Palace Hotel "La CONCHIGLIA D' ORO"

The whole stay was amazing and I truly reccomend this Hotel to everyone. Rooms were comfortable and very clean, when we asked for additional duvets there was no problem with it and we got it immidietely. When we wanted to book a room for one night more there was also no problem with that, and the view from the balcony was beautiful - we could see the mountains. I couldn't write enough about the food and the breakfasts, I've never eaten such quality and tasty products. I highly advise trying some local dishes from Hotel's restaurant and shop. Also - don't forget to try their pizza! Localisation was also a big plus - the Hotel is located in the vicinity of main tourist attractions of Vicenza and you may take a walk and be in the city centre within 15min. You can park at the Hotel and the buliding of Hotel is very accessible itself, for example when you have troubles with using stairs - there is a lift that is avaliable from 0 lvl. Last but not least - the hotel stuff was very kind, attentive and helpful. Lady at the reception desk was very kind, polite, patient and helped us a lot. The same with the ladies working in the shop. I really appreciated very warm, family atmosphere of this place and for sure I will be coming back.

The hotel check-in process is extremely smooth and the staff exceptional. The hotel provides a complimentary glass of wine or coffee and there are complimentary bottles of water in the room. This is not typical of most hotels and very much appreciated. The hotel restaurant is one of the best in the area.

The breakfast quality has degraded somewhat from previous visits. The scrambled eggs and bacon were extremely salty and the variety of foods less than before. Also, the hotel advertises breakfast begins at 7:00 a.m. however when I arrived at that time, it was obvious that many individuals had already eaten. Many breakfast items were gone and it took some time for the staff to replenish.

The room was perfect,very clean and beautiful,the bathroom has everything a traveler needs and the cosmetics were great. Ms Mariana was în charge with the cleaning and she was so helpful,discrete and considerate. People at the reception desk provided us with a lot of useful informations about the city and our trip to Venezia. The breakfast was great. Wright în front of the hotel is a bus stop,bus nr 10,going to the old city center. I injoyed greatly the jacuzzi and pool on the terace. Everything was beyond our expectations.

very clean room, enjoyed the balcony access, spacious. I also liked that there was a restaurant and market. the breakfast was so, so good every morning. I looked forward to it. the staff were phenomenal. so friendly and helpful. I also enjoyed that it was walking distance to the Square

parking was TIGHT! It was easy to park in the parking lot during the day, but nearly impossible at night. There is a parking lot next to the hotel that is €6 and I had to use it twice. I do wish the hotel reimbursed for that or provided a voucher since I am certain not all of their guests can use the parking lot especially when other people enjoy the restaurant or attend a football event across the street.

Room and bad room were quite big. We got big terrace as Balcony. Breakfast was quite OK. The ladies which attend during the breakfast did a very good job refilling the buffet. You could eat at 10:00 without missing any thing. The location was very good, 10 min walk to the city center. Our 6 year old managed the walking without problem. We had a nice holidays in Vicenza...

Swimming pool was quite small..it was more for children. It was OK for us...This was our child holidays...We had a nice holidays in Vicenza...

The Hotel was in a very central location. Staff were very welcoming and friendly, we were offered an upgrade to our room to a junior suite at a very small price which we gladly accepted. We found the room very spacious and spotlessly clean. The room also had bottles of water on arrival. We availed of bed and breakfast and very satisfied with the selection at breakfast time. The restaurant had a variety of food on the menu at very competitive price. Rooms were cleaned daily and staff very friendly. Will definitely be staying again and would highly recommend it.

We were really impressed by the attitude, professionalism and helpfulness of Caterina who was preparing breakfast. Nothing was too much for her :)

We believe that the fan in the bathroom was broken. We've been lucky to have a balcony door for better ventilation. There was mould in the shower near the drainage area.

Our room was reasonably well appointed for a deluxe suite. The bed was king sized with good quality linens, supportive pillows, although it was at times, too firm. Overall the room was very clean. The balcony, while appreciated, needs an umbrella or awning. However it does have patio furniture. Overall, the room delivers where it counts: working A/C, working wifi at high speeds, and adequate sound proofing from outside road street noise. The floor was not busy enough to comment on hallway noise, although I would think it suppressed. The bathroom also delivered with good quality fixtures, water pressure, and soaps. Beyond that, the hotel has a lot going for it. A good market on the lowest level, a workout room with plenty of windows (needs ventilation), pools in the back, and a multi floored restaurant that could seriously seat 200 people and my guess is conservative. The wait staff was very capable, friendly, and bustling. We ate 3 meals there over a 5 night stay and loved every dish. A very extensive menu. Not to mention the hotel has wonderful wine and Prosecco to drink of exclusive varieties. We did not bring a car, nor rent one, but the parking lot should have you covered. Finally, a special shout-out to Cristian for always greeting us with a smile and taking time to talk with us at the front desk. The professional staff from the kitchen, to cleaning, to the front desk persons made the stay enjoyable. Thank you.

Besides the few things mentioned above, there is not much to criticize at this hotel. It’s well located in Vicenza, with plenty of transportation options.

The bathroom floor drain needs to be improved, the water doesn't flow down. There was a strange smell in the elevator.

we booked this because we wanted a night in the city but also use the pool next day. perfect place. The woman that checked us in and the girl at the bar were very friendly. we arrived around 7pm and checked out next day. we were able to use the pool all day which was amazing!!
