Meadowside B&B

The full Irish breakfast was amazing. We let Phil know eachnight when we would be coming in for breakfast the next day. Multiple selection for beverages included: coffee, tea, juice, water. The piping hot breakfast was more than enough to send us out each day for hiking. Phil is an amazing hostess. Gave us infor on what to do and where to go. The outside gardens were so welcoming at the end of the day to relax and talk about our day. The location is centrally located in the heart of Bunclody with shops, restaurants, pubs in easy walking distance. The room was beautifully decorated and welcoming. The price is fabulous. I would definitely return to this property

We did have some issues with the WIFI and the front door key, but nothing to take away from our rating

Breakfast was excellent & Phil was so lovely & welcoming. The house was very clean & within very close walking distance to a few shops, eateries & pub. We only spent one night as it was a stopover during a very long drive we were undertaking.

Meadowside is situated right on the corner of a very busy road although it does have a drive on the side of the house & parking behind. We had a lovely big bedroom but it was situated in the front of the house directly by the road, there is a small frontage to the house but we could still hear the traffic until quite late into the night which was slightly disappointing.

Phil was an amazing host who made us feel very welcome from the first minute we walked in the door. Our room was very large for two people and was updated. The beds were very comfortable and it was nice to have an extra chair and desk in the room as well. Phil was able to give me information about laundry options. I decided to go to the launderette right in town. They charged me 20 euro for one load but when I dropped it off at about 5:30 pm they had it for me the next morning and even left a couple items out to dry that I didn't want to go through the dryer. I would highly recommend staying here if you are in the area. We stayed here to visit friends in the area but really enjoyed the Huntington Castle. We toured the grounds and were lucky to also be able to work the tour (inside the castle) into our day as well.

Meadowside B&B is the quintessential of a B&B. Very cosy, clean and nicely decorated. Tea/coffee making facilities with biscuites and chocolate to enjoy. Even a crystal chandelier to light up the room! We were given a warm and friendly welcome buy the host. The beds were very nice and comfy and gave us a good nights sleep. The breakfast was served in traditional manner with all you expect from a full irish breakfast - delicious. The house is located close to the village road, but we had a room towards the back yard and it was very quite. Safe parking space in the back yard, and the WiFi work well. Highly recommended

A classic Bed and breakfast, a taste of old Ireland, with a friendly helpful proprietor. Phil made a fabulous breakfast each morning to order for each person. She made sure we had everything we needed in the rooms and would clean each day if we wanted it and reset the room to perfection. The property is perfectly located for country drives to a castle, holy well, ancient Dolman, seeing thatch houses and pastoral views!

I have no complaints about this property it is gorgeous, has an incredible view of the river valley below, with a patio behind in a lovely wild garden with a highly scented rose.

An arrival we were amazed with the location. Phil was the perfect host and brought us up to an amazing ensuite room (Room 5) which had two single and one double bed looking out onto the garden area. The breakfast area was airy and clean with lots of old Irish charm. Everything as available from a continental breakfast to a full Irish breakfast and the quality was spot on. Couldn't fault the location or atmosphere.

Phil was a wonderful host. We requested an early check-in and she was very accommodating to arrange this for us. The room was so clean and beautifully decorated. The b&b also provided onsite parking which is always a bonus when you’re not familiar with the parking in a new town.

Unfortunately there was a lot of noise coming from the room above ours which spoiled our lie in but apart from that, everything was lovely!

Phil is a fantastic host and everything was pretty much perfect - the room was very comfortable and decorated in a very lovely way with clearly a lot of care. This is probably one of the nicest BnBs one could possibly stay in while visiting Ireland! I also needed to have a package delivered - and it was late - and had to go back to Bunclody a week after I checked out and through it all, Phil was great, which was much appreciated. I also have to avoid gluten and it was no problem for Phil to make me eggs and bacon for breakfast - another big positive. Thanks, Phil!

We had a lovely time. 10/10. Lovely room, lovely breakfast - Phil is amazing at looking after everyone. It is in a great location as Gorey and indeed Courtown is near by. The house is really lovely and the back garden is really fab. There is parking. Everything we wanted was nearby. The shops are up the road. We had a lunch in the Golf and Fishing Club which was lovely. Well worth a visit and there is lovely coffee shops in Bunclody. It is a lovely place . If you want a relaxing holiday and even a walk up the town is great.

We liked everything.

The property was beautiful and Phil the owner was lovely. She went out of her way to make our stay comfortable and she helped coordinate transport for us and our belongings at the start of our Wicklow Way hike. We wished we could have stayed longer but we were off on our northbound hike back to Dublin after only one night at Meadowside. Would ABSOLUTELY stay here again. Highly recommend!
