O'Shea's Hotel

We had a problem with the front door key when we came back to the hotel that night it was pouring rain and the key would not open the door I rang the bell knocked on the window and the door and no one answered we could see through the window there was no one in the reception at this stage we were very wet. we were outside the door for 15 minutes, I rang the hotel then and a man answered I told him the key didn’t fit the front door so he came down and let us in he checked the keys himself and said the 2 keys on the key ring were for our bedroom door.so if you stay in this hotel check your keys first before you go out .

Food was excellent. Staff very friendly & helpful

No shower in room, only a bath. Not easily accessible if you have mobility issues

Dog friendly 3 star hotel, it's old world, full of character. Like stepping back in time. Room itself was big really comfortable bed, warm and cosy. Tea/Coffee facilities and hairdryer provided. We stayed in the main hotel which is quaint, there is more modern rooms available if you prefer. The food and the welcome cannot be matched. Everyone so friendly, attentive and on coming back from a walk on the seafront (literally a stone's throw away), we went into the bar where dogs are allowed. There we had a delicious dinner, met local characters (dogs get people talking), had great craic and met people enjoying some time in Tramore. Our first fime to bring our dog away and while not permitted into the restaurant for breakfast, it was no problem for wonderful staff to bring our food into the bar and breakfast was fantastic, better than some that I've had in 5 star resorts. Staff are a credit to the hotel, so if you like a warm welcome, delicious food and don't mind that everything is not modern, if you enjoy character and are willing to try a 3 star hotel with a 5 star service, this hotel is for you.

No lift, while that didn't matter to us as only two flights of stairs to our room.

Super location, close to variety of dining and pubs. Carparking a short walk to behind the building. Short walk to the boardwalk along the beach. Good beach( judging by the number of people in the water) for surfing if thats your thing. Super helpful and friendly staff in the hotel and attached pub. Thankyou for making our stay a pleasant one.

Certainly not a deal breaker for us merely a note for prospective guests there is no lift so be prepared to walk yourself and your luggage up the stairs. However I'm sure assistance could be provided if needed.

The hotel was fine, a little out dated and it could do with some paint jobs on the outside but it was clean with nice friendly staff. Close to everything and fantastic for a short stay. 😁

The whole place could do with some modernisation and outside the front door the whole street is dug up and no sign of it being sorted.

location! reception and cleaning staff could not be any more helpful. food was absolutely beautiful! when haven breakfast the waitress was so thoughtful of my energetic 2 year old and was so kind.

when food staff thought we weren’t staff they where not as nice until they realised we where! for example when they thought we had just walked in they said we needed to go up to the counter and order our food then go the bar to order drinks and pay upfront but when a family came in that they new where hotel guests they did table orders for both food and drinks which I found a little insulting.

The Location was perfect for our visit. Check in from 2.30 & check out at 12 was big plus & Staff couldn't have done any more during our few days. Food was fantastic & no rushing for breakfast as it was available all day. Facility to leave car in the hotel car park for a few hours after check out was great.

It's hard to find fault with the hotel but maybe it should be advertised more that there is no lift in the premises.

Very expensive for a three star hotel

The fact it was so expensive for the type of hotel it is.

The staff couldn’t be friendlier or more accommodating. They do a great breakfast. Limited choices but what they do, they do very well. Evening food in the bar is excellent also. To be honest we choose here as prices were crazy Easter weekend and we were limited looking for a dog friendly hotel. O’Shea’s offered the best deal. As luck would have it we ended up here and we will certainly be back. It has everything you could want (minus a pool), close proximity to the beach and great walks and most importantly they treat your pets as well as they treat the human guests. We will be back! Thanks for a great weekend!

Didn’t realise we would be staying in a building separate to the hotel- it was no big deal at all, literally 30seconds from the hotel, just hadn’t realised until we got there. Not a negative, just something to note

The location is perfect as it was right at the beach with all the local amenities and parking, the staff were very polite and friendly, table service at breakfast and the breakfast itself was excellent. We had an amazing trip and would definitely go back again. The hotel is dog friendly which is a massive plus! We couldn't fault it.

Nothing. It's obviously not a high end hotel, and you are over a bar so can expect some noise while there and it is an older building. Some lights in the room weren't working but I'd imagine they just needed a change of bulb. Honestly no complaints whatsoever. The staff, pet friendliness and location just ticked every box. The beds were comfy too, each side of the bed had a single firm pillow and a soft pillow so you could adjust to your preference. We are honestly looking forward to our next trip!
