Hotel Luxor Florence

Everything. STAFF Betta and her staff (many of whom are family) are amazing. Professional, accommodating, and engaging with us and our questions and requests. If we needed help finding something, they helped us find it. If we needed to leave our luggage even after checkout, they held it for us without charge for us. We got in late the first night, and they were there and willing to work with us. They had even upgraded our room for free in light of the number of people there and how long we were staying. I watched and saw her offer the same support to all other patrons. Betta and I spoke Italian, English, Romanian, and French together and I know she also spoke Spanish with other hotel patrons. Betta and her family members and my daughter and I became great friends, and we will definitely return whenever in Florence. LOCATION The hotel was five minutes walk from the train station; close enough to make it easy for travelers with luggage, but also removed enough from noise and traffic (thought continued in next segment). ROOMS We could see the tracks from our room and vaguely heard some night trains, but the soundproofing was so good that it did not disturb our sleep. The room was nice and clean and with all necessary amenities. BREAKFAST AND OTHER AMENITIES The stairs have a means to accommodate wheelchairs and those needing assistance up them. The breakfast was excellent. Betta and her staff waited on us in light of COVID restrictions. Each evening she had us select what we were interested in eating the next day and when so that it could be ready and prepared the next day, but also allow social distancing, etc.

Nothing. Betta and her staff were accommodating in every reasonable way.

Staff was very kind and helpful, room was clean, awesome balcony, loved having a refrigerator and microwave and the air conditioning was a huge bonus. Wonderful location next to train station and all of the sights were within a 20 minute walking distance. We felt very safe and secure with the area.

Room and hallway wasn't very soundproof so outside sounds could get loud at times, but honestly that wasn’t really an issue for us at all.

Luxor Florence provided an excellent breakfast, with a variety of tasty options, from foods to beverages. We would say there is something for everyone to enjoy a healthy breakfast with fruits, juices, hot beverages, yogurts, croissants, berries, eggs, to name a few of the choices.

There were no disappointments with Luxor Florence. On the contrary, the service from our arrival to departure was exceptional. Elizabeth and staff were very helpful and pleasant with our requests. We would absolutely return to Luxor Florence.

Elizabeth welcomed us and made us feel very important from the minute we set our foot in. Another member of staff , a young lady gave us great ideas about restaurant and places to visit.

Very comfortable but it was pretty cold the first night and the air con couldn’t be set on high temperature as it was pre set to summer . The temperature dropped to 4*C that night . We asked for extra blankets the next day.

All the 4 staff whom we met were very helpful and friendly and could chat with us to make us feel welcomed; was fortunate to arrive on a public holiday hence parking was free most of the times within the blue lines; Train station and tram stop were nearby

Location was rather secluded, rather quiet area almost felt like and abandoned area, however it could be due to public holidays, hair dryer doesnt work for more than 30 seconds. Breakfast menu was very basic.

we are a mixed couple, I am an Italian / Moroccan girl and he is English / Pakistani and his dream has always been to see Italy, what about we spent the best weekend of Valentine's Day, everything was perfect from the hotel to few meters from the train station and Elizabeth simply unique! the herbal tea you prepared for me was miraculous and delicious, everything perfect from the room to the hotel service to breakfast with the real and delicious Italian coffee! thank you for giving my boyfriend a great impression of Italy and above all for letting him taste real coffee, other than Starbucks !!!

The location was easily accessible from the train station, even with luggage. (approx. 8-min. walk). It also was close to squares, cafes, restaurants and a Carre Four! AND, the 24/7 offer of free, strong coffee was definitely a surprise bonus! Very good coffee, better than anything you can get in U.S. and some cafes in Italy!

The service was 5 star. The staff were fabulous. They could not do enough for us. They helped us with everything we wished or needed. Breakfast was excellent. The 24 hour reception service gave us reassurance especially during this time. It is unusual for a 3 star hotel to have 24 hr reception service. Nice touch on new year's eve when we found a bottle of proseddo in our room to help us celebrate. I recommend this hotel without any reservation. Will be back for sure.

Nothing to dislike.

The friendliness of the staff is exceptional, room was clean, breakfast was a la carte-ish (you have to order everything the day before, but the variety is quite good), coffee is perfect and strong. It was really a bargain.... When we left the hotel, the hotel manager gave us free cold bottled water for our trip, because it was a really hot day.. what else can you say about great hospitality...?

The hotel is located near the rail tracks (rooms have excellent sound proofing though!!) and it is a bit far from the Duomo (15-20 minutes depending your walking speed) - and you have to cross the square in front of the Railway Station (which has a quite interesting type of crowd during day and night) or you have to go underway the railtracks and that route is usually deserted even during daytime...

The staff at the Hotel are very friendly, helpful and amazing

The rooms is very close and this an issue for the noisy, also the Air Condition not comfortable.
