Hotel Villa Romeo

It's close to everything the train station and coach station less than five minutes the hotel very good the breakfast everything you want for 5€ good value.so we just went to Sicily no plans arrived at the hotel and Francesco was on reception asked if we had any plans follow his itinerary made the trip very memorable many thanks Francesco you made are holiday

There nothing to dislike no bars in the area so had to go to the main center 15 minutes on foot but worth the effort lots food choices.So getting a taxi back just showed hotel key card that works but if you taxi to the center just say elephant because there's a statue of an elephant in the square that works well

Check-in and check-out were smooth, and the staff at the front desk was very friendly any time we came or went from the hotel. Our train wasn't until later on the day of our check-out, and we had no problems leaving our bags there for the day after check-out.

Hotel was a little bit dated in the overall decor, and dark in the hallways. The location is very close to the main train station (so convenient for access to that), but it's in a bit more of a run down part of town that's pretty dark and not very populated at night (very few restaurants nearby). It's ~15-20 minute walk away from the main center of Catania where you will likely be going for any sights / dining / nightlife.

Fantastic location - near to train and bus station and walking distance into the centre of the city. Large, airy room, with balcony overlooking the sea (and railway line) - old fashioned furnishings in the room but everything spotless, including the bathroom. The public areas are wonderful - you feel as though you are in an opera house! A bonus is the lovely open courtyard off the breakfast room. A great breakfast, served by a lovely waitress who was extremely helpful. The reception staff were excellent too - offering good advice on transport and also recommending a fantastic restaurant just around the corner from the hotel - very convenient. Great value for money and just what we needed for our short stay.

Excellent value for money. Rather extended breakfast (for Italian standards). Nice breakfast location in an inner courtyard, including plants with flowers. Decent room and bathroom. Location is very close to main station, i.e. convenient if one travels by train or coach.

The street where the hotel is located looks a bit shabby - but inside this is not the case! The parts of the city that probably are of most interest for tourists (historic center), are not so close, i.e. not within walking distance for my taste. I.e. one needs some type of transportation to get there.

lovely quiet terrace outside room good wifi breakfast at the bar, although a bit of a walk was surprisingly good, my ham and cheese pastry delicious! Garage parking if you want. Easy drive to the airport very kind staff who even provided us with a kettle.

Position perhaps not the best for walking and a little too far from the centre of the city. Decor was dated!

breakfast out of the hotel @ a real local & superb coffee shop. the patio and deco were very nice.

The hotel is located close to the Catania station and therefore a convenient basis for trips to Syracuse and Taormina. The rooms and public areas are decorated in an interesting theatrical style. Especially noteworthy are the patios with an abundance of plants and the sun terrace with sun chairs. Breakfast was varied, with hot and cold options, yoghurt, fruit, and cake.

I didn't see any restaurants or shops nearby. It would have been nice if the hotel had a bar. There was a self-service soft drink machine though.

It was quiet and very convenient for the train and bus station. My room opened onto a lovely patio. Breakfast was good and it was possible to sit inside or outside in a lovely area with lots of flowers. The staff, particularly Francesco, were helpful and informative and managed to book me another tour when mine was cancelled.

The decor in the room was a little dated with sheets and a blanket instead of a duvet.

Room was well designed & very spacious, great AC & very comfortable. The staff, especially Franseco & Alessandro, were fantastic, helpful (understanding) and informative. Breakfast was good for continental, even had egg choices & lovely fresh fruit which was great. The lovely well kept courtyard to eat outside was wonderful.

Very little deserving of adding to this review. However, if I was to be picky maybe a note to inform people they may need a plug adapter as only 2-pin in room. More savoury items at breakfast would have been nice (croissants were covered in sugar & lots of cake). Maybe freshen up the foyer & carpets on the stairs.

I liked the corridors and the outside pation area very much, also the breakfast was amazing, there were a big variety of chooses, also the staff was pretty okay i guess they gave me very mixed feelings so i can't say for sure, but they did their job helped me and answered all my questions so that's the most important, also the location is amazing its only 10 min away from via etna a main road with the view towards the mountain. Overall a nice place to stay. i would come back again to them:)

Didn't liked the bathroom it's pretty old, and the shower head with the mercedes sign just kiled me😂😂😂 although it's okay for a shower and it was clean.
