Lovely hotel which was clean, 24hr reception and had a bag store for leaving bags once checked out. The small double was comfortable for two! The location was also great for using the metro.

The bathroom in the room was small even for two petite ladies but manageable for a few nights. The wet room style meant the whole floor could get skippy and a little damp as no window.

I was quite anxious about our stay because of some of the other comments I had read, but our experience was fully positive. The hotel is nicely decorated and everything was functional (including the lift and the AC), the staff were friendly and accommodating, the room was nice and clean clean (sure, there was some dust under the TV table, but overall it was clean, and they changed the linen every day), with nice Nuxe toiletries, and we really liked the breakfast (thumbs up for good coffee, pancakes and great cheese platter). The hotel is situated in a pedestrian street, so there was no traffic noise at night. The location is good for exploring the city, going to CDG airport and to Disneyland (Gare du Nord is about 15min away on foot, and there are 3 metro lines nearby). All in all, we were really pleased with our stay, with nothing negative worth mentioning.

A mini bar (i.e. fridge) in the room would be much appreciated.

Cute and stylish hotel in a good location for getting around Paris. The staff were efficient and friendly. The room was compact (what I'd expect from an old building) but very comfortable and warm. Especially the beds! Mostly very quiet too.

The shower/bath set-up in our room was not good for tall people. My husband is 6'4 and had to hunch over and sprayed water all over the floor. Confusingly, there are two other hotels with similar names in the same vicinity - we discovered both when we arrived and were quickly trying to escape the rain so not paying attention! So make sure you use the exact address to find it. Next time I'd ask for a room with a better view.

The room was tidy, offering a nice view, and the staff was welcoming and friendly.

The room was pretty and newly renovated with modern design, with an overall nice ambiance. While I appreciated the updates, the room was really small. When it came to breakfast, I must admit I was hoping for a bit more variety. The options were somewhat limited, which left me wishing for a wider selection. And one last thing worth mentioning is the fact that on the last night, they were collecting the towels to have them cleaned, which resulted in some noise as they were being loaded into a car. While this disturbance occurred again in thew middle of the night, I didn't investigate to confirm if it was the same activity.

Fantastic small hotel in an ideal location, what made it extra special was the guy at reception, I didn’t catch his name but nothing was too much trouble for him. Breakfast was also great I didn’t expect a whole lot but had the usual cold continental style breakfast but with the added benefit of scrambled eggs and sausages. The rooms are on the small side but have everything you needed, lovely shower and very clean. No English channels on our tv but that was really a bonus in such a beautiful city, no excuse not to go out and explore. I’d highly recommend a say here.

What’s not to like? I did my research on this hotel and it exceeded expectations

The New Hotel Lafayette is a beautiful and modern hotel located in one of the tendriest neighbourhoods in Paris! I loved the location, the design of the lobby and the rooms and the staff. Everyone was very polite and they took good care of us. The lobby is open 24h and staying at the New Hotel Lafayette felt cozy because of the size of the hotel (not too big), the decoration and the bedroom's design and views. It is an old Haussmanien building completely renovated and everything is new and pretty, also the bathrooms and the elevator. It's in a pedestrian street with no cars passing by, next to 2 main subway stations and rue des Martyrs and Faubourg Poissonnière. Cadet, the Grands Boulevards, Pigalle and Opéra are closeby.

The cleaning service started working at 10am and we could hear the hoover and some other noises quite early in the morning. Since it's an old building, we can sometimes hear the neighbours. Some of the facilities are a bit damaged and the corridors were not super clean. The rooms have two tiny wardrobes and we did not have hair towels.

Comfy room, clean and comfy bed also pillows, just walking distance to Metro and surrounding by many nice restaurants and cafes and shops.

By suddent increase tax , first 2nights( 2/1 till 4/1) I only paid less than €8 but for another extended 2nights (4/1 till 6/1) i must paid €30 , only said city tax increase without giving me THE BILL, the staff that time name Michael . He said Government increasing but cmon from less than 8 to 30 , its more than 3x , ridiculous. And going to last day house keeping did not fullfill toiletries anymore even already used and left only half, untill i have to ask to Michael , yes he gave me but should be hiuse keeping keep maintance to fullfill toiletries and also tea and coffee sachets

The location, the hotel is walking distance from Gare du Nord, about 15 minutes straight down rue Lafayette, it is also a 20 minute walk to Louvre, 10 minutes to galleries Lafayette. The front desk staff are very friendly and helpful, the cleaners do a brilliant job each day can't fault anyone.

I must say it was an exceptional experience. First and foremost, the hotel boasts a fantastic location, making it incredibly convenient to explore the city's attractions. Upon entering the hotel, I was immediately struck by the stunning decor, both in the common areas and the rooms. The attention to detail in the interior design is truly remarkable, creating a sophisticated and inviting ambiance that added to the overall charm of my stay. One aspect that particularly impressed me was the quality of the linens and towels in the room. But what truly sets this hotel apart is its exceptional staff. The team members were not only friendly but also incredibly helpful, Lastly, considering the high standards in Paris, I found the pricing to be surprisingly affordable for the level of comfort and service provided. In conclusion, I cannot speak highly enough of my experience.

There was nothing that I did not like.

We had 24 hours in Paris and needed a hotel close to the Eurostar ( we could walk) and smack bang close enough for us to smash out the sights on foot or metro. This cute little hotel ticked all the boxes. We had a Family Suite which was plenty of room for two adults and two teenagers and worked out cheaper than booking two rooms. Those complaining about room size, probably booked a small room, you pay for what you get. Close to loads of restaurants and the metro too. Just buy a day zone 1-2 ticket too, not the day rider as this more than covered the sights. We walked a load too and made it to the Arc De Triumph on foot. Recommended. Hot tip, Go up the Eiffel Tower at night after dinner, so much prettier and less crowded.

It ticked all the boxes. We didn't eat in but found an amazing breakfast in Montemarte, a 20 min walk away.
