SHG Hotel De La Ville

Upon checking in we discovered a problem with our room, which we communicated to the staff. They acted quickly and moved us to another room, so the customer service was very good. Both rooms were spacious, clean and cozy. The breakfast was good too and overall I have no complaints about the hotel itself.

Many reviewers mentioned this already and I have to agree with them - the neighbourhood is not great. The location itself is excellent (walkable distance to the city centre and the main train station), but there's a lot of dodgy men loitering about in the surrounding area, fights breaking out and spilling onto the street, etc., particulary in the evening/at night. Even travelling with my boyfriend, we felt uneasy walking around after it got dark

Clean, comfortable and nicely decorated room. 15 minutes from the train station and 20 minutes from the main square.

Few minor repair jobs needed to the room but nothing to stop me staying again.

The frontdesk was helpful and fluent in English. The location is close to the historic center. It offers underground parking free of charge. While I didn't eat at the hotel's restaurant, they do have one and with quite a long list of options. Room was also spacious.

They seem to have a problem with the doors, the room door was a little bit difficult to close (it needs a good push) and the bathroom door scratches the floor so again a bit difficult to open and close.

No bar or restaurent services outside 07-10 in the morning and evening. A bar with coffee and drinks from 10 am to 12 midnight can be a nice addition or at least some vending machines would be nice.

Everything. It's literally a five stars hotel masquerading as a four one. Staff is always super kind and accomodating at Every hour. Awesome parking. Classy clean rooms and beautiful roomy bathrooms. Also best continental breakfast for the price in Vicenza, I could sleep here just for that, been sleeping here for years and it never disappoints when I come to stay

Great breakfast with a good offer of foor, parking garage included in the room price, the room was very spacious. The staff at the reception is very friendly and helpful.

The bathroom shower door was had a damaged seal, so water can easily moisten the floor. Only 1 elevator was working and it was quite slow, so you might wait some time to reach your room or reception, or the garage.

They were flexible with the breakfast, which was not included. Instead of a whole breakfast, they let me get a coffee and pastry for a reduced price. The people in the restaurant were friendly and helpful.

It was a bit more basic than I expected. I was not able to iron my own clothes, but fortunately demand was low and they could iron some things quickly (for an additional fee, of course).

very friendly staff, full buffet breakfast included, decent restaurant onsite if you don’t wanna eat elsewhere. i ate there all 3 nights and it was ok and decently priced. they even upgraded me to a deluxe room for free. super friendly restaurant staff. A+ in customer service.

This is a great Hotel, accommodation in general it's impeccable, close to main road, staff was very friendly and the process very easy. Room is huge and comfortable, food it's amazing. Leo at restaurant speaks English and it's very courteous. No cost parking, safe and ample. All staff in general speak English and it's very well trained.

Ample parking inside the building for FREE. Very good breakfast. Location is quite good: easy to find when arriving and, after leaving your car, you walk along the street of the hotel and after 10-12 minutes you enter the gate to the inner town and are directly in its main street, easily acceeding all the goodies. Don't miss Teatro Olimpico and stay for the lights and sounds show.

In all fairness, even though you can always say that e.g. lobster was missing from the breakfast, I cannot pinpoint any negative aspect.
