great location great accommodation and very friendly professional staff made our stay first class BUT breakfast was a joke for such a highly rated boutique hotel.

breakfast ….. a voucher for a local cafe… we turned up sand stood in line with loads of school students …..we were told what we could not have and what we could …. no tray to carry our simple breakfast and drinks to a table that had just been vacated by some students heading off to lessons. We waited for the table to be cleared and cleaned…. never happened…. it was such a disappointment and such a negative on the accommodation … not a great start to our special vacation to celebrate with our daughter and husband.

Firstly, I would like to really praise the hotel staff. We arrived earlier than expected and they were fantastic at accommodating us by giving us a list of local lovely restaurants and then storing our bags for us and then having our room ready for when we came back after lunch. We can't thank them enough. The location is very good for getting around Pisa, close enough to the airport and to the centre and with good amenities nearby. The suite was lovely, beautifully made up and also decorated with care. We loved our stay.

A beautiful hotel and with excellent staff... there was nothing not to like!

Stayed in two different rooms over a 2 night stay followed by a one night stay, all in the same week (separated by three days in Florence) and both rooms were beautiful, overlooking the gorgeous cabana and garden. An absolute pleasure and an incredibly welcoming reception each time from Francesco(?) who could not have been more helpful - she even insisted on carrying our heavy suitcase whilst we were out exploring the city! Without doubt, one of our favourite hotels anywhere in the world and if we ever return to Pisa we will definitely return to this oasis of beauty and calm. Fabulous work team !!

Nothing at all

The hotel staff are exceptionally accommodating and friendly. We paid for a bottle of Prosecco which was presented beautifully in an ice bucket, they kindly provided us with more ice too! The bed was really comfy and streets were blissfully quiet. There was no outside noise or disturbances. We were given local recommendations of things to do and places to eat. San Domenico is a must!! The hotel is within a short walk to the station which was great for travelling to Florence/Lucca. The hotel was spotless and our rooms were cleaned and tidied beautifully every day. There are robes and slippers which were a beautiful touch. There’s a smart tv in the bedrooms so we were able to logon to Netflix/Amazon prime. Upon checkout we were able to leave our luggage at reception, the weather wasn’t great on our last day but we were able to relax in a room next to reception with comfy chairs, coffee machine and snacks. The hotel called us a taxi to the airport which came within minutes. Breakfast was great at a local bakery/cafe and just a short walk from the hotel. You received a voucher which included a hot drink, orange juice, pastry and sandwich. The selection was incredible and staff spoke great English and were really friendly.

The only downside is you can hear others movements. We were on the first floor so could hear people above us walking around their room. The corridors are all marble so it is quite echoey when people are talking.

The staff was absolutely fantastic, professional amd tidy. Gave suggestions on where to eat and where to go in Pisa. The room was beautiful with the fully functioning spa bath. The best part of the room was the bathroom with the walk in dual shower, toilet, bibet and two wash basins. Beautiful bath robes and comfortable home slippers and fully equipped with towels, hair dryer, dental kit, sewing kit and more. There was a coffee machine in the room and a functioning TV with a mini bar. The extra requested items were amazing as well as the option for a late checkout. Although the bed didn't look comfortable it was extremely comfortable and we had a good night's rest. The room was very spacious and well decorated to compliment the old building.

The room was not sound proof and we could hear other guests using the stairs as well as the reception. The matress looked old and crooked. The air conditioning did not work fantastically well. There were plug points next to the bed, but they were being used for the bedside lamps, thus no charger could be plugged in. As well as the plug point in the mini bar was occupied by the dehumidifier.

The property is well maintained, the staff is very helpful and nice from the minute you step into the property they make you feel welcome almost like visiting family. The lady at the front desk is like a concierge, ask a question and you not only got an answer but multiple choices. The property overall is exceptional, simple, modern, and airy. The staircase is my favorite, stunning. The room has everything you need to make your stay comfortable - a coffee machine, kettle, mini bar event wine selection to choose from. This kind of property is hard to find, it is a Pisa gem!

A very wide range of facilities. Room and bathroom were very spacious. Liked the idea of being able to use the bath and be in the main room. Staff were friendly and helpful. Location was very central.

Did not feel very private as we were directly across from reception and you could hear people there. Jacuzzi bath was partially broken. Was not told in advance that breakfast was not on-site. Luggage storage involved putting bags on the stairs outside of reception which meant they were accessible to other guests.

The room was modern and new, very good design. The bathroom was a very nice style and was powerful and modern, the waterfall was awesome. The little floor lights inside the shower has a great effect. Nice balcony with views. Big Tv with Netflix. The bed was large and very comfortable. Very nice and kind staff.

I didn’t stay long enough to be able to enjoy the awesome room. I will repeat 100% is I am coming back to Pisa

Location great and warm welcome received. If we were staying longer than a night would of enjoyed it even more as felt like we needed to stay longer. Great suite and beautifully appointed with everything and more you needed. Lovely small garden and lovely seating area. Very quiet when sleeping at night, would stay again Great TC facilities if you needed it, but we did not.

Would of been good to have free water in the room as most hotels provide bottled water daily. But only a small minor point and would not stop us staying.
