Hôtel Joe M

I was very pleasantly surprised! The room was wonderful and quite spacious if you compare to what is the average in Paris center! It had actually room for a big table and space for our luggage!! Minimal but cozy aesthetic like the photos. When it comes to the property as a whole it was really nice and the location was perfect!!! If you enjoy walking like me then most attractions are 30 minutes away! And you get to enjoy all the wonderful sights and really see the city! The neighborhood is very lively with many restaurants, fast foods and supermarkets around. Also the Grand Boulevards metro station is a 5 min walk from the property! The breakfast was a buffet with a decent basic selection but it was very satisfying! Last but not least there is a 24hour reception and the staff are all friendly and kind! They also kept our luggage on the last day after we checked out in order for us to go on a last walk in the city and get them when it was time to leave for the airport.

The only downside was the bathroom door. It was a slide that had poorly isolation. Not only of sound but also of visibility as it had a two fingers gap from the wall. Sharing a room with friends might be a bit awkward. But me staying with my mom I guess it was okay.

The location was fantastic - near some of the great passages in Paris, which are always fun to explore and shop in, and also had some great restaurants in the area. It was also very close to the metro on a surprisingly quiet street right off of a busy area. The breakfast was also pretty good - a few nice hot options along with the normal yogurts, breads, and cheeses.

The shower was the smallest shower I've even seen in a hotel - I actually had trouble getting into the shower and using it, as did my friend who was traveling with me. It was incredibly uncomfortable and I only showered once since I was traveling to another hotel two days later. There was a very narrow opening to get into the shower itself and I ended up with a small cut on my arm from going through the opening to get into the shower, where my body touched the walls and I couldn't turn around in the shower. My friend likewise reported that she couldn't shower without touching the walls with her body. The photos online only show bathrooms with a bathtub with a shower head - definitely not what we received.

All of the staff were very friendly, professional, helpful and welcoming, we loved the interior decor which gave the hotel a relaxed and comfortable vibe and it is located off a quiet street. The bed was very comfortable, the shower was good and the bathroom very clean & serviced regularly. Having the balcony was lovely, where we had coffee overlooking the street and roof tops. It was particularly important to have good air conditioning as it was very hot in Paris when we were there and it was not a noisy unit as can sometimes can be the case. We slept very well in this hotel. Little things like croissants and coffee which you could get sometimes at reception was a nice touch. There was no problem leaving our luggage and there is someone on reception 24 hrs. Having a phone in our room was really helpful and we were told by reception that should we have any problems to ring anytime. The coffee machine and safe was also great. The coffee provided was very nice and we also liked the toiletries which were a good quality. Room service was excellent, our room was serviced every day which was great and everything was spotlessly clean. The location of the hotel was also fantastic as we could walk to Gare du Nord in 20 mins and to all the main galleries and parks easily as well as by the Seine and shopping areas. The neighbour where the hotel is situated is brilliant with a convenience store across the street and there are lots of lovely cafes and restaurants to choose from. We particularly would recommend La Comète cafe which has lovely food and is reasonably priced which is 2 mins walk from the hotel. We did not dislike anything about this hotel but I guess it would be useful if there could be a fridge in the balcony room which is in some of the rooms that do not have the balcony.

My son is 1 meter 93 cm and he couldn’t stand up in the shower, so we asked for a room with a bathtub. Thank you, they changed it for us and it was very comfortable. Towels were changed every day. The breakfast room is very bright, beautiful dishes and delicious coffee))) Location is excellent. Everething is around the corner: subway, laundry, grocery stores, cafes, restaurants... It is about 25 min walk to the Louvre.

In the bathroom there is very narrow glass on the bathtub itself; you have to wash close to the wall, otherwise all the water will be on the floor.

Loved the location, between a few metro stops. Gorgeous aesthetic, we loved the balcony! Perfect vibe for myself and my friend.

The walls were very thin, but didn’t bother us as we were hardly in the room. The bathroom doors don’t fully close which isn’t great when staying with friends. Wish the room was the same as the photos with 2 windows, it only had 1 which made it a bit darker. Also wish the mirror was in a better place than behind the door. However, these elements didn’t effect our stay, we still had an amazing time and loved it!

Super clean room, very friendly staff with a 24/7 front desk, there's good air conditioning and an elevator. The hotel is in a great location - walkable distance from significant tourist sites, nearby metro stations, shopping, coffees and restaurants. We got a taxi service from the airport included in our Booking.com reservation which was a lovely plus!

The elevator is tiny (but then it often is in Europe). On our last day we asked front desk in advance to book us a taxi back to the airport. Taxi arrived 30 minutes late and apparently was more expansive than ordering one from the FreeNow app - so I'd recommend compare prices with the app and monitor front desk to make sure the taxi service arrives on time.

Very friendly staff; rooms were always clean; breakfast is simple but sufficient for my taste (although for this price - 18 euros, I'd recommend eating in a Parisian cafe); location is convenient

Rooms are really very small; there is almost no light in the room (artificial one is not strong, and one tiny window is facing the inner "walls"); doors are thin, so you can hear when anyone is passing by (we were lucky and there were not much noise, but we'd hear everything if it was)

Staff very polite, helpful and friendly. Comfortable beds. Very clean. Nice simplistic decor. Great location with lots of cafes, restaurants and boulangeries around. Reasonable for Paris. Provided good toiletries and tea bags/milk with kettle.

Lift is super super small, and for some one whose claustrophobic it wasn’t ideal as was given room on 6 floor but they changed the room to lower level the next day. Not much space to chill in hotel very tight spaces. Windows had views of walls.

Location: 10 min from the first metro Breakfast: amazing and full of variety: eggs, yoghurt, croissant, baguette. High quality. Cleaness: the whole place is all renovated and very clean.

The temperature in the room was a bit too hot but there was only heat pump to regulate it so a bit uncomfortable during the night. The toilet is really tiny but coherent with Paris sizes and proportioned to the price. I missed some hangers for clothes/towels.

It was small but very comfy. Modern interior which I like. The bed was comfy, there was also a small bench for sitting. Loved the espresso machine, the balcony, view from balcony, daily maid service. But most of all the staff were wonderful, pleasant, always with a smile. They were also helpful when we needed something such as an adapter for the outlet, unfortunately it didn’t fit our plug from US. They helped us with a wine bottle opener, and wine glasses. I’ll definitely stay here again
