Grand Hotel Saint Michel

great location! walked everywhere! cafes in St Germain are wonderful and safely walkable. Never felt unsafe at any point in the area. The staff was always helpful & kind. my room had a lovely view & I was able to open the windows for fresh air. lobby was great for relaxing and meeting up with friends and having a morning coffee. Beautiful breakfast available for $30-ish. Super nice brekky!

the coffee / tea station in the lobby was inconsistent. Either there were no pods for the coffee machine, or there was no machine at all… or there was no tea or cups. The coffee and water machines in the lower (basement) breakfast area are wonderful offering cappuccino, espresso, etc., and water options including cold sparking water. However you have to rustle up a cup and spoon & you need to make sure they are not charging you for breakfast, which looked wonderful and thorough and super fresh! I’m just not a breakfast eater, but do like my morning Joe. Some issues with electricity going out but staff were attentive and kindly offered breakfast :)

The staff and location are the main reason to stay here. You will be well taken care of in a clean and safe hotel. Staff is quick to help. Patient and kind. Thank you Marie and your fellow front desk staff for ensuring a pleasant experience and excellent customer service. I've stayed here once with my son 3 years ago and most recently with a friend. Reception with a smile, helpful suggestions and someone is always available to help, no matter how busy they are. Any concern or questions were addressed immediately with respect and patience. great location and room

I was charged 180 euros when I checked out. they said it was because of an upgrade in room; but there was no upgrade in room. all they did was simply separate the beds in the same room I already paid for. it was a complete nonsense charge that really left a sour taste in my mouth when I left.

Entrance, reception area and breakfast areas really nicely decorated, staff always very helpful and friendly.

bedrooms feel a little dated, although I felt work was underway to redecorate them whilst we were staying. Comfortable, slept great, just could do with bedrooms matching the feel of other hotel areas.

Location, cleanliness, amenities

My only complaint was having to do with paying for breakfast. When I checked in, the woman at the desk listed everything that was available to me based on my room rate. She just forgot to mention that breakfast would be an additional charge (20 euros). Maybe I should have known. The other things she mentioned, the afternoon refreshments and the spa use WAS free, but she mentioned them all together, and then very specifically said no charge (in French). I don’t feel she specifically intended to deceive, but since I was paying for my family too, it left a bit of a dent in my budget.

we booked the spa we were told 6.15pm. we organised our evening around that time. when we arrived at 6.15pm the appointment had been cancelled

The hotel is well located for access to the Latin Quarter. Due to the size of Paris you'll need transport no matter the location so this was as good as any. We stayed in one of the deluxe suites with a balcony as a special treat. Although expensive, the room was exceptional. The staff were very polite and attentive. I would certainly consider staying here again.

The overall hotel is underwhelming. The lobby is tired looking and they only have a single lift, which was slow. It was a shame as it made the hotel feel less special. While I know Parisian breakfasts are typically continental style, the hotel breakfast was very basic. It was something you'd associated with a small B&B. If you're only after a quick machine coffee and nibble, it's fine.

I had an absolutely amazing experience at the Grand Hotel Saint Michel in Paris. The front desk staff, Lillian and Irene, went above and beyond to make my stay exceptional. Yohan, who worked at the spa, was also a fantastic host. The beds were incredibly comfortable, giving me the feeling of sleeping on a cloud. I loved spending time on the terrace, whether it was for a morning coffee or a relaxing glass of wine at night. The hotel's location was perfect, adding to the overall charm of my stay.

Nothing everything was exceptional. Did not use the restaurant so can’t comment on that

This is a boutique hotel is located right next to one of the La Sorbonne locations so the vibe was youngish, safe and quiet. The location was not close to the normal tourist sites but a few metro lines were very close and a taxi costed 10-17 Euros depending on drop off. We had breakfast included which is great for children and adults both hot and cold items, this was well done and convenient because most restaurants are not open in the morning. The rooms were very clean, beds were comfortable. We booked a family arrangement which worked out really well with adjoining rooms. Staff was wonderful and very helpful.

The rooms are average size for Europe but not a lot of storage, we stayed a 6 nights so it was tight for 2 people in each room with the luggage and the usual sprawl that occurs.

- Location: We couldn't imagine a better one. - Cleanness: Very good 👍 - Staff: We meet two staff members in the reception during our stay. One of them was so helpful and always open to take to and gave us lots of tips. She helped us to book tickets and ....

-Staff: When I took juice from the hotel lobby for my kid, the person in the reception walked after us and locked the refrigerator and told us that it costs extra(2,5€) :D . My kid asked me if she thought that we were going to steal it. -Spa: I expect sth better, but it was just a souna and a massage chair.
