Maison Tulum

Seriously, if you’re looking for acommodation in Tulum, just book this hotel. Great location by the main street, with a bike you can go anywhere within a few minutes. Don’t pay for hotels by the beach, they are nice but many times more expensive and the food isn’t as good as in the town. The garden is stunning, room was clean and spatious and Guillermo is the sweetest host. We felt very safe and welcomed. For the prize it’s unbeatable.

We loved everything! Maybe the shower could have a bit more water pressure, but i understand the water source might be limited and it’s not a problem at all, the water was warm and enough to shower after a sweaty day.

Location was close to ADO station. We were able to get a ground floor room upon request. The hotel has some cute resident cats and kittens and the manager Guillermo was wonderful. We had a bike we were transporting to Mahahual on the ADO that he allowed us to store securely outside our room. When we needed a fridge for medication Guillermo immediately went to work and showed up at our door with a fridge very quickly. The price of this resort is low but we were very comfortable. There is a restaurant right next to hotel that has breakfast and espresso.

Difficult to locate property we stopped in our private transfer and I was looking not realizing it was next to us.

The hotel had a great location, very close to all the amneties and ADO bus station. Room was huge, it looked like a small apartment with a kitchen and a living room separated from the bedroom. Very cozy and spacious. They have a little cafe whereyou can get coffee and nice croissants. It is very safe. We were welcomed by Sir Guillermo how was very lovely and has an answer for whatever you may need or want. He was super helpful, gave some amazing advice as well as taught us some i teresting facts about the country and history. Very pleasant stay and great value for money. Would highly recommend.

I absolutely fell in love with this house! it was so uniquely designed, full of art decorations, plants, and there was a cute parrot and a few cats living there too. The owners and staff were the nicest people and it felt like living with a family rather than a hotel. It has a very nice rooftop to chill. the rooms were big and bed was comfortable. location was great as it was 2 blocks from the main street of Tulum and within 5min walk to lots of restaurants and bus station.

in room 5 the shower didn’t work well and water stream was not consistent, would suggest to change to a new shower head. the green curtain was also hard to open and close. the rooms were by the street so can be noisy from traffic.

When you enter the place it feels like a garden and makes you forget about the city. Our room was large and had lot of light The receptionist helped us a lot. We checked in here in the middle of the night because we had a issue in another hotel. After being suprised a bit he sort everything for us. Even though we were close to city it was quite. Everything was clean.

Even the bed was large it was way to soft. It felt like a water bed on a certain level. Sometime hot water was a little issue but we had always atleast warm watter which was acceptable for us.. But we stayed in other hotels as well it is a genral thing in Mexico i believe. I still recommend the place. Other gueast were also happy

Maison Tulum far exceeded my expectations in every way. From it’s unique design, lush vegetation everywhere, super cleanliness, and most welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable staff. I’m an airline pilot who spends 16 days a month in hotels, the last place I wanted to be was staying at was a place that felt like another work hotel. Maison Tulum was absolutely the perfect location for me and my needs, I felt like I had moved into a mini paradise. I can honestly say the room was spotlessly clean, charmingly decorated, and I WILL be staying there during all my future trips to Tulum. Do yourself a favor, book this hotel, and enjoy the experience as much as i did. Additionally, enjoy the friendliness of the staff, they’ll know you by first name, give you recommendations and you’ll feel instantly like old friends.

I had slight internet connectivity issues once or twice as I was staying in the upper level (penthouse) but as I said it was only a minor inconvenience that happened once or twice momentarily. I can’t think of any other issues at all!

While Tulum was not for me, I loved my stay at Maison Tulum. It’s clean and safe (with a locked gate) but the best part by far is the owner, Flor. I arrived a bit early and the cafe was closed. While I waited for my room, she offered me an ice cold coke on ice and then sent me a list of things to do and see via WhatsAPP. She is a wealth of knowledge and works tirelessly to make sure all her guests feel at home and have a wonderful stay. She introduced me to another lovely solo traveler and suggested that we rent a car to do a day tour of nearby ruins (Coba which are a must!) and some local cenotes. She booked the entire thing and had the car delivered to the property and arranged for the pickup as well. It could not have been a nicer experience. The location is also great just two blocks off the main drag but also very quiet. There is a relaxing terrace with hammocks to be enjoyed at the end of a (hot!) day too.

I’ve travelled in Mexico for 3 weeks and this was my best accomodation experience so far! The place has such a good vibe and location (1 minute walk from the main street), very safe and the owner/staff is just so nice and helpful with all of their guests, they let you feel just like your home. Rooms are enough big and clean, shower always has hot water and wi-fi works properly. There is air conditioner as well. Bed is so comfortable. There is TV with Youtube and Netflix. There was also possibility to get a beautiful message under the stars it was such a cool thing! I would recommened this place to everyone!

I loved everything about this place!

Overal our stay was amazing. The owner/host was exceptionally helpful and nice. The room was clean and everything (AC, fan) worked well.

For those who find internet access important: The WiFi was poor, almost non-functional with occasional "good times" when it did work. We were told we could watch Netflix, but you would need a biiig portion of patience to do so (again, it worked sometimes). We do not recommend if you need to work - and need WiFi for that. Apart from that excelent stay and highly recommended!

Maison Tulum was a fantastic place to stay during our visit to Tulum. The style of the property was authentically Mexican and the attention to detail was impressive. The lush greenery surrounding the property added to the overall ambiance. Our host was extremely kind and accommodating, making our stay even more enjoyable. Overall, we had a lovely experience at Maison Tulum and would highly recommend it to others looking for a unique and comfortable stay in Tulum.
