex room with tow huge bathrooms and a wooden stairs among the floors which gives you all the feels that you are hoping. The breakfast buffet was really sumptuous and we have enjoyed them a little too much :) The staffs were really cordial too.

I've just two small issues with the stay: 1. the sofa bed was not really comfortable (although I can understand that they never is) 2. our room didn't have a proper view as there were no window at eye level (it was well ventilated though)

The building and room were excellent, beautiful, clean, and historic. The building is right next to the Charles Bridge giving easy walking access to castle hill. It is also a quick walk from the old town square. The bus runs right outside and the metro station is only a few blocks away. The breakfast may be the best complimentary breakfast I’ve ever had at a hotel. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Our room was perfect. Can’t say enough good about this hotel.

There was nothing about this hotel that I don not like.
