Best Western Plus Embassy Hotel

The most important advantage is hotel’s location in a very safe place. Second positive thing is the reception desk staff, who was always friendly and ready to help. Thank you!

The building itself seems to be quite old, so there is no sound isolation at all. You can hear every door in your floor close and open, you can even hear your neighbor’s alarm clock. Unfortunately, I couldn’t sleep well with all the noises. Another thing is that rooms really need renovation, if you expect a real 4* hotel, it’s not the right place. However, taking into consideration the price and the location, it still seems to be a good choice.

Quiet location with friendly, helpful staff. Front desk offered to help with my suitcase to my room, since elevator only goes to floor 6 and my room was on floor 7. Room was huge and balcony area you could go out on (even chairs/small table in room you could move outside if you wanted to. Great selection of toiletries in the bathroom and nice for robe/slippers in room. Bed was very comfortable. Hotel staff helped arrange very early taxi to the airport. Walkable location the subway - maybe 10-15 minutes depending how fast you walk (and if you know where you are going) - just watch the weekend schedules for subway out towards- I didn't look and had a long wait (schedule going in towards Syntagma were much more frequent). Since it was a quiet location, I was happy to meet some friendly cats down the block!

The vent fan in the bathroom sounded like it needed to be put down... so loud. Air conditioning was a bit of a struggle to get working properly (even asking the hotel staff with the settings). I suggest they include instructions in the room. Eventually the room cooled off, but if it was mid summer and power is not on when no one in room, I'd be concerned how hot it might get. Perhaps the AC in that room just needed some maintenance. No outlets that I could easily find next to the bed (but I didn't start moving furniture around).

The rooms were quite big with high ceilings which was nice. Location is close to ΜΑΒΙΛΗ Bus stop about 3 min walk ( Bus X95 goes to airport) and Ambelokipi Metro station about 5-7 min walk which have trains to the airport as well as Centre of Athens like Syntagma.

There is construction work just across the building at the moment so it was bit noisy during the day but evenings were very quite and peaceful. This will impact only if your room is facing the construction site.

We arrived in the evening with two large suitecases were unable to get a taxi. Had half a mile walk to the hotel, The girl on Reception was amazingly helpful. Also the day we checked out of the hotel another young girl on the reception was very helpful. She printed out my boarding passes. The reception staff were very pleasant. One of the male receptionist took our cases and held them for us until it was time for us to leave for our flight. Nothing was too much trouble.

Room was great.staff friendly n helpful. Close to transport and even close enough to walk into Athens center.2km.good breakfast too.used their gym as well. Small n basic but enough to get the job done..and hey ,were on holiday!

Internet was very unreliable for first 3 days but possibly this was out of the control of the hosts. Also be aware that the view from our balcony was a building been redeveloped and was noisy during the day but we were out most of the day anyway .

Very helpful staff, and available 24 hours a day. Recommended a great restaurant within walking distance. We were close to a metro stop a few blocks away. Superb breakfast. Amazing bakery and a small park with a fountain a block or so away! There was an Cafe within the park ... tables under the trees, full of people enjoying a drink or food on a lovely evening. Nice atmosphere. We took the metro to the airport.

Needed to take transit to Plaka, but bus on main street and metro within 2 stops. Easy to do.

It’s clean & comfortable. very polite, competent friendly staff. good beds & pillows. there is a kettle, tea, coffee in the room. Metro station is about 250 meters. bus stop are about 100 meters. Lots of restaurants around. Short distance bus tickets can be bought at the kiosk near the bus stop. Long distance & metro tickets can only be bought at metro stations.

This hotel has seen better days. Bathrooms need renovation. Breakfast is filling but it was the same every day. Some change in dishes would be good.

John at the front desk was very helpful for recommendations! The breakfast was good overall. We were pleased as we requested twin beds and when we got a queen they kindly moved us to a room with two beds instead. The laundry service isn't used on the weekend but we were pointed to a laundromat nearby that was great. We left Athens to visit Naxos and came back to the same hotel and they held our large suitcases for us which was really helpful! We would stay here again!

- Right near city centre - Large rooms - The second time I stayed here the room was much bigger and the bathroom was much better (within the same month)

- The first time i stayed here the bathroom was very small and the shower doesn't work that well

There was a good breakfast buffet service each morning. The room was comfortable with good water and air conditioning. The bed had four pillows. There were plenty of power sockets to plug in and recharge my devices. The WiFi was usually good enough to get things done, browsing Google maps, uploading photos to Facebook, etc. I did not need much housekeeping service, so it was nice to not be bothered during my stay. A five-minute walk to the nearest Metro station. Some small restaurants and stores within a couple of blocks.

The bathroom light didn't turn on, probably just a little circuit breaker thing.
