Springfield Hotel

The restaurant , reception and housekeeping staff were really hard working and very pleasant . A credit to the hotel.

The stairs carpet and lift carpet were really dirty and likely beyond cleaning as they look really old. The hotel is noisy as when people leave their rooms they are not soft closing and make a terrible racket when closing , which is ok for 1 or 2 , but when 10/15 leave at 8am it’s some dawn virus to wake up to. The whole area upstairs could do with a revamp but I appreciate that’s not as easy as it’s sounds due to costs.

Nice sized room with a balcony. Staff were very welcoming on arrival and were happy to assist with any questions that I had. The hotel also has a nice sized bar downstairs that has a nice friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Plenty of parking and a good location for catching public transport into Dublin city.

The rooms could do with some TLC in areas along with other parts of the hotel. The TV wouldn't allow for streaming and casting so you are limited to the usual TV channels (not a big issue). No other major issues!

Location is a key factor for our family get together. We have stayed here on two previous occasions for a Wedding reception and a 40th Birthday meal and enjoyed our stays on all occasions. A big shout out to Caroline in the breakfast restaurant for her warm and welcoming personality, she was very quick to resolve a small food issue that was very much appreciated. Also to the very experienced receptionist with great customer care qualities.

Neither myself or my husband are disabled but we were allocated a twin bed disabled room. we understand this was probably due to the hotel at full capacity due to a Wedding function. We would highly recommend the hotel look into the plumbing issues within this room. However, we were quickly relocated to a better room the following morning, our second night was a lot more comfortable.

Earlier check in from 1 or 2pm instead of 4pm would be better. Initially the price was good but didn’t include breakfast so had to add it on an when paying there was other extra cost, basically online it was €140 for a single person for 1 night looking for a double bed but ended up paying €183 in a triple room on my own which I thought was too much for 1 night

Amy at Reception on arrival was very nice and helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable, lovely balcony. Hotel was very clean despite the renovations going on, almost wouldn't notice. Room was great size, comfy bed and teat/coffee facilities. Very quiet at night time even with window open. Breakfast was very pleasing, continental or fresh from kitchen choices. Plenty to chose from even for the pickiest of eaters. Would definitely stay again.

The staff were all lovely from the moment we checked in. Breakfast was lovely and freshly cooked. It was nice to be able to order and not just a heated buffet for hot breakfast. The girls serving were fantastic too. The beds were very comfortable and we had a great sleep.

The room was lovely but the cleaners could do better. The bathroom needs more attention. There was hairs on the toilet and the shower walls and the shower glass and mirror were marked as though someone had just ran the same wet towel or rag over the lot and the floor needed a good hot mop. The windows could do with a clean too. When I pulled back the curtain to open the window they are very grimy. It's a shame because the rest of the room was lovely.

The room was great. This is only our third hotel stay with our baby, and the room was so spacious! It made our stay so much more comfortable and easier with room for the pushchair etc without tripping over things. The little living area was so great there was even enough room for our baby to have some floor time which was so great after a long day in the car.

Our only complaint was the noisy neighbour but this was of no fault of the hotel.

Friendly staff, answered all my questions (messages) in a short time. 24h reception. The room was nice, spacious and the bed very comfortable. No leaking or clogged sink/shower. I couldn't hear any noise from outside, or from other guests. Probably I'd book again, but not for more than 2 nights.

Slightly overpriced considering the location and that there's no direct bus from the airport. Dusty surfaces. The carpet could be better cleaned. One extra shelf or hanger would be useful in the bathroom.

property was well located and great value for money.

the room was extremely cold when we arrived and thought it was due to nobody been in it but when we returned from dinner it was even colder we asked the front desk could they sort something but we were told that the heating was on a timer and there was nothing they could do.

We travelled up to Dublin from Mayo to see Garth Brooks in concert at Croke Park. The hotel is located just outside Dublin and was perfectly located to use public transport to get to the event. There was ample parking - we got a taxi to Louisa Bridge and got the train to Drumcondra (which is the closest train station to Croke Park). The beds were extremely comfortable and the breakfast was lovely. All in all a great hotel and we will definitely stay there again.
