It was perfect for me, only 6 mins from the venue, the tent was very big with full size bed, the sides of the tent have small vertical walls that give you extra height at the edge,the toilet and shower facilities is very close and looks new, already thinking about booking for next year competition

It wasn't a problem for me because I had my car parked outside the tent, the only thing that would of improved my stay would be if there was a way to charge phones or laptops in the tent,im sure you could charge them in the house, apart from that a perfect stay, I'll be back next year 🙂

It was a last minute booking and was the best decision we could have possibly have made at the time. We were driving from Dublin in the rain and arrived at Ferry House absolutely wrecked. Liz met us with such warmth and kindness that we didn't expect: the room was extremely clean ( a lot of hotels could not compete with it), teas, coffees were provided and she even turn on the sauna for us so we could relax and warm up. The place itself is like magic: small cottages, massive old trees, swings, tents and even ponies! Perfect atmosphere to do some art, sit down with the family and soak up the countryside sweetness to rejuvenate. Also, in the room we found a book with a family story, the history of the place and good spots for dinner. Another important thing- it's really quiet so we were sleeping as logs. With great gratitude to the family, their story and hospitality.

All was amazing

It was clean, friendly, plenty of space for the kids, host was very helpful. It was only 4 min drive to New Ross, good spot to drive onto many places to visit. Showers & toilets were spotless.

The ONLY thing was the noise of the traffic (coming from a house in the countryside we’re just not used to traffic noise) & the blasting after 8.30am… but again this was only a bother because we were waiting for the rain to pass so we could go out and do our activities… next time I’ll bring earplugs for the traffic noise, it wouldn’t stop me from returning.

Lisa was an excellent host who was very accomadating to our group of cyclists. The accomadation was most importantly very clean. The location was excellent and its about 500meters walking distance to a gastro pub called Mannions which serves excellent food. Great end point for anyone cycling the Barrow Way but watch out for some extreme hills out of St. Mullins. A great place to stay and we will definitley be back, maybe even for some glamping. A cracking host family and the continental breakfast was a treat. Thanks again for your hospitality.

A TV might be a good upgrade for this property on rainy days but the WiFi was great.

The property is located on a country residence with fields, horses, and trees surrounding it - a beautiful country setting. Lisa, the host, and her lovely family were very welcoming and friendly. They immediately made us feel at home. Mannion’s Pub and fruit market is just a short walk down the road. New Ross town is just a short drive away.

Keeping electronic devices charged was a bit of a challenge. A small charging station of some sort would be very convenient.

We were welcomed with warm smiles to the Ferryhouse. The location was spectacular. We were easily able to drive to many locations located near by. Walking to dinner was easy as well. Each morning we had a beautiful breakfast left by our tent (we were glampers.) Any questions we asked about nearby areas were quickly answered. We felt right at home!

Maybe some more hooks for belongings in the bathroom showers.

Lovely, spacious house, well equipped and located in a quiet area. Great for families as it has 2 bathrooms and plenty of beds to choose from. Swings, slides and a trampoline in the garden to entertain kids. Short drive to New Ross which has many amenities.

It was a little cold when we arrived but once we figured out how to get the heating going, it heated up quickly. It also doesn’t have a TV. Not necessarily needed of course, but may come as a surprise to some.

We spent a lovely night in the Ferry House - the highlight for my daughter was the ponies which she was allowed to feed apples to. The hosts couldn't have been more friendly and gave good advice about a fab local gastropub for our evening meal. Also, my daughter left behind her comforter and the hosts were so good to send it back up to us without any bother. We'd love to come back and spend more time at the Ferry House!

Nothing, everything was perfect!

Loved that there was outdoor seating and slide/swings for the kids. John was very helpful and even left a booklet of places of interest etc in the area. Would advise to bring board games or books with you. The chalet itself was in really good condition and we would love to stay here again. Was very comfortable and clean. 2 showers were available with a bathroom in each which was helpful. This facility struck me as a place to go to meet for a quiet catch up to meet with friends. Mannion pub is only a short distance away, but a bit dangerous to walk to and seems to be up hill so make sure your thirsty for more than one pint! New ross is a 5 minute drive away with the likes of tesco Express and a swimming pool for the kids. There was the play barn there also. We would definitely stay again!

We didnt like that there was no tv or the open plan of the chalet. We had 2 small babies with us so one kept waking the other as they are not used to sleeping in the same room together. Would be perfect for older kids or adults though. This was our own fault though!

The property was really gorgeous. The welcome was very kind and hospitable. The set-up was exactly as described with impeccably furnished tents, super clean bathroom facilities and a lovely breakfast. It is definitely one to recommend.

It is perhaps nearer a main road than we realised, but that also makes the distance to the local pub very walkable!
