Restaurants not cater for kids Can be left waiting in reception sometimes

Breakfast was poor. First morning we both ordered fish to be told that there was only one portion available. This was 9 a.m. On the second morning the scrambled egg was poorly made and was cold so it was sent back. The cheese offered for breakfast was very very poor, with the exception of the blue cheese on sunday morning. Dinner in the Strawberry Tree was a wonderful experience but the Halibut was so disappointing, dry and not not nice. We felt very uncomfortable with the pressure by reception lady to book breakfast for a specific time. Clearly this was unnecessary as the dining room had many free tables when we arrived. I write my experience for your benefit and not as a complaint. This was my second time staying with you and the I guess a little disappointed to see the slip back

The property is beautiful - the backyard has more of a country-garden feel. The restaurants have wonderful garden-to-table organic food and it’s fabulous! Breakfast is included - just make sure to get your reservations early because the restaurants fill up. The front desk can help you with just about anything - they’re lovely! The pools are beautiful and the spa massage I had was one of the best. Also make sure to go see Catherine at Shekina Sculpture Garden not too far away - Catherine is a gem (an encourager of noticing beauty in her garden and in life).

3rd time doing a short break at Brooklodge for self care (I'm a front line worker) and always blown away by the service and attention to detail. I've had 2 Spa treatments and both Marsha and Eileen were skilled and knowledgeable therapists

Only a couple of small things but in the suite it would be good if there were standard 3 pronged sockets on the upper floor. Also I had advised via booking.com of an earlier arrival but it wasn't received so I suggest ringing ahead

It was so beautiful! The staff were incredibly friendly, except for one woman but I didn’t get a name but we just like to think she was having a bad day 🥲 I didn’t get names of the staff but the woman at reception, long blondish hair was so so helpful and friendly! And the blonde woman who was at the breakfast everyday was so kind to us about our vegan meals, and the young girl with dark hair at breakfast too!! So so friendly, you’ve got amazing staff! The lounge area was so relaxing, our favourite place to be was the geo thermal pool though, for some reason nobody used it whenever we were there so it felt like our own private pool😂 it was so relaxing and so clean! We went to the spa one of the days and the atmosphere of it was so lovely, staff were so friendly and the hot tub was so nice!! We stayed here for our 5 year anniversary and it was really special, we would say hello to the chickens every morning and they were so curious and cute!! The church was so beautiful as well!

The only thing I would say about it is there weren’t many vegan options, we thought there might be more due to the hotel being very organic and sustainable but it wasn’t a big deal, there were vegan options in the Italian restaurant and we just ordered food from Arklow whenever we were hungry!

Restaurants excellent, location quiet and tranquil

An issue with the same receptionist at check-in and check-out. At check-in, she did not bother following up on a specific request I had emailed to reservations. On checkout I queried an incorrect charge for a second bottle of wine at dinner. Although she rectified the mistake, she did not apologise, make small talk, ask how was our stay, was thoroughly unfriendly and a very poor representative for such an important customer interaction, a customer training course would be very beneficial. First and last impression of the hotel was not good, although everything in between was fine.

The pool was cold We were in a separate building to the main hotel so that wasn't ideal as it was raining so we got drenched going for breakfast and the leisure centre The breakfast was lovely but the fry was under cooked we went for continental the second morning as a result but that was lovely and the choice was great

Well its easier to say what we didnt like! An amazing place. Restaurants, rooms, scenery, golf course, just amazing. So glad i chose this for our last two nights in Ireland.

The only thing was that you had to have a time slot to use the lovely swiming pool and jacuzzi. I can only assume its a result of the now past lockdown. Seemed a little ridiculous as at most there were 4 of us in there.

Nice place for a short escape, room very clean, bed wasn’t really comfortable, bathroom had all the toiletries, the little garden outside our room was nice with a good view to the golf course. The spa was really good, nice sauda, steam room and the hot-tub was just amazing! Breakfast was good, but the Straberry Tree restaurant was fantastic, I highly recommend this restaurant, organic ingredients and a mix of flavours that will blow your mind. Staff very polite and helpful.

The bed, I think the base was broken, but was to soft and uncomfortable for sleep, the noise of the bed even when I turned from one side to the other. Apart of that everything was perfect.

I love Brooklodge. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Food was fantastic but I have to say the place looks a bit shabby. Definately in need of some tlc. I'm sure covid had something to do with that. However, I do think the overall cleanliness of the hotel has slipped. Someone needs to step up to the mark and take ownership of this task. I had a treatment in the spa and I couldnt speak highly enough of both the receptionist and my therapist. Very professional
