Hotel Arcadia

I loved how I could open the windows. The weather was great, and at night, it was quite enough to keep the windows open all night. Unfortunately, I got mosquito bites on my face ☹️ For Italy, the beds were comfortable. Also, for Italy, the breakfast was good. The Cornetti were very fresh and yummy 😋 The staff was very nice as well.

So I have traveled all over Italy for the last 2 years and Italian hotels are not good in general, with that said in comparison to other Italian hotels, this hotel is great! I plan to book here again when I visit Florence- my favorite Italian city 🥰

We stayed in a three beds room for 1 night. The room was very spacious. There was more than enough place to lay out all our luggage and dry our umbrellas. I like the reading desk setup. With a power outlet close the reading desk, we can leave all our electronic devices on the desk and charge them easily. Front desk person was super friendly, gave us a quick explanation of the city and a map. Breakfast buffet was awesome with lots of varieties. Their coffee machine has a "latte" option, ie hot milk, which I enjoyed so much. Close to train station too. Walkable distance to all tourist spots.

The served a pretty normal continental breakfast. This would include pastries, boiled eggs and coffee. The location allows you to walk to the tourist locations in Florence. Very close to the train station which connects you to Rome or Florence. The rooms were comfortable to sleep in.

If you have lots of luggage, you will need to go up a flight of stairs before being able to use the elevator that takes you to the hotel. The location also feels empty when you are walking back from the city. No tourists walking around. The train station steps fill with many young locals who are drinking or doing drugs. Not the hotels' fault, but something to take into consideration if you are planning on staying out late and then walking back to the hotel.

This is a little gem. We were not expecting much, it was a last minute change in accommodations, but the hotel far exceeded out expectations. The staff went above and beyond, they were extremely friendly and helpful and kind. The room was comfortable and the view from the balcony was just an added bonus. We wish we had known about it sooner. Everything was in walking distance, the shower was roomy and the water pressure was amazing The wifi was excellent. The breakfast was very good, typical continental breakfast, but we enjoyed it both mornings. The breakfast room was nice and had windows on all sides, so a nice view with breakfast. I would definitely stay here again.

Convenient to walk to the Santa Maria Novella train station & the City Center of Florence where all the main attractions are. Breakfasts were included which was nice. Room was spacious.

No long mirror & lack of hangers. The second night after a day outing, we returned to the hotel & had a bad surprise - our room door was wide open! I reported to the night reception who said he will review the camera & let us know what happened. But we never got any reply. Luckily, nothing was stolen!

5 minutes walk from the railway station, easy to locate, secure entrance. Our room was large and we think set for wheelchair access. More than enough space for clothes. Blinds to control the heat, alongside strong air conditioning. We had a small balcony but didn't use it. Breakfast selection was good and items replaced quickly. Staff were pleasant and helpful.

Our room was next to reception so a little noisy when other guests checked in. Sadly the fridge was on but did not keep anything cold even after staff tried to improve it. Orange juice at breakfast did not taste like fresh orange as one glass was fine, the next like flavoured water. The button for the keypad is a few metres before the security gate which made our first return to the hotel interesting and should e explained when you book in.

This is a perfect spot to settle when visiting Florence - a short walk to the main train station and there's a T2 tram stop right in front of the hotel. The room is well equiped, very good sound isolation, there's fast wi-fi available for free, the bathroom is big and pristine clean and the breakfast is very good for italian standarts. The staff is very frendly and made everything to help me (I don't speak Italian)... I only stayed for one night, but arrived early in the mornig and they kept my suitcase until the room was available and then the next day after check out allowing me to explore the city - they gave me a map and explained in detail what I could see in such a short visit... I will definetly return!

The bed could be a bit larger (even for a single bedroom) and the matress wasn't the most confortable in the world, but that doesn't mean that I slept bad, I'm just saying that everything else in the Hoterl was simply excelent, more than I was expecting for the price, I would rate Arcadia 4 stars instead of 3, but the bed was only good, not excelent

Location excellent (close to the center), rooms very clean and spacious, staff very helpful and friendly. It is absolutely worth the money. They also spent a lot of time giving us suggestions to what to visit in Florence and in the nearby towns. The railway station and tram station are just outside the hotel. You can go everywhere very easily.

Everything was fine with us.

The staff was super nice and very helpful. They were able to speak English perfectly they even gave us a map and explained some of the sites and how to get there. The espresso machine was down but he explained to us and helped us with the breakfast spread.

Getting into the building was a little confusing. Coming from America where you don't need a code for the building was a bit confusing for us. We called the desk and they helped us understand what we needed to do. The beds were a little stiff for us not to sure if it's a normal thing in Italy to have a hard bed. The pillows were a little thin. But im Probably being to picky.

For the money it was great . It was closed to downtown and easy to get to from a hard days work of site seeing. Parking was a breeze because the garage around the corner took care of us and took off five dollars just by saying we were staying at the hotel.

The only thing I didn’t like was the entrance but the front desk guy saved the day buzzing us in every time.
