The hotel has a very beautiful landscaping, the rooms are big an clean. The bed felt clean as well and very comfy. The location was ideal to me since it sits away from all the movement going at zicatela yet you can walk a few steps there and enjoy the lively beach front if you want.

The TV was broken... Not a problem to me since I wasn't planning to see any TV anyways

This is a beautiful hotel: pretty buildings, lush gardens, two wonderful swimming pools, and a terrace and restaurant overlooking the beach, with ocean breezes and views of the famous waves that surfers come to Puerto Escondido for. Our room was large and comfortable, and the air conditioning was welcome for mid-day siestas and cool sleeping at night. I loved that there were screens on the windows and a fresh jug of drinking water each day. The staff were unfailingly kind and helpful. I found two novels I liked in the book-exchange cabinets at the front desk. The food in the hotel restaurant was generally quite good (loved the fresh juices and cinnamon French toast). There's also a nice coffee shop below the hotel called Finca de Nieves and a first-rate seafood restaurant across the street called Marinara (great ceviche verde and seafood curry), where you can lounge in hammocks after your lunch. The hotel's location is perfect, steps from the Zicatela beach and the quiet end of its strip of restaurants and shops. It's also walking distance to the main parts of Puerto Escondido, for laundry places, banks, and more restaurants and shops. You only have to walk out of the hotel's entrance and wait a few minutes to catch a taxi, which can whisk you to Playa Bacocho to release baby turtles at dusk or to Playa Manzanilla for quiet coves good for swimming. Or you could spend your whole time in the hotel's pools and lounge chairs, taking beach walks in the morning and evening, and have a perfect vacation. It's a steal for the price.

There was almost nothing to complain about. We had some red ants in the bathroom, and it would be nice if the pools were skimmed more often (lots of leaves and little flowers blowing off the trees). Some guests ignored the sign that the upper pool is only for adults, but that wasn't much of a problem. I missed having chicken, beef, or pork in the hotel restaurant; it only had seafood and vegetarian dishes, but most of them were quite tasty. Wearing the hotel's little plastic bracelet for a week was a slight bother.

Even that it is an old hotel, it was very clean, and has all the amenities for our liking, it's located close to the beach and spend some time in the pool after it was closed and nobody said anything about it.

Does not have a lot of parking but we did not have any issues.

The location is great-you're right at the top of Zicatela beach and can watch the surfers from the deck outside the rooms and the restaurant. The margaritas and fish tacos were fantastic. We stayed a week and ate at the restaurant quite a lot, breakfasts and lunches mostly, and it was very good. They've got a woman making fresh tortillas, two pool areas. During the week we had the place mostly to ourselves which was incredible. The front desk helped arrange in room massages for us. I think we were in room 5 which was great--it had a little hammock in the room and a balcony of sorts. Oh and they had Netflix as well which was a nice touch since we were there in the August rainy season. Also got to meet the owner and her son who were lovely and they had a cat that walked on a leash. Too funny. It wasn't overrun with wildlife but there was an iguana who made the occasional appearance. Also cool. They changed money for us at the front desk and all of the staff were helpful and friendly. Powerful AC in the room. There's a super cute restaurant across the street with a really cool set up on the beach.

Yeah...no complaints. It's a little more expensive than some of the other hotels further down the beach but we were extremely happy with our choice. I was with my mom so we weren't really 'partying' but we were close enough to the action for our tastes. I'm in my 40s (but still cool, don't judge) so while I would have liked to stay at a backpacker hostel and find a boyfriend, Hotel Santa Fe was perfect for a relaxed vibe.

The place it's beautiful, the rooms are very comfortable and the pool and the view from the pool give you the exact energy you need for a vacation. The bed was comfy, and the bathroom clean. It is a lovely hotel!

I chose the hotel thinking that it was right in front of the beach, meaning that it had chairs or umbrellas that you could use at the shore. However, it is not the case, you have to cross the street and there Are no amenities from the hotel there. I didn't like that it did not have music, I was not expecting loud music but at least something in the background that would complete the beach vibe.

The view of the Pacific from the restaurant and terrace is amazing. The pools are great, very refreshing.

The only thing that is not good about the location is that the beach is too dangerous for swimming. So we had to go to other beaches.

I liked the location. The staff after a few days warmed up to us. I loved sitting under the palapa roofed restaurant and seeing the ocean across the street. When it's hot, it's nice to sit under something covered with fans. I sat in the restaurant (very comfortably) and worked all day, for a couple of days. They were attentive and yet respectful of letting me work. The food was mostly vegetarian, with seafood options. Everything we ate was good! The property has 2 pools, one adults only, and a big flat deck area with lounge chairs to relax in. Nice place for families.

The fan over our bed squeaked the entire time. You can't be without it, it was too hot, even with the air on. The internet both in the room and restaurant were not good at all. It was difficult to get emails in and out. I think if they upgraded their internet, that would be a plus to their business. The windows that has screens had large rips or holes in them. We covered with towels so the mosquitos couldn't get it, as I am a mosquito magnet!!
