Holiday Inn Express Puerto Vallarta, an IHG Hotel

Jaime could not have been more accommodating...I have a prosthetic leg and needed a hand at times....he was always there to help me with anything I needed. The desk staff as well were very kind and helpful. We are coming back in a couple of week for at least 10 days, and we will be staying there again... Please let your staff know how much the one legged guy appreciated all there help!! Thank you, Gary.

I had to remove my key to leave, and the air goes off...I was in room 207, amd the Sun hits it directly and it took forever to cool it down... Fortunately, when I told the front desk about it, they gave me a second key to use if I was gone a long time.. That was huge!!! Thank you for that!!!

The breakfast was amazing. It was so good that my friend and I went back for a second every morning...The staff are extremely friendly and professional. They even told us what to tell the street vendors so they don't try to over charge us. The beds and pillows are soooo comfortable. You wake up feeling rested. The rooms are very spacious. The hotel is well located; you can either walk from/to the airport which is approximately a 15 mins walk or you can take a uber for less than 60 MXN PESOS. It's also not too far from downtown(about 20 mins uber ride) where there's a lot more attractions. There's a little restaurant across the street a little further to the left that sells tacos, OMG the food is sooo good and sooo authentic!! And they sell this natural guava juice that is soo refreshing!! Guaranteed food coma after this!! There is absolutely no doubt that I will go back!!!!!

The fact that the toilet seat is right behind the door is really not convenient. You always have to be extra careful when you open the bathroom door to not hit the toilet (or the person who's inside if you're not alone)

The place was at a great location, the pool had a nice view, staff weren't as helpful. The day of my stayed the receptionist charge me again. When I had already paid online and showed her prove of payment, she said they hadn't received anything on thier end. So in order to stay I had to paid her again. She then said my credit card wasn't going through when I had just used it! So I've paid cash because it was already late to book another hotel didn't even get a copy of my receipt or anything.

I didn't like the fact that the staff don't communicate with the host. I've got charged twice for my stayed. I spoke to a receptionist and mentioned what had happened asked to speak to her supervisor somehow the call gets disconnected. I been trying to call them back and noone answers let them a voicemail. I'm very disappointed in how they don't respond to your needs and return your calls back. I would rate there customer service poorly!

Close to the airport, clean, comfortable and fairly quiet given the location. Comfortable beds and helpful staff. The pool was pleasant, and the gym was well equipped. Easy to get to the Malencon via bus, taxi or uber from here. Being able to leave luggage here until a late flight was a bonus.

No fridge in the room. Only 2 bottles of complementary water per room even though we were 3 guests. Have to leave passport in exchange for a pool towel (?!) which seems ridiculous. The hot tub/jacuzzi was cold and not functioning.

My room was immaculate, the bedding and towels such wonderful quality. Room spacious and very comfortable. Bathroom spacious with a massive walk in powerful shower. Fabulous little pool big enough to swim in and gorgeous area to relax and take in views beyond. So near to the airport bus stop directly to the right and one stop 4 minutes journey. Or can walk in 15 minutes. Would stay again.

Loud air conditioner in room during night had to wear ear plugs. Breakfast service was chaotic and I didn't end up having any. Waiters running around hard to attract their attention. I wasn't aware it was a buffet and the language barrier prevented clear communication. I was quickly gestured to sit down when I had chance to grab a waiter but then after 20 minutes realised I had missed breakfast and then the service was over. My feedback would be to make guests aware on arrival it is a buffet system and to have a vlear entry point as its not mentioned nor is obvious.

The breakfast was ample and varied (not the same thing every day). The bed was very comfortable. The room was large and met all of our various needs. We rested, I worked and we relaxed.

While I waited for my wife to go upstairs and change a very young security guard came and told me that I was not allowed to park there. NO explanation, just that I was not allowed to be there. I wasn't parking, I was waiting for my wife. No other vehicle was coming or going.

I stayed at the Holiday Inn Suites from March 13-14 on my final night in Mexico. I had originally booked at the Express but when I arrived, was informed that they were full and had transferred my reservation to the Holiday Inn Suites which was just a few minutes down the highway. This review is for the Holiday Inn Suites. The hotel was modern and clean. The room was spacious and had two king beds, a nice large window overlooking the city, lounge chair, TV and spacious bathroom with walk in rain shower. In order for the electricity to work in the room, you have to slide your key card into the slot beside the door when you walk in, which was a bit odd and was not explained at all by the staff. The Wi-Fi was strong. The check in process was simple and straightforward and staff were friendly. The outdoor pool on the rooftop was gorgeous and the rooftop lounge deck and views were beautiful. it was a really lovely place to relax. There was also a restaurant and bar on the rooftop. There was a free continental breakfast in the morning in the lobby which had lots of options. I am vegan and gluten-free so there were few options for me unfortunately. I enjoyed the fresh fruit though!

I was just for one night to catch my fight the next day, love the is just in front to the airport, also the service at the front desk was very helpful , the bellboy help us too , he speak great English and help us with information about the area clear and easy for find food , money exchange and the installation of the property is clean , I found it perfect for what I was looking with my family!

The staff were so friendly. The cleaning crew were amazing. The hotel was nice for the value. the staff spoke many languages and sincerely tried to help in those languages. The beds were incredibly comfy. The sheets so soft. The AC worked really well.

The pool was not heated and very cold. No fridges in the room and the ice machine was on every second floor.

Bed was super comfy, bathroom as well was very nice. Water pressure was good/had hot water. They provided filtered water bottles too. Super close to the airport and bus stop right outside to get to the main town.

The breakfast included was not very good. The hot food was left out all morning so it wasn’t very hot (pancakes were a bit stale, chilaquiles were very soggy). If you were here for a long stay there isn’t much to do around as the beach is far away.
