great location, lovely staff

room very hot, could do with air conditioning. couldn’t open window only about two inches.

Mary was excellent with directions to car park and check in recommending local amenities. I had requested a bedroom overlooking the front which was organised. The bedroom was lovely with four poster bed more of a suite really. The front of staff bar etc were great the back staff not so see other comments

It was very stuffy as the window could only open an inch. When our bedroom was tidied our sheet which we had dropped a soggy biscuit on and had made a nasty mess wasn’t changed just straightened which was a shame. It was late when we noticed so decided not to complain. The breakfast was only ok orange could be improved. Tables not cleaned just a flick over so food on chairs and floor. And the food was over cooked possibly reheated.

This incredibly charming hotel has a lot to like, and I wish we could have stayed more than one night: The walkable location in beautiful Dungarvan; easy, free parking in back; throwback small lobby gathering spaces with cozy fireplaces; included friendly breakfast service in a nifty dining area; the cool bar hangout space that we didn't even have time to use; the reasonably priced rooms; the really nicely remodeled bathrooms with towel warmers; and honestly, the older furniture in the rooms. This hotel would be ruined if the furniture were modern (but it's awesome that the bathrooms ARE modern).

While I liked that the furniture in the rooms and throughout the hotel wasn't replaced with boring modern stuff, I would advocate for replacing mattresses and pillows. My mattress had that rather thin, creaky feeling. I would have preferred something solid and cushioned for a better night's sleep. And the pillows were quite flat. I mean, I WOULD STILL STAY HERE because this hotel is so cool that it's worth dealing with "meh" mattresses and pillows, but I think the Lawlors should consider upgrading those two things like they have the wonderful bathrooms!

The staff were friendly and helpful , the location is perfect , the rooms were clean

The hotel is a little tired looking could do with some tlc the food in the bar was good with a fair selection breakfast could have been better, a small selection and variety of cereals fruit etc cooked breakfast could have been better Staff seemed a bit worn down for the price we payed we expected a bit more

The bed was very comfortable, the hotel location was superb as we were right in the middle of Dungarvan. The breakfast was delicious and the staff were incredibly friendly which is always a bonus. Overall a superb room with a great location.

A small caveat was that the room was extremely warm despite not having the radiator on at all. Great for a winter stay, but we had a very warm weekend when we stayed so it was a little uncomfortable but nothing that took away too much from the stay.

Not a lot check in staff could have been a bit more cheerful. Bar staff were the best ladies you made our day. Nothing else to comment on .

Needs updating and a good clean ladies toilets was very dark to get to. Breakfast was not very appealing had send pot of coffee back stone cold and only a few grains of coffee in pot, no serving spoons with cereals I don't think I would recommend this hotel to my family or friends 😕

Location and staff were helpful

Got a glass with my drink. It was very dirty . Looked for another one . And the same. Then gave my partner a warm glass with ice in it . For his drink. Also I asked for a small plate of chips for my 6 year old . Charged me 5 euros. But yet on the menu out side the door was a different price. At breakfast the table was set. But no milk on the table. A soup spoon to eat cereals with. My partner looked for scrambled egg and toast. And the bread was soggy. Which it was done in the microwave.

The breakfast was excellent and the staff very attentive the meal was served very quickly and a preference for tea or coffee or other was enquired by staff within a minute of taking our table

The sanitary ware in the bathroom could have been checked to ensure that it functioned correctly and an explanation on how to work the shower controls would have been useful

The hotel is really well located, great check in and very helpful staff. The food was lovely and the pints of Guinness were great. The room was perfect for a solo traveller, if a little on the expensive side. The staff were very accommodating with an early breakfast on the go.

There were a lot of flies in the bar area when trying to eat food. But the food was delicious!

Wow. I was really impressed with Lawlors. The staff are so friendly and accomodating, each and every one. Our room had a new bathroom with very powerful hot shower. Exactly what was needed after a big day cycling. The room was spotlessly clean. The food at dinner was top quality. I loved the prawn Thai red curry. Our waiter was very accommodating (sorry I can’t recall his name) and Natasha in the bar was very welcoming. The breakfast menu had loads of choice and again the food was fabulous. Beanie made us feel very welcome. I will definitely stay here again. I can’t believe the standard of quality here is only rated three star. It can match some four star hotels I’ve stayed at.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. The bedroom is a little dated but can’t complain for a three star. The room was spotless and the bathroom was brand new.
