We had a wonderful stay in the Creta Blue Boutique Hotel - the hotel itself, the view, the restaurant and the super tasty food, the friendly personnel - everything at superlative! Kudos to Lavinia, who always has great wine suggestions (not to mention how positive and friendly she is). When departing, it felt like having to separate from friends. Thank you to the whole team for everything!

Beautiful hotel. Great location, amazing food and wonderful staff. Everyone makes you feel very welcome and special. Rooms are lovely, clean, modern and spacious. I wish I had booked a room with a view - it’s an amazing location with fabulous views. The garden view/suite is lovely however the ocean view would’ve been amazing.

Fantastic staff, attentive and always looking after us. Also, very accomodating with our 3am arrival time. The location is perfect - walking distance from local tavernas, but far enough from the hustle and bustle of Hersonissos. It's a bit of a walk to the beach, but this was not an issue at all - the view from the top was certainly worth the walk!

Although plentiful, repetitive breakfast and the lack of options - over 7 days it was a bit too much, but for a shorter stay would be fine. Very slow wi-fi - made it very tricky to read digital magazines.

Creta Blue is a beautiful boutique hotel built into the hillside, 5 minutes walk from the small bustling town of Koutouloufari in Crete and only 25 minutes drive from Heraklion airport. It's a perfect location to take some time out for yourself, the staff are friendly and personable and you are treated from arrival as if you are an old friend, to be fair I noticed over our two week stay that many of the guests are just that, as they return year after year and I now understand why! Their restaurant, Blue Moon, offered some wonderful Cretan dishes and proved to be my favorite of all the different eateries we tried over the two weeks.

Best food around, Staff is the best staff I’ve ever been around. The hotel itself is fantastic and the location is higher up and incredibly peaceful away from the hustle and bustle of the town.

On arrival, the plumbing was messed up so they gave us an upgrade for the first night. However, our actual room looked way better than the first night. They also made us wait outside by the pool after checkout of the first room until our actual room was ready and it started raining.

Gorgeous views and beautiful pool. The breakfast was fantastic and the staff really went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. They also gave us suggestions on where to visit that made our stay very memorable and introduced us to what the surrounding area offers in rich history, beauty, and adventure.

The roads up to the property are steep and narrow through an old area of town that was challenging for us with the cheap stick shift we rented that did not have much power to start on hills if we had to stop. The views are worth being on the hill, but I’d recommend getting a high quality car or an automatic.

We had an incredible time at the Crete Blue boutique hotel during our three-night stay with our 1.9-year-old son! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the amazing place and the incredibly friendly staff. George personally welcomed us with open arms, and the entire team was always ready to help us with a smile. The hotel itself is absolutely gorgeous, and the food at the on-site restaurant was beyond delicious – seriously, the best we had during our entire vacation in Crete! If you're thinking about visiting Crete, we highly recommend staying at the Crete Blue boutique hotel. The hospitality was outstanding, and we felt right at home, especially with our young child. We were truly impressed, and we would love to come back again in the future!

we liked everything!

The two things we loved most about the hotel were the staff and the atmosphere of the dining and pool area. The staff were kind and most importantly sincerely friendly. The dining area was so comfortable and has beautiful views. The bed was very comfortable and a one of the best pillows I have had in a hotel ! The breakfast is great as it's not a buffer so probably better for less wastage.

The bathroom is not particularly well ventilated for our room as there is no window in it. No one's fault really. Also the bed has only blankets and sheets available apparently due to COVID restrictions as we would have preferred a duvet/doona. Also the kettle had a strange smell and it's not recommended to drink the local tap water. I recommend they get tap filters in the room (I know it's a hassle ) to avoid bottled water.

The lovely, simple, white stucco hotel sits on a beautiful mountainside, in an exceptional location, with stunning views of the Mediterranean from every angle. The warm welcome and caring attention to us (we arrived very late, and my wife had surgery and walks with difficulty using crutches) was very much appreciated. The dining team are very attentive and friendly, and served us two lovely breakfasts with local specialties. Neither of us are great honey eaters, but we quickly grew to love the fabulous cretan yoghurt with local honey. The room was simple and comfortable, with a huge comfy bed and a super shower, huge fluffy towels, nice high quality soaps and shampoos, a fridge, electric water jug, cups, wine glasses, plates and cutlery. This was so convenient as we can't really eat every meal at restaurants! Notably, the room and hotel decor was lovely, simple and used local materials and basketry. We would highly recommend the hotel for a wonderfully friendly, reasonable and enjoyable place to spend your holiday.

Breakfast choice was a bit limited but probably due to Covid-19 there was no buffet. (But, we did have offers of seconds on any item and this probably saves enormously on food waste!) Coming from Scandinavia, we did not like the thin blankets and sheet system..it was too little for the spring season, even with the extra blanket, and we suggest that a duvet and duvet cover would have been perfect. We did not eat dinner at the hotel, as it seemed rather expensive at 37 euros per person, in comparison with the excellent tavernas that are every where in abundance and very reasonable.
