Resort & Winery Bosco De Medici

the rooms were very modern and clean! the pool is beautiful with a view of mt Vesuvius. the on-site farm is a cool visit and the winery is an absolute visit! it is a cool small resort with great wine!

there is not many food options, other than the winery, and the resort is a little far removed from the town center, so we had to walk a bit to get food at times.

The staff at Bosco De Medici were absolutely fantastic. They looked after us so well and made us feel so special. The trips recommended by the hotel were also brilliant, highly recommend taking them up on those offers! The resort was so so peaceful, and a real haven in such a fantastic location so close to the ruins, train station, bustling square with restaurants so close. The wine tasting experience was fantastic and the food was incredible. So happy to have found this place!

The only downside was that we suffered quite a few bug bites - this was understandable near the pool but a couple of mosquitos had gotten into the room and caught us overnight. Otherwise not a single complaint!

Hands down some of the best staff I've had the pleasure of being looked after by. They couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating, from booking us taxis to the shopping mall to booking us a taxi back cos we couldn't find one and spoke almost no Italian - nothing was a problem and was always done with a smile and a manner which made you feel incredibly welcome. As for Bosco De Medici, it was absolutely wonderful as a place to stay for a really relaxing and comfortable time. The pool is even better than it looks in the photos, there's plenty of space around it to chill out and read etc and the pool itself is a really nice place to be, very clean and absolutely required to cool you down. The rooms are laid out really nicely and have everything you need, with the outside space (we had a garden patio view) was absolutely superb - we sat out every single night and it was just such a pleasant space to be. You can have some of your own drinks in your room (there's a decent sized fridge) and/or the (did I mention wonderful?) staff are only too happy to bring drinks to your room or serve you by the pool bar - or both! The only thing I've not scored full marks is nit picking a bit, and it's with regards to 'facilities' but only really in terms of food. The lunch menu (pool bar) is a bit limited and could be doing with some more additions, however, having said that, it really depends how long you stay as, to be honest, the toasties and sandwiches were good enough for me (but not for my 15yr old son who wanted something like chips or pizza etc) Highly recommend the winery tour and lunch, it is really fabulous and genuinely interesting. You also get a taste of some really nice wine (a long term red wine lover, my favourites were all white!). Evening meals are great in the winery but you can also head into town or use the likes of Deliveroo to deliver to the hotel - there's plenty of choice and it's fairly well priced. ...

I would liked to have stayed for longer, that's genuinely my only gripe. Breakfast choices aren't wonderful but I'm not really a breakfast person so...

Friendly helpful staff who welcomed us from day 1 and made our stay perfect. The location of this hotel is stunning-located away from the hustle and bustle (whilst in walking distance to the centre of Pompeii). Surrounded by lush landscaped gardens and citrus trees with the backdrop of Vesuvio. Rooms are a good size, clean, beds / bedding very comfortable, and some room options include a hot tub (in the room). The pool area is chilled and relaxing with bar and snacks, breakfast was casual and enough offering to suit most tastes. Lunch and dinner was more formal setting but still relaxed and accomodated the children (menu options etc.). Many people visit just for the vineyard tour and tasting menu (which was amazing - a must do), but I'd highly recommend a stay at this place too (especially after sampling all the wines with the friendly and knowledgable sommelier).

The resort is amazing and the views of Vesuvius from the pool are incredible. Staff were super friendly and helpful, the pool area beautiful, grounds immaculate, breakfast yummy, pool bar great and the room and communal areas were spotless. The hotel arranged horse riding for the kids on site (Christina was wonderful with them) arranged a tour guide for Pompeii (Ida was friendly and knowledgeable) and booked us in for a wine tour and dinner at the vineyard. Couples and families all seemed happy poolside, with everyone well-behaved. With such a large pool and so few rooms, we felt like we had a private pool despite others being there.

It was fine for us but the rooms aren’t the largest for a family of 4 (but it was good enough and we’d definitely stay again).

