Hotel Fontaines du Luxembourg

Everything was great! The workers at the front desk were incredibly kind and always welcomed us with a smile. The room was very cozy with a very comfortable bed. They gave us bathrobes that were made by the angels themselves. Super heavy and warming :)

As mentioned in previous reviews, the shower had no curtain or separation from the rest of the bathroom. However, it made couple-bathing easier, and eventually fun, so- we liked it! The room was at ground floor, and had no windows to give us an outside view. However, we didn't mind that, since we were traveling every day.

travelled with my daughter for a nice break after a tough 18 months of cancer treatment. As it was a special trip I spent a lot of time researching potential hotels and especially thinking about personal safety. The hotel was lovely, much nicer than the photos. we were given a really beautiful room which was an upgrade from our booking. very comfortable and spacious. the location was amazing, close to Luxembourg RER and Odeon Metro station, a short walk to Boulevard St Germainand the best boulangerie/ patisserie ever, also Pantheon and ‘Emily in Paris’ locations. Moutard and his team were exceptional in looking after us and advising us on safe travel around Paris as well as pointing us to great local restaurants and aforementioned patisserie! everything about the hotel exceeded expectations but it is always the staff that make it and we were so lucky to find this place.

only one minor issue is that the stair carpet is old and worn looking, it was not a problem but on arrival at the hotel it does not give the best first impression as to the quality of the establishment and worried us a little as we arrived late at night and it felt a bit dingy. If you are thinking of booking please don’t worry when you see this on arrival as everything else is fantastic!

A charming hotel in a great location. Easy access to bus and metro. The staff were lovely especially Eric who was a star - incredibly polite and accommodating! Decor lovely. Clean. Beds super comfy. History/age of hotel authentic. Don’t miss a walk through Jardin du Luxembourg.

The rooms we got were very small - barely room to walk around bed. (it’s Paris probably average size) nicely furnished though. Bathroom (shower only) also small but everything you need. Robes provided was nice touch.

a boutique hotel that was clean and well located. Eric, who checked me in, was warm and welcoming, making the check-in process a breeze. The complimentary coffee served in the lobby was amazing, and the pastries were delicious. Although the hotel did not offer any frills or have a restaurant on site, the overall experience was great. The hotel had a quirky layout with a tiny elevator, but it added to the character of the place. I would definitely recommend this hotel for those looking for a simple and comfortable stay - comfortable beds and hot shower!

I can’t say there wasn’t anything I didn’t like. My first thought was I should have picked a standard chain hotel because it seemed quirky. However, it didn’t take long to appreciate the uniqueness and enjoy the space.

There is no refrigerator

Eric and all the staff at the hotel are very helpful and attentive. The breakfast is really good. Plenty of choice even scrambled or boiled eggs if you want them along with a good selection of breads cheeses meats fruit. Coffee any which way you would like it. Very nice lounge next to reception to relax in and have a drink as well as a small patio.

The room we were given initially was very small and cramped. Supposedly it was an upgrade! Being there for a week we would have left if they had not been able to give us a better room. We were fortunate to be given a larger room on the ground floor

Incredibly helpful, friendly, and welcoming personnel, from those greeting you at the front desk to the workers at breakfast. Room was attractive, comfortable, and larger than the average Paris hotel room (also air-conditioned, which is not something I often find in Paris in my price range). Lovely breakfast. And a great location in the 6th arrondissement (near métro stops Odéon and Luxembourg).

I have absolutely no complaints about this hotel. I loved it, and will definitely choose it again.

An super location which was surprisingly quiet. We had a very comfortable large room with a lovely big bathroom on the ground floor looking out over a little courtyard. The staff were very helpful and the breakfast was excellent. There were nice little touches - like the chocolate eggs on the front desk and in the lounge for guests as it was near Easter. We would definitely stay here again.

Just a minor thing- there were plenty mirrors in the bathroom but it would have been useful to have a mirror in the bedroom itself.

I booked this hotel quite close to my stay therefore it was a little above my budget. It exceeded my expectations, The room was big enough with a very generous bathroom. The staff was extra polite and helpful. the location was very convenient (2 stops from the Gare du Nord) there was a carrefour express just opposite the hotel. If asked the front desk staff gave you delicious coffee and tea. One evening we sat at the comfortable sofas at the lobby with my family who were staying at a near by hotel. we had some wine and cheese. The cutlery, plates and glasses were provided by the hotel. there could be complementary breakfast

The location is super convenient. A shortish walk to Notre Dame/Invalides/Louvres/Les Tuleries etc. The ODEON tube is 5 mins from the hotel and the entrance to the gorgeous Jardin Les Luxembourg (great for running or sitting around reading a book and passing the day away) is 2 mins walk away. A gorgeous location with a great variety of restaurants within a stone's throw. Special mention should go the the amazing staff at the hotel. Eric on reception could not have been more helpful and you felt he really cared about making your stay at the hotel a truly exceptional experience. It was really nice that coffee was made available to guests in the lounge at reception.

Whilst the breakfast itself was good and value wise it was good value and the service was amazing from the lady organising, the room in a 17th century basement cavern felt a little claustrophobic and echoed such that conversations from other diners could be heard in a similar way to as if their conversation was being projected to a hifi speaker across the room. However, I do understand that in the summer, breakfast is serviced in the courtyard which would be much better.
