Novotel Paris 20 Belleville

I liked the staff a lot. I don't speak French but they were very welcoming and patient with me and my children. The facilities were always clean (room, corridor, lift, Lounge, dinning area etc). The breakfast was very tasty and nice. I would recommend the hotel to anyone.

There was no hot plate to keep the food warm if you came down later for breakfast. My room had a funny shaped shower which made having a shower unpleasant for me and my daughter. For dinner the most liked desserts were never available (Mango ice cream). Couldn't buy a bottle of wine to take up to your room as non was available.

It was clean and new and the staff was very nice. The included breakfast was also good.

The location right by the Couronnes metro is good and it is convenient for getting to and from the train station, but it is not convenient for getting to the central Paris metro lines. When the weather is good, one can walk to more centrally located lines, but in the high heat we experienced this was one drawback of our stay. Also, the service was good for the price and location, but it would have been a perfect stay for us if they had a place to store our bags when we arrived early instead of charging us 40 euros to get into the room early.

Very helpful staff. Extremely clean rooms (it's a new hotel). A quiet place. Public transport is two steps away. Some of Paris' top bakeries are within walking distance.

Water from the shower was able to enter the room, seems like a design flaw. As time passes I expect mold will build up. "Terrace" room was facing an inner yard, definitively not like in the picture. You could only see other flats. At least it was quiet but definitively not worth the extra money.

Stayed for 5 nights here. Great and friendly staffs, very clean room/hotel and metro station is just infront of the hotel. It is not in the center of Paris but if you know how to follow the metro map, you will not have any issue.

Location ok , 35 mins to Eiffel Tower 20 mins central Paris in a Uber, room smaller than picture looked,but adequate. Very clean, guy who ran coffee shop was very good, didn’t have breakfast

Water not restocked after day 1

A very modern and clean hotel in a good location for central Paris. There is a Metro station just across the road from the hotel, providing easy access to Paris. Very friendly and helpful staff. The car park is quite small and can only accommodate fairly small cars. However, there is car park only 2 minutes away, which has cctv and is manned 24/7. Two nights in the car park for a VW Arteon was €55.

The rooms are not that big, especially for a family of 4. Phone calls to reception and room service were poor and I ended up having to physically go the restaurant to order dinner and subsequently find out why it had not be delivered - an hour later!

Very Nice hotel with friendly staff. Perfect location next to metro station, with very good connection to all attractions of Paris. In the neighborhood of hotel many good and not very expensive restaurants, so coming back in the evening you still have a chance for good dinner or drink. Traveling by car you can take garage in the hotel what is very important in such a crowded city like Paris. Comfortable rooms.

A little bit chaotic during breakfast, but good choice of food and drinks.

The reception staff was always friendly and extra helpful with any questions or directions we needed. The room was very clean and comfortable. For these reasons, I would recommend this hotel. An added plus is the Patisserie aka bakery that is two doors down from hotel entrance. The BEST ever! We visited every morning and night.

The neighborhood location was not the most desirable. It took quite some time to Uber/Taxi into the tourist areas. The metro is just steps away from the hotel entrance but one trip feeling unsafe on it was enough. Hotel is in a VERY diverse area/neighborhood

We had the balcony / terrace room which was a bit more pricey but well worth it. Gave far more space to chill in. The hotel is pretty new, rooms bigger than most in Paris and it has a great lift. The views were amazing, and sitting outside in the evenings and watching the world go by was fantastic. It was only marred by the weather which was bad one day. The staff were great, but practice French as they weren’t all English speakers, although they could communicate what was needed. The restaurant, which is separate I think, has amazing food, but pretty high end and posh so quite expensive, with small “Masterchef” portions in case you are hungry. It was a bit empty and stark when we went in. The cafe was comfy and did great basics. Sometimes it was understaffed, but never a real problem. The location is bustling and lively, and not touristy. Good food and drink from many different cultures - Chinese, Vietnamese, African, Italian as well as French cafes / Bistros. Do a bit of research and you will find gems. Easy walk to La Marais area which is great, and in fact we walked from there to Seine / Notre Dame. Also Bellieville is the other side and that’s a fantastic area too. The whole area could be compared to an East London vibe without the hipsters ;-)

Small things, but a table on terrace with tve chairs would be good, and proper cups ( not paper) for tea and coffee. Would expect that for price. Beware when using hand held shower head the water overflows onto floor and we spent a long time mopping it up. Doesn’t seem to drain and shower screen not good. I think it’s because water jet is powerful and drainage doesn’t hold up.

Good location in front of the metro, lovely and clean. Cleaning staff were very friendly, reception staff were polite and efficient but not overly welcoming. Breakfast was good, chefs very friendly, room was spotless and beds very comfortable, shower was wonderful! My only gripe was that the shower glass was nowhere near big enough and the bathroom floor got flooded each time we showered, we used a few towels just mopping this up each time. We used their parking which was underneath the hotel we have an SUV with a roof box so it was very tight, not much room for error but extremely convenient. We had a lovely stay and would recommend.
