Hotel Golden Crown

Super convenient location. Waking distance from many sightseeing spots and neat tram station to go to the area of Charles bridge and Prague Castle. The reception lady was superb. She is very friendly, approachable, and gives great tips for every information needed. Good breakfast with selection of bread, croissants, cakes, some fruits. Although hot food section may be a little limited, given the size of the hotel and very friendly staff we had no complaints.

Only unfortunate issue was the draining smell in the bathroom, both from toilet and shower drain. Other than that, the bathroom was equipped with a modern shower with lots of hot water and large bathtub which functioned perfectly.

Location was close to loads of the attractions of Prague. Within 10 mins in any direction of major attractions such as Charles bridge, old town, Wenceslas square etc. The room was very quiet and a lovely size for a standard room. The bathroom was large with lovely amenities. The staff were very polite and helpful. Very clean.

Breakfast was a little limited compared to some of the other hotels I have stayed in - but all in all decent enough. Bed a little uncomfortable (not the worst in world) for my needs but I do suffer with back pain so probably would be fine for the majority. Just little things - nothing too major and certainly would stay again.

Very nice hotel, great location with the Kafka spinning statue and a modern mall (Oc Quadrio) with Starbucks, pharmacy, clothestores, books, groceries just outside but walking distance to the sightseeings like the Astronomical clock and the Karlsbridge. Very clean rooms, quiet location, very comfortable beds! Nice staff, elevator, AC, very nice breakfast with both warm and cold options, a lot of fruit, deserts, juice, coffey from the barista if you wanted.

Not much to complain about. There was about 45 channels on the TV but none nordic and only 3 in english and they were only newschannels, the rest were dubbed in german, spanish or italian. The bathroom had products from Rituals but they (schampoo and body wash) were diluted with water

The room was spacious, comfortable and wooden beams across the ceiling enhanced the impression of a nicely furnished attic. Big bathroom with a huge bathtub, shower was taken sitting in the tub. Nice breakfast with very friendly and assertive staff. Staff at the front desk also very friendly and helpful. Wi-fi had a decent capacity. Location was perfect with many restaurants and a supermarket nearby, close to the old town and 5 minutes walking distance to a metro station.

Programs shown on TV were limited to some news channels in English and plenty in other languages, mostly German.

i have stayed at this hotel before which is excellent and has good facilities they now have a restaurant which is a bonus and had a couple of meals there which were very good the breakfast was also very good,it's in a great location opposite the quadrio centre and not far from Wenceslas Square and other attractions, it was very reasonably priced. Last time I stayed I was in a room at the front which was great.This time I stayed in another smaller room which was very dark so will definitely pay a bit more if I stay again, but it was still an enjoyable stay.

The size of the room, it was very small and dark.

Nice Hotel in a great location opposite the quadrio centre which has good shops and the metro and only a short walk to Wencesles Square. Good room facilities.tea and coffee etc, good breakfast plenty of choice, I stayed here a few years ago and the breakfast room was on the lower ground floor, but is now in the new restaurant where I had a couple of meals in the evening which were very nice. The stay was very enjoyable

I enjoyed my stay at the hotel but the room was quite small and very dark, Last time I stayed I was in a superior room which was excellent so I suppose it is worth paying a bit more, but the price I paid was good value for money

The hotel has good breakfast and coffee and tea spread and 24/7 reception with friendly staff. The hotel offered us 10% discount for dining in its Italian resturant, and we glad we did as its pizza and main course tasted super good! There's a shopping mall nearby the hotel with resturants and supermaket with good options, and it's nearby to trams and metro that provide easy access to major attractions. It's also within 10 mins walk to old prague town and nearby boutiques such as Gucci, LV, nesspresso and thai massage for our tired legs.

The standard double room is small and there was no luggage stand or rack for us to place and arrange our luggage as it's a must-have for us. We wish complimentary sets of toothpaste and toothbrush were provided as these are usually provided by hotels. The first two bottles of water are free and if more are needed they are chargeable in the chiller. We wish the bottled water were complimentary.

The location was amazing as it was extremely close to the centre and within walking distance of major attractions. The staff were incredibly friendly and always happy to help. The room was gorgeous and had all the relevant facilities needed. It was perfectly clean. The breakfast was the best buffet style breakfast I have had on a City break due to all its choice.

The first night of our stay was 26 degrees and the air con didn’t work and the technicians took a while to fix it. Also, the bed was two single beds pushed together but nothing connected them so the came apart on more than one occasion.

Excellent location - entrance into the Old Town is 1 minute walk away, there’s a great lifestyle mall called the OC Quadrio directly across from the hotel’s entrance, which also houses a major subway metro station in its basement. Various street-tram stops are additional located within easy walking distance of the hotel. A good spread of restaurants & bars are located on the same street as the hotel. The hotel itself is classic with many modern touches. Staff are awesome - very attentive & accommodating. Luggage storage is available both before & after checkout. Wi-Fi is solid. My room & the property itself were clean throughout. Two options of pillows available on the bed, which was highly appreciated. Complimentary slippers & toiletries were great (Rituals brand in the shower!). Buffet breakfast was on point, and even offered free-flow Mimosas. This will undoubtedly be my preferred hotel for future trips to Prague, based on its price point and combined with the super-convenient location to the Old Town, the one-stop mall across the road and the public-transport options directly nearby.

There was the occasional “grey water” smell coming through the bathroom’s plumbing pipes, but it was less of a problem as such and more of an irritation whenever it occurred during my stay (Room 109)

Very friendly helpful staff, who all spoke great English. The hotel was spotlessly clean and decorated to a very high standard. The breakfast was very nice with a lot of variety, fresh juice and good coffee. Location was perfect as it is central for both new and old town.

We stayed in the deluxe attic room, and found it difficult to regulate the temperature in the room. Even when cold outside with no sun, the heat seemed to radiate up, and so was rather hot. The air conditioning didn't seem to be cold and so blowed the warm air around the room.
