Lilas Gambetta

We loved our stay at Hipotel! The staff was extremely polite, spoke good English, and was willing to help with any questions. The location of the hotel is also perfect. The subway to the city center was within a 5 min walk, and in a distance of 6-7min walk, you can find plenty of supermarket options such as "Carfour Express" or "Carfour City" for quick shopping (e.g., water bottles, cookies, chips, etc.). The room was extremely clean as well. The TV was working; the bedsheets were clean. The staff took good care of our room, and we were delighted during our stay. Another thing I liked about the Hipotel Hotel is that it is located around cafes, patisseries, and restaurants where you will most likely find French people dining; hence the prices are fair (e.g., not a tourist area), and the food is also good. The only drawback I can mention is that the rooms are slightly small and there's no A/C (considering that we stayed in Paris during summer time is quite noticeable). Overall, our experience in Hipotel was pleasant, and we recommend this place to anyone visiting Paris.

The room is small, but has everything you need: a comfortable bed with extra pillows, a table with a kettle and tea/coffee, large shower cabin and fast internet. Bonus: daily cleaning. Location is in 5 minutes from subway station, few supermarkets and cafes

Room is really small and dark. Good for work with a laptop - bad for reading or writing. I spent 4 nights, but tea and coffee bags were refilled only once. Metro line doesn't operate on Sundays

The room was great - very comfortable beds, excellent bathroom and shower. Super buffet breakfast which we had both days - no desire to try elsewhere for breakfast as so nice. Great location - easy metro trips into the centre, easy walk to Pere-Lachaise cemetery, close to Tropical Acquarium by tram. Very kind and helpful staff. Thank you for a great stay!

Maybe the walls were a little thin. As a decent sleeper and user of earplugs, this didn't bother me, but perhaps when the hotel is not full, they could space out the occupied rooms if they do not already?

We had a really good time! The hotel is clean and the public transportation is near by. There is the metro station where you can walk to. The Bus station is right infront the Hotel. The people who work at Lila’s Gambetta are very very kind. Thank you for everything.

Location was near a metro station, the staff was nice, and the breakfast was tasty. Beds were comfortable and clean. The area was calm.

The room was really small, and there was no sound insulation so you could hear absolutely everything from the street and the other rooms. The location was quite far from the city center, and the stores in the area closed really early.

I loved that I had the option to take either the 11 or the 3bis metro after only a short five minute walk from the property. The woman who helped me check in and check out was very friendly and was very accommodating to someone who doesn't speak French. Room was bigger than some that I have stayed in in Europe and had a private bathroom. Bedroom had full length mirror and a little desk. There was also an easy to use safe box that you could set a custom code to to lock away valuables.

Walls are a little thin so you can hear your room neighbors and I was concerned about waking my neighbors when I came back late.

The staff, breakfast, neighborhood, and value were excellent. It wasn't ideal, but overall the Pros far outweighed the Cons,. We'd definitely consider the Lilas again.

We'd booked many weeks in advance and requested a quiet room, but ours faced a semi-noisy street. (the hotel's backside was much quieter.) The room itself was barely wide enough to walk around the beds, but we didn't come to Paris to linger in a hotel room!

It was very clean and the bed was super comfortable. They take good care of the room. The people in the reception who worked there at night and morning were very friendly and helpful. (except the man from the afternoon was very cold and not very welcoming with me). The location is excellent! The price was also perfect!

My room was on the ground floor and my window was facing the sidewalk, so I could see the people very close to me (which made me feel a bit uncomfortable). Fortunately the curtains are there so that I could keep it closed, although I missed having some daylight in my room. But honestly for the price, location and as I needed a place for one day I really don't want to complain too much and would probably go back there.

Really good location, the nearest subway station ~5 min. There are a lots of shops, 2 bakeries and 1 big supermarket. To city center approximately 25 min by subway. Very friendly stuff and tasty candies on reception.

Room has small size. We found someone else's socks under the chair (bad cleaning service). Poor soundproofing of the room. And very bad wi-fi.

Enjoyed my stay. I felt very comfortable travelling solo. It is a nice residential area. It is a bit further away from the center but I loved strolling down Avenue Gambetta. Convenient to have shops around. And the BEST CUTE LITTLE RESTAURANT Cheri-Cherie, a small cute little family place with incredible menu. I ended up eating all three evening there :D
