Rigel Hotel

Danilo at the reception was perfect! Very friendly, helpful and hard working, gives you a nice smile all the time! Our room was very nice and comfortable. Breakfast variety is very good if you compare it to breakfast you can get anwhere else in Italy. Catania train and bus station very close to the hotel, literally max. 5 minutes walking.

Rooms facing the street get quite noisy, as the main street is very busy 24/7. Air condition gets sometimes a bit loud. Breakfast could start at 7 in the morning, as sometimes you need to set off for the whole day trip, or to the airport quite early.

Hotel is locates at great position, 10 minutes walking from centre. Staff is wonderfull, they helped us a lot with every questions and pointed us what to visit. Specially young guy who can be found everywhere, at reception when you need him, at breakfast, everywhere. We had feeling we are part of family how they behaved. Rooms are clean, beds are comfy, we liked it so much that we asked to stay one more day. If you are seeking for hotel in Catania, you found it.

The staff were very friendly, especially Danilo, who was such a kind host, always smiling and happy. He gave us a lot of advice on where to go and what to do, and was real help to us. We rented a car and were able to park just in front of the hotel each night when we got back. Even though the rooms are basic, they have everything you need if you are only going to be spending your nights in the hotel, which was what we needed.

Lovely small hotel. Comfortable, clean, good location for train/bus, friendly helpful staff. No issue with holding on to our bags after check-out till we were leaving the city. Normal 'Italian' breakfast of pastries and also fruit and yoghurt and hard boiled eggs - which we were surprised to see eaten as you would a piece of fruit (shelled of course!). No hesitation in recommending this hotel.

Effective A/C 24h reception Entry doors are locked and you need to be let in by staff - great for security During our last breakfast, the owner came and gave everyone a few figs from his own garden - such a sweet gesture! Hotel staff was very pleasant and helpful in every way

We were missing a couple of amenities in the room - glasses for water, bottle opener,..

The hotel offered a great selection for breakfast in the morning and the location made it easy to get around to explore the city and surrounding area. Very clean rooms. The manager was exceptionally helpful in making our stay enjoyable and it was great having access to an elevator.

Staff very pleasant and it is a small hotel, suited for the transient city stop over type traveller.

Location is as expected, more industrial and 20 mins walk to the main centre where there are bars and restaurants. There is a coffee shop underneath the hotel but very basic.

Lovely place, very close to Catania train station so super convenient. I travel very frequently to Catania and this little pleasant hotel will now become my home from home. Lovely staff, great location, friendly, pleasant and with nice views too. Thank you Rigel Hotel!

We liked the distance of the hotel to the train/bus station. The staff in the hotel were very helpful and very attentive of their guests. We enjoyed the breakfast with a variety of choices. Will recommend this hotel..
