Fariyas Resort Lonavala

Everything. The staff, the reception( I was attended by Namaira ( sweet girl, hope I have spelt it right ), the room, the view ( stayed in classic premium king ) the room service, the in-room dining, the house keeping, everything was perfect. We had ala carte meals in the Asian joint ( enjoyed the meals and drinks and hospitality ) so are unaware of buffet meals. Buffet breakfast was a good spread and servers were very friendly and comfortable. We stayed for two weekend nights. Enjoyed every bit of it. Nice pool comfortable swim. Enjoyed water slides.

Our bathroom exhaust was inoperative. During checkout I had to wheel my luggage as the bellboy did not turn up for 15 long mins

Breakfast was nice however parathas were very chewy, perhaps made of all purpose flour. All the three mornings had some form of aloo paratha, could have provided different options. All other breakfast options and flavors were awesome. Ala Carte Dinner in the fusion restaurant was awesome, we went with chef special mango tres leches cake and it was decadent. we highly recommend. Rooms were spacious and clean. housekeeper was very friendly and nice, provided excellent service. Want to acknowledge Onkar, Deb and Mehak. Onkar and Deb provided excellent service in the dining rooms and Mehak walked us thro property and explained all the facilities. Thanks to her we were able to book spa appointments.

We liked the Christmas ambience of the foyer and the hotel in general. Our two kids really enjoyed the Christmas decorations. Also, the Water Park rides were a hit with our kids who enjoy playing in the Pool.

We were a bit disappointed that , being non-vegetarians, we did not get the chance to enjoyed Mutton, Pork and Fish dishes for the Breakfast Buffet. Even the limited A La Carte Menu did not have Mutton or Pork dishes. Also, the location of the Hotel, being situated on a hill and inaccessible to local transport, proves risky for respiratory and heart patients, who cannot go out for walk, stroll at any time.

The highlight of the property is the indoor heated swimming pool and water slides which are very enjoyable, there is a small shop available to buy swim wear as well.

The food seems overpriced for quantity. On average one needs to spend 2000 INR per person per meal . While these may be 5 star rates but the quantity is not of a standard 5 star for in house dining or orders in restaurant. The buffet is good but as most buffets only some items may appeal so it may be better to order dine in or restaurant. The property is rated as 5 star but it needs to be kept a little well . There was a damaged wall in their fusion restaurant and some things just didn't meet 5 star standards in terms of maintenance.

Location, cleanliness, excellent hospitality

We have been here 4 times now. The only change I felt in the spiciness of the food. It has definitely gone up. I mean even a plain dal was tasting spicy. Not sure if the head chef has been replaced. Not even just dal, but the spiciness in other gravies also had gone up. We could literally feel that burning sensation on our tongue. Please look into this as this resort is known for its excellent food spread. Not everyone prefers spicy food, try to keep it balanced please.

The resort is wonderful, its clean, there is a lot to do on the property itself, the temperature controlled pool is a huge perk specially during the winters. The rooms are big and spacious, the balconies are a huge plus. The staff is very very hospitable, warm and friendly. Right from the entrance, the reception, the pool area staff to the room service staff, everyone greets you with a warm smile. Shout out to Akshay for attending to our requests. The zipline was thrilling, Sumit and Rakesh were very sweet and helped us calm our nerves.

The breakfast spread could have been better. We only liked the live counters - dosas, waffle. Everything else at the spread was average.

The Staff behaviour was exceptional, starting from the Gate Keepers to the entire in-house team. The Room we booked ( Deluxe Premium) was pretty modern, spacious and had a Balcony overlooking the hills. The Bathroom was well equipped with all trendy fittings and an extremely desirable bathtub. One aspect that stood out was the gorgeous spread in the Dinner and Breakfast buffets, that just about floored us and made our stay worthwhile.

The once popular Swimming pool that had various slides and other fun elements was not functional and under maintenance. Therefore, apart from an indoor swimming pool there wasn't much excitement around.

I stayed in Fariyas from 23 Jan 23 to 26 Jan 23, I was on a relaxing holiday with just Me and my Mom. We stayed in Classic Suite. It was really an awesome experience for the price I paid the room was big, neat and clean, spacious, the bathroom was beautiful with the bathtub. The staff were very courteous and helpful, early check-in was provided without any hassle. The restaurant is amazing we had all our lunch at Asian fusion and basically tried most of the dishes while our 3 day stay, they do have variety of vegetarian options and were unique and portion wise full-filling, the chef also interacts with us and make sure things are proper. I had booked the stay with meals included for breakfast & dinner which were buffet and the dishes were all new each time. Shout out to all the on floor waiters (Omkar, Pransenjit, Prajhol, Sandipan, Ranbir, there were 2 girls during buffet cant remember their names) all the member they were very very helpful, and polite each time for all my Mom's request for the little things such has warm water instead of regular water to drink, tea made in certain way. The highlight and memory to take away was that my Mom enjoyed and felt delighted by the stay, service and hospitality, that she tells her friends to visit the property. So I wouldn't say that the price I paid was high, low or moderate, because in all the experience was fabulous right from check in.. Staying, Food, Room, Lounging, Inside restaurants and Cafes, garden sitting area, Fariyas member every thing was excellent, We had an amazing quality mother - daughter time, Mom was happy and told I spent the money at right place so Yayy!! The Best :) :) Thank you, Fariyas.

The breakfast was good with multiple options to choose from. The dinner was also good and the Chef offered some dishes which were not part of the normal hotel menu which was very pleasing. The hotel offers water rides for the kids which kids enjoy a lot. Good view was available from one of the rooms out of two rooms booked.

The rooms were located quite far off from the lobby lift. There are other lift available near the rooms but we need to anyway walk down to lobby for availing any of the facilities in the hotel. This is not an issue in general unless you have an elderly accompanying or have someone with difficulty to walk. The room AC was observed to have minor water dripping in one of the rooms.

Its staff,the exceptional location and breathtaking views from the room balcony,the lovely and well maintained garden and the generous buffet breakfast and dinner.We owe a big thank you to Ms Anushka(Manager?)who kept close contact with our group to ensure all our wishes and expectations were being attended to by staff.Hats off also to Omcar who tireless took care of us at breakfast and dinner time.
