The Margi

The Margi is located on Athens Riviera, we had been staying in central Athens and this hotel was more peaceful. About 30 min taxi to Athens central sights and 10 min walk to the beach. Beautiful luxury hotel. Compact not a large hotel (bonus for us). Pool area is lovely. Small but perfectly formed Spa. Dinner was lovely, fresh ingredients, plenty of wine choices. Initial room didn’t have balcony (as requested) but very quickly remedied and moved to better room. Most staff so very obliging and kind, looked after us well. We would recommend, we would stay again and we would encourage anyone visiting Athens to take a break from the city and stay here!

We had paid for beach beds in advance and know Krabo Beach is connected to the hotel, worth checking if hotel guests have to pay for beach beds. Also the Spa you need to book to use the pool/sauna for 1 hour use. My only real disappointment was we booked diner for 8:30, when we sat down we were told we could only have the table for 1 1/2 hours and when we asked for dessert and an extra drink (as initial service was slow), we were told we couldn’t have dessert. We then had a drink at the bar and for the next hour the table we vacated, stayed empty!

There is lots to love about the hotel, including the great facilities (pool, spa, gym), fantastic restaurant, amazing staff, stylish decor, but I’d say my favourite thing had to be the breakfast. Huge array of options on offer, all of which were absolutely delicious, lots of which are made from ingredients from their very own farm! Second favourite thing was the smell, which it turns out is from their Margi candle, which you can buy!!

If I am being ultra critical, the location of the hotel compared to others is slightly out of the way from lots of the restaurants, bars etc. Most of these I found to be concentrated on the other side of the seafront, where it seems a lot of development seems to have occurred. It is worth mentioning that the walk is very short, maybe 5-10 mins, and the walk is a pleasant one with views of the sea etc all the way.

Breakfast, staff, location and hotel vibe and ambiance was fantastic. Staff were friendly and engaging. Mornings were lovely at breakfast, pool was fun and buzzing and evening/lighting/bar ambiance was really nice and fun at night. Rooms are comfortable, modern and clean. Plenty of towels, complimentary Nespresso coffee, water and chocs daily including turndown service. They are small, esp the entrance to the room as cupboard doors when open block the walkway. Wardrobe doors slam which is annoying sound to hear daily multiple times so need a rubber or soft close. Small issue which can be fixed.. Rooms facing the pool can be a bit noisy at night due to bar music/people chatting. But overall still comfortable room and we would return. Breakfast was great, fresh eggs from their farm, Excellent coffee (espresso fredo my fav!) and staff truly so attentive, pleasant and helpful. We loved staying there.

See above. Wardrobe doors need handles and rubber to prevent slamming noise when closed.

Beautiful boutique style hotel set in quite residential area. There is a beach nearby and shops and restaurants in walking distance. Staff were very attentive and professional.

Room sizes were a little tight Housekeeping was generally good but so times things were forgotten, clean cups for the room, water, tea bags.

Oh là là, the property was simply magnifique, cheri! The accommodations were tres belle, and those breakfasts? Like a delicious rendezvous with paradise. And let me tell you about that DJ, he set the mood just right, and the dinners, ooh la la, they were pure culinary romance. 💃 I wholeheartedly recommend The Margi, my darlings, it's a touch of elegance you won't want to miss.

Everything was excellent.

Staff were excellent especially Afrodite, Theo at Breakfast and his staff Kosta and Georgia. Pool was excellent ( would be nice if it was in the sun in the afternoon. Breakfast was very good and menu was comprehensive but I thought the buffet options were limited, limited cereals, no honey no sultanas, limited cheeses and ham. But the service and overall offering was excellent. Kosta behind the bar is a real character and good at his job. Victorious was also a helpful young man. The porter service also very good. The outstanding person above all however was Afrodite. Very helpful, great restaurant recommendations, shopping ideas, very promo, great communication, very good good follow up. Allaway’s a smile and couldn’t do enough for us. Amazing, keep her!!

Room was very small for the price. Limited sunbeds available around the pool. Gym has limited equipment, also there were parties being celebrated which was fine but the Americans were very noisy around the pool, very noisy and disrespectful coming home at 3.00 am slamming doors and shouting in the hallway. You can’t control noisy Americans but you can put a softer closing mechanism on the doors.

Great boutique hotel in Vouliagmeni, which does not have many hotels in the first place. The other choice would have been Four Seasons but it would be more expensive and has the negatives of a big hotel

+ The staff at breakfast & concierge service were wonderful + The room (my friend & I were upgraded — we were given a two-bedroom suite with a loft room) + beautiful pool area & bar. Great lighting at night + we were given a small discount at the nearby beach club due to same ownership— nice touch by the manager - the staff at reception were professional but could be a little more friendly & relaxed

The staff is amazing! I have been staying here for 20 years straight. Everyone is like family at the Margi. So helpful and attentive. Excellent breakfast. Amazing pool and ambiance. Kostantinos at the bar is the best! I have nothing negative to say (as usual). Can’t wait to go back next year! Restaurant is excellent for lunch and dinner as well!

As we arrived the stuff greeted us warmly, the ambiance and smell in all ares of the hotel was great. Breakfast was perfect, all the ingredients are fresh from the hotel farm and the coffee was perfect as well. I loved that there is a limit of 4 people in the spa facilities. The stuff of the restaurant were professional and pleasant and the food was well done.

I would have preferred it was not allowed to smoke close to the dining room since the smoke bothers me a lot

room was comfortable, our room had a nice view of the pool. Breakfast was good, nice selection, coffee was very good. Pork products could have been better Pool was lovely albeit smaller than we thought

More channels/music would have been nice - not that we watched much Sofa's by the pool were old and need replacing Room glazing was not sound proof
