City Express by Marriott Chetumal

The location is perfect. The mall is literally next door. Thankfully there are elevators too and you don't have to be walking up and down to the different floors. There is a free parking lot and the wifi is pretty good too, the staff is friendly, free breakfast and coffee all day long. And being 4 and 5 storeys up, the water pressure to shower is perfect!

Our check-in process was very long. Perhaps it was one of those days when the system is not working to its full capacity but we booked two rooms and when we arrived, they had no idea we had a booking and it took a while to process our booking. We were asked to return in an hour and the room should be ready (since we were there before the check-in time). But when we returned about two hours later, our second room was not ready and we still had to wait some more so it can be processed. But hey, other than that, this place was great!

I like the breakfast, it was delicious, the room was good with a really good temperature. I really love the transportation from the hotel to the malecón because it was a little far from there.

The room smelled like cigarettes, but the hotel staff give us another room, excellent attention, the internet was super slow and if you have to work its almost impossible... We had an encounter with a very rude lady from the staff but I just don't remember her name. I wish we could use the transportation service to the airport.

I liked the idea that the staff was courteous and bilingual.Also that the breakfast served was fresh and of a wide variety.The location was perfect for my family and I as taxi was easily available and the multi plaza was close by

I think that they can improve by having a set of rooms ready at an earlier time because some people travel very early

Clean and comfortable. Morning breakfast buffet was always delicious and ready early. Easy quick walk to the Mall across the parking lot, Burger King or McDonalds. It was nice having the swimming pool the kids enjoyed that. We spent 2 nights to celebrate my grand daughter's birthday.

Very friendly and helpful staff, they helped us so much! As we cannot speak Spanish very well, they helped us in making calls local phone calls and translating our requests. Printing of documents, also no problem. Thank you once again!!

The pool area is a bit minimal

breakfast was good, buffet style, fresh fruit, eggs, toast, coffee, juice, cereal ,the room was very clean and the beds were very comfortable, shower was hot and the bathroom was very clean, air-conditioning was cold and quiet, nice quite pool for a cool off, excellent stay would stay again

nothing, it was a good value hotel, no complaints at all

It's a very great location to be since it's very close to one of the main shopping areas. Breakfast is always great!

I didn't like having to ask at front desk for an additional towel when my room was based on double occupancy. I believe this should have been automatic that 2 towels would be placed in the room.

It was nice and clean and the staff was very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was great. Many options to choose from

Pool was a little bit dirty and towels were scarce. 1 towel in each room. I think a room should have more towels. Wifi was unstable but you could position yourself and find service

I was looking for ice one night and went down to the first floor just to find out the machine was not functional. I was promised ice by the front desk, but the ice never arrived. Overall, I did enjoy my stay but could have been better.

Simple clean room with queen bed. Great shower with plenty of hot water. Breakfast was good.

Both elevators were out of service Sunday morning. It was check out time and I was on the 4th floor.
