Cork International Hotel

Within walking distance of the airport, although free shuttle service also available if needed. Staff on reception and elsewhere exceedingly friendly and helpful. Room felt large and comfortable. Good selection of food at breakfast and chef available to cook fried / poached eggs and omelettes (with selection of ready-chopped fillings) to order. Restaurant with good menu if would like evening meal onsite. Can play table tennis or table football.

Some things remained a mystery, like we know there is a cinema room and that this could be booked but didn't know if there would be a charge for booking or what films would be available to watch. Would have soon found out the answers if had asked one of the very helpful people on reception though.

From the outside the building didn't look like much but there was such a grand entrance you immediately feel like you're being treated in luxury. The room was spacious and had all necessary amenities. We even did some plane spotting out of the window. The breakfast was plentiful and tasty and the staff helpful. Perfect location for the airport and just a short bus ride or taxi ride into the city.

An alarm went off in the middle of the night which wasn't great but can't be helped, I'm sure there was a reason for it. It's a shame there's no swimming pool as that would have been the cherry on the cake. Also a small thing, but we couldn't find a TV guide button so had to randomly scroll to find out what we were watching.

Everything. I emailed the reservations team prior to our stay as we were staying for our first wedding anniversary. I asked if they could do any small touches to make it special for my husband. To my surprise when we got to our room I realised we had a massive upgrade from a standard double room to a suite and there was no extra charge. It was amazing, there was rose petals on the bed, a lovely welcoming note and we even had some cake delivered to our room that said happy anniversary. The hotel went above and beyond to make our first wedding anniversary special, it made our day. Plus we went for a lovely three course meal in the restaurant that we couldn’t fault. The bed was extremely comfy, when it was time to check out we asked about late check out and we were also granted this free of charge for another 2 hours relaxation after a wonderful breakfast. Thank you to all the staff that made it special.

The Staff, Irish people are simply amazing. I wrote a personal request upon booking to surprise my 10 year old's birthday, someone replied saying it was being forwarded to the reception. I wrote in again just before the flight to make sure if its taken care of, no one replied. True enough, when we arrived, no birthday surprise for the kid which I was quite disappointed. We went down for a late dinner and I quickly pop over to the reception to ask about it, the receptionist was surprised the request wasn't being notified, but quickly get it sorted right away! Kid was so surprised by the tent filled with sweet treats when we went back to the room. Totally the highlight of her stay!

The restaurant service is rather slow. Food was amazing, but it always takes a looooong time till we get our food. I hope in future, special request upon booking could be handled better. Also, the room can be improved with cleaner cups and get rid of visible hair left from previous guests.

The hotel is very large, there is a children's playroom. The rooms are large and spacious. The room has everything you need, including a refrigerator. Very good dinner, there is a children's menu. The prices in the restaurant are good. The city is 20 minutes by bus, but buses do not go regularly, there are delays.

The refrigerator in the room was very loud. The first night I woke up and didn't understand the sound. The second night I turned it off and everything was fine. Also the first night there was a lot of noise, screaming and children running around in the hallway. My daughter could not sleep for a long time because of that. I was nervous, too.

Smartly appointed hotel. Just five minutes’ walk from the airport terminal. Plenty of parking and discounted parking rates if staying at the hotel, flying away and then returning to pick up the car (or in reverse, in our case). Large and extremely tasteful bedroom with luxurious bathrobes, towels, slippers and Paul Costelloe toiletries. Huge king bed with a superbly comfortable mattress. Although we booked on a room-only basis, we checked out early in the morning and were offered complimentary coffee, fruit and pastries, which was a nice touch. The members of staff were lovely. All in all, not a faceless airport hotel by any means and we would happily use again. The perfect place for a relaxing stay and we noticed no noise from aircraft.

Hot water in bathroom could have been hotter for the purpose of enjoying a soak in the bath after a long day travelling.

Hotel is very trendy and well maintained. Very nice foyer and reception area. Room was lovely, nice view, very clean and comfortable. We got a delicious breakfast next morning and the staff were all very friendly and welcoming. Room was huge, big bath and nice places to do work or to sit and watch the planes landing and taking off.

If I had to not pick there was decent bit of noise of kids running around in the corridors and in the stairwell. The doors and windows are not soundproofed so you can hear all the planes quite clearly which could be improved. And the doors slam quite hard. Tv was set to another persons name on arrival which was funny but should have been updated.

We loved our stay at the beautiful Cork International. All the staff were so friendly, chatty and professional and couldn't do enough for us. Comfortable beds, spacious rooms which were quiet, we didn't hear any of the other guests comings and goings. Breakfast was delicious, the bar staff were delightful. On the day we were leaving, we had a rather early flight, we went downstairs to find fresh pastries, orange juice, apples and fresh tea and coffee, this was a very welcome sight. Then the lovely Tim appeared and chauffeured us to the airport in the complimentary shuttle bus.

I liked everything!!!

The hotel is located just a 5 minute walk from the airport, straightforward even with luggage. The staff were helpful, both on the phone (before booking) and during the stay. The beds were fantastically comfortable, and the breakfast buffet was also extensive.

It's an odd point, but I found that the stairs between levels weren't very well marked, nor were the floor levels well indicated in the stairwells. This wasn't really a problem, the elevators were easy to find and convenient, but it stood out to me when I actually wanted to use the stairs.

it was exceedingly nice. It had everything we needed and more. the location couldn’t have been better since we got there from the airport and simply walked over since we didn’t have a rental car yet. we really wouldn’t have been able to stay anywhere else. our flight was delayed so we got there at 2:00 in the morning and the staff (actually the manager) handled our check in as if it were no inconvenience at all. she was over-the-top helpful and welcoming. We had a fantastic stay and deemed it worth the price even though we were there so few hours!

no complaints. I did wish breakfast was included, but we added it on and were not disappointed. it was our best breakfast of our ten day trip.
