Location was great, live music in the hotel all weekend for the jazz festival which we really enjoyed. Rooms were very clean.

Ordered room service online which didn't arrive. Had to call reception to place the order again and they only brought half the order. Parking is €12 per day - we expected this to be free.

The Room and swimming pool

We had to ask for additional towels, cups, glasses and teabags for our son, who they knew was also staying. They only gave us supplies for 2 people each day. There were only 2 lifts in this large hotel and on more than one occasion, one of these was out of order, which created lots of queues and waiting around, especially when people had their luggage to move around. The breakfast was the same every day. It could have had a variety like pancakes, or waffles etc. Only jam in large bowls, with nothing to put it in except your plate.

Fabulous large room with a view of the River, exceptional bathroom plenty of room as we were staying a number of nights. Location is fantastic a within walking distance to all the main streets for bars and restaurants. Great car park with you can entre the hotel directly Great fitness suite and pool/sauna facilities for guests Bar man (Jacob) was fantastic and provided glasses of milk for our daughter when she politely ordered them at the bar before bed

We had an issue on check in when we were told we did not book for the child with us (to do this online we were being charged for 2 rooms which we did not want) I had emailed the hotel at the time of booking to say we were travelling with a child (3yr old) and was advised room had capacity for 3 people and this would not be an issue. Made us feel a bit like we were trying to pull a fast one on the hotel receptionist by not paying for and additional person when that was not the case. It was clear when we got to the room there was a miscommunication internally, as the extra bed was already made up for the child, with towels, water etc there for 3 people.

Room. Very comfortable room, spacious & quiet as requested. Breakfast. Good selection & choice of food on both mornings. Restaurant.. Extremely busy on the Friday evening, staff were under enormous pressure & very disorganised we received wrong drinks x3times & wrong meals x2 as no one appeared to be serving allocated tables. Very noisy as glasses, plates etc were being dropped in the chaos. The following evening was a calmer experience!!!

Restaurant staff under such pressure made our dining experience very uncomfortable, food was acceptable, but would arrive with no cutlery, condiments ,no accompanying sauce. Breakfast staff were under the same pressure & doing their best but this is not conducive to a relaxing ,pleasant start to our day.

Clayton Hotel Cork City is in a great location in Cork city. Room was modern & very clean. Had tea/coffee making facilities as well as glasses & 3 sealed bottles of water. Staff are very friendly & helpful. Hotel also has an excellent leisure centre which contains a fully equipped gym, heated swimming pool, jacuzzi & sauna. Food is also very good in the hotel. Breakfast is highly recommended. Food served in the hotel’s restaurant & bar are very good as well. Parking is in an underground carpark (Leap Quay carpark) located just behind the hotel which we found very convenient. Overall, I highly recommend staying in the Clayton Hotel Cork City. Without hesitation I’d stay there again.

The hotel's location is perfect, just a few minutes' walk from the city center. The convenience of the car park is great, although it is on the expensive side. Additionally, the staff were extremely helpful during our stay.

We arrived early due to a wedding, but unfortunately, early check-in wasn't available. We had to get ready in the toilets. While the staff member was incredibly helpful, having the option for early check-in would have been greatly appreciated.

A roomy, spacious and comfortable hotel conveniently located in central Cork. The staff were friendly and helpful with any query. Our room was well appointed with plenty of outlets and USB charging ports, shelves and drawers. There was an iron and board, safe and refrigerator and coffee/tea maker which was replenished daily. The bathroom was also very roomy with plenty of counter/shelf space. Parking, not owned by the hotel, is under the building with elevator access to the lobby; cost in April 2023 was €12/day -validated by the hotel - without in/out privileges. Street-side access is limited and at times could be difficult to unload your baggage at curbside. But it is a two lane, one-way street and Irish drivers seem to be accepting of short-term blocking of one lane for good purpose. The breakfast buffet selection and quality was average; you could order from a menu. Just outside the front door is a very small sandwich shop with very good fare but limited inside seating. There are outside tables available. The location is within walking distance of most of the city attractions and a cornucopia of pubs and restaurants.

There was only two clothes hangers in the room. A disappointment for the price, but we always bring some of our own and we didn't make a request for more. We had difficulty adjusting the room temperature with the thermostat; more detailed instructions would have been helpful. Our room, second floor at the back of the hotel, overlooked a city shelter. Late one evening there was a disturbing commotion outside in the street that sounded like a protest. There was a crowd of perhaps twenty people. Apparently there was a disagreement over entry to the shelter. We were concerned as we didn't have any idea what was happening at the time.

The room was fantastic, ensuite impressive and comfort and cleanliness of room excellent. Also nice decor around the hotel and lovely spaces to sit and have a coffee. Staff were lovely. The centrality to Cork City is wonderful also. View over the river and of Cork City Hall is one of the features.

More attention to the temperature of the food at breakfast would be needed. The selection was wonderful, quality of the food good, but I can't understand cold plates and cold food. To be fair, staff arranged it to be heated when I asked, but it would be nice that attention to detail in this area could be standard. Some traffic noise, to be expected in city centre, but nothing that would disturb sleep.

Fantastic location. Amazed to have a balcony and view of the River Lee, totally unexpected and made our weekend extra special. Lovely sized room and would highly recommend.

Staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. Only one member of staff made us feel a little like we were inconveniencing them or being a pain and spoke to us a little like we were stupid but maybe we caught them on a bad day. Wouldn't stop us returning or recommending the hotel to others. The online food order option doesn't have the facility to add notes ref. allergies etc. so had to go to the bar to order. Not a huge issue but a little frustrating after a long day out so we had to have a Baileys while we waited for our order :-)

The location of the hotel is quite literally perfect as it is located right in the heart of the city centre, within walking distance to shopping, bars, and pretty much everything you would need to access in Cork. My room was clean, comfortable and spacious, with a nice view of the city. I loved that they had a triple room option with 3 separate single beds which was perfect for my needs and something I have not seen offered at other hotels I have stayed in! The staff was courteous and helpful throughout my stay and I really appreciated that they were able to accommodate my request to check in an hour early at no extra charge as well!

I had a difficult time with finding an adaptor for the electrical outlets that allowed my curling iron to work and unfortunately the adaptor provided still didn't work, but the staff tried their best to help me with the issue and I appreciate that!