I've been here before in 2018 and loved it then. The fact it is an organic farm and winery which is not at all pretentious is a massive plus - the food (all grown right there) and wine (ditto) were amazing. Since my last visit though, BdM has upped its game even further. Rooms have been refurbed with really comfy beds, rainfall showers in the bathrooms, little fridges, gorgeous big TV and all super-clean. The staff are delightful - friendly and exceptionally keen to give really good service. And the pool - after a hot, sweaty day of sightseeing, sliding in to that pool was just heaven!

I really love this place so there was nothing I didn't like. If I had to find something it is that portion sizes in the restaurant could be a bit unpredictable - from quite manageable to huge - or tiny. Always delicious but it could be difficult to know how much to order. It's reasonably priced though, so not that worrying!

The hotel has a holiday & relaxing ambience. The location is 10 mins walk from the main square. The rooms are renovated and spacious. Nice sofa bed and sit out area. The Staff are excellent - very friendly, polite & helpful. A Big Thank you to Sonja, Franz, Antonio and Marco for their EXTRA efforts to make us comfortable & help us. We had a problem with a booking for our visit in Possitano and they helped us with calls and language. Antonio ( night reception ) ordered us a pizza & set us a place at the table een after closing hours as he knew we reached late due to flight cancellations. Sonja & Marco helped us with all the communication. Franz was so polite and friendly & made sure we were comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel for a family looking for a few days to relax.

It would be nice to provide a bottle of water in the room. The restaurant closes by 9.30 PM & there is no room service after that.

A stone’s throw from the Ruins, amazing pool, lovely rooms and excellent on site restaurant. Staff could not have been friendlier and even have us a free upgrade to suite. jacuzzi double sized bath was great fun and the room modern, sleek and clean. Restaurant does fab taster menu paired to the wines the resort produces and very reasonable. Vincenzo was one of the best and most knowledgeable waiters I’ve ever encountered made the evening even better.

There is a train line adjacent to the property but it is only a small local plodder that operates during the day so unlikely to spoil your stay. One thing that could do with improvement is the poolside food menu but that’s really clutching at straws as most folk are out looking at the ruins at lunchtime.

After a long day of touring Pompei, we changed plans and decided not to travel far, and quickly chose this location for a single night. Do not let the neighborhood leading up to the Resort put you off. Bosco De Medici is a virtual Oasis! Enter through the gates and leave the outskirts of Naples behind. Well landscaped and lovely. Because we were dog tired, we chose to eat inside the resort. Honestly, that was a fabulous decision. I can’t imagine getting a better meal anywhere in Naples. What a terrific surprise! While less expensive meals were an option, we chose a 6-course meal with paired wines for 60 Euro. The sommelier explained every choice. good and pairings were wonderful. We walked back to our room extremely satisfied. I wish we could have stayed longer. highly recommend

One week stay and could have stayed for two or permanently! The resort is amazing, with only 18 rooms it feels like your away from a busy city but just a 15 minute walk away. We stayed in the Suite (Rm 118) for our special anniversary and although arriving on a late flight, (22:00), Antonio Ruocco greeted us with a friendly smile and made us feel welcome - Great first impression after a long flight, Antonio was a perfect gentlemen and nothing was an issue from the start, a bottle of the vineyards red wine finished off the first night and got us excited for the next day. The staff at the resort are always there to help, always friendly and patient with all requests. For the day time by the pool, Antonio Carotenuto and team make your stay easy, sorting taxi's, tours, reservations and advice - really adding that personal touch. Key features would be the pool, the AC in the room, the wine and tasting menu at the resort's restaurant. It really is a place you can unwind with a beautiful view of Mount Vesuvius.

Better food available at the pool and rooms, possibly the ability to order food from the restaurant? Update the software on the Smart TV to allow Apple phones to connect House wine in the fridge - was still great but would be a nice touch
