B&B Santi Quattro Al Colosseo0

First time in Rome and took a gamble booking a B&B rather than a hotel, but oh how exceptional it was! Not only was the location unfathomably good with the view of Colosseum just down the road and with a metro station just a few minutes away if you need transport to/from Roma Termini, but the host was so welcoming and helping with tips/tricks and the room itself was beautiful. Light, fresh and perfect for a few nights stay. Would say you get ridiculously much more than what you pay for.

Good spacious room. Convenient to all the major tourist sites. Lovely neighborhood.

The hot water didn't work at all for the first two nights of our stay. Even after it was finally repaired, it was either hot or cold, no in between, never warm. Just hot or cold. That made it hard to shower. Enrique was very nice and attentive, but a cold shower is still a cold shower. If the management can fix the water problem, that would make this place perfect.

Enrique makes this property! He is so incredibly lovely and helpful, sent us food recommendations, helpful tips. Everything you could want when travelling. The room was gorgeous, high ceilings, a beautiful bathroom and a comfy bed. The location is amazing, lots of restaurants around, the colosseum at the end of your street. Security was good and made us feel safe as two girls. A locked door to the building, the floor of the B&B was locked and then your own room key. Air con was fantastic which is just what you need when it’s 40° in Rome.

The only downfall to the property was the shower. The water pressure was not great and the hot water wouldn’t stay on for long. Which was annoying after a long hot day. But we made it work.

Enrique was so helpful, from early luggage intake and our room happened to be ready early, gave us info to secure return airport ride. Restaurant suggestions, which we took, fabulous. Always available via what's app for any questions. And the location! Wow. We had a 1 bed 1 bath, all updated it's all we needed. Coliseum view from balcony lit at night was priceless. Great location and a 24/7 mini mart a few doors down. Beautiful marble stairs and and elevator, which was much needed for luggage.

Nothing to say here, it was all good!

Have two rooms with two bathrooms was great. The rooms were nice sized and the bathrooms were big. The beds were comfortable. There were plenty of towels, linens, toilet paper, etc.. It was also nice to have a sink and little kitchen efficiency in the master room. The property is conveniently located to the colosseum and the area.

The picture in the advertisement is misleading. There is no balcony and you can’t see the colosseum from your room. Be mindful that when they say you can drop your bags early and leave them for late check out, that it’s a really condensed window of time. it’s not like a hotel so if that’s important to you, find out about the time before booking.

We loved this B&B. We were staying in the Annex which is round the corner from the main building but all communications were clear on this and it was very easy to find. The host is very welcoming and gave us some great recommendations too. The room was huge as was the bathroom. It felt really homely and we would definitely return. The location also cannot be beaten if you want to visit the Colosseum, the forum etc.

Nothing really. The WiFi could have been a bit better but it was perfectly adequate for most needs.

We enjoyed our stay so much! The b&b is amazing. me & my partner stayed for 4 nights in the deluxe room and it was so comfortable. Spotlessly clean and tucked nicely away between some restaurants. We ate from the restaurant below a few times and it was lovely. Enrique checked us in and was so helpful and friendly. Decor is modern and even had the bonus of the communal balcony. Can’t recommend enough we will stay again.

it’s worth noting the balcony and breakfast area is communal but this wasn’t an issue for us. We didn’t see or really hear anyone else staying in the nearby rooms.

Fantastic location literally down the road from the colosseum! We even had a view of it from our window. The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. There were lots of restaurants around as well as a 24hr supermarket just down the street. Enrique, was fantastic. He messaged me after we landed to say welcome to Rome and then checked us in when we arrived. He also sent me a list of local cafes and restaurants that they recommend. He replied promptly if we had any questions and was very friendly.

Please note the B&B is unmanned so you have to let them know when you will be arriving so someone will be there to show you in (we almost missed this so wanted to point out for anyone looking). It was very easy to communicate though so this wasn’t an issue. There is not breakfast/cooking facilities at the B&B itself so you need to eat all your meals out (again not a problem for us but worth noting).

Enrique was fantastic, ready to answer any queries, met us on arrival and gave lots of fantastic recommendations for places to eat. We stayed in the deluxe room which had plenty of space and we had use of the balcony in the room next door which looks out to the colosseum.

The room is above a busy street and restaurant which can be quite loud at night and in the morning when they’re clearing up but that’s what you’ll get for staying anywhere central.

Everything was clean and tidy. Enrique was superb all the way through what a nice guy. He assisted with all enquiries and helped us out with stowing our luggage as the airline moved our flight to the evening rather than the morning. The location was great for the Colesseum and all other locations were easy to get to via the Colosseo metro. A 24 hr supermarket was open just a minute down the road. The breakfast was good however just coffee, fruit juice and a croissant, but you do have to walk to the affiliated cafe. The shower was great when you worked out the temperature control (hot and cold is back to front). Bidet included - bathroom very modern. Bed was pretty comfy and I got an extra pillow for my back - you need to request this though. The room was cleaned everyday and the bed was made for us everyday as well. I was surprised. No flying mosquitoes or biting insects to ruin my holiday. Had fabulous weather - very hot for us at 34 degrees C.

Well the door handle kept coming away in our hands when we kept opening and closing the door - but he seemed to fix that after day two. The Tv was switched on once and no English speaking channels out of the 300 odd - I checked. Getting woken up by the Italian Military marching band and soldiers practice marching for the parade at 2-3.00am in the morning - not the establishment's fault. Just ensure you read the hot and cold taps and go opposite.
