Romantic Rubi Tulum

We had an incredible experience at Rubi. My husband had been in touch with them a week before our arrival to arrange a romantic outdoor dinner. They went above and beyond to set up a beautiful ambiance with petals and candles in our room. Everything was absolutely perfect! They even took care of booking our taxi cabs and restaurants, making our stay hassle-free. The room was impeccably clean, and we had the best romantic and relaxing time. The staff was amazing, and the food was exceptional. We couldn't have asked for a better experience at Rubi.

The staff couldn’t be friendlier or more helpful. So many delicious drinks to try at the bar and mouthwatering options at the restaurant (both for breakfast and dinner). The pool was refreshing during the warm days and was meticulously clean. There wasn’t a better way to end each night than gazing up at the starry sky while laying in the nest on our suites rooftop.

I honestly can’t think of anything. We just wanted to stay longer!

The travel to the hotel, need to work on the roads and signage but that will come as the area is developed.

service - the service at Rubi is exceptional and really made our time there. They go over and above to make your stay perfect and are clearly so passionate about what they do - thank you Ricardo for recommendations of the area, Umberto for your passion and knowledge of the food you served we loved learning about the flavours, Willy for the incredible cocktails - the hotel and rooms are stunning, we felt like we were in an oasis in the jungle. We particularly enjoyed the rooftop for star gazing at night. - location- quiet and secluded but also just a bike ride away from la valleta which had really cool bars restaurants - the food is exceptional, we had the best food in all of Mexico in this hotel kudos to the chef.

We loved everything. I recommend getting a ATV if you plan to stay a little longer as we found it the best way to get around.

One of the best stays I've ever had! I felt pampered and was living in luxury with 3 floors to myself (including 2 balconies, a rooftop pool, a rooftop sun bed). It was the perfect way to disconnect and relax. The staff was super friendly, the decor was a dream - I really felt like I was living in a fairytale. Ricardo was super helpful with giving suggestions/recommendations. Since my trip was a bit unconventional, I was looking for relaxation/wellness/retreat type activities. Ricardo is well connected in the city & recommended me to a local hotel for a wellness event that was raising money for a community project (a school in the area!). It was a great way to get away from the tourists (and the tourist prices too), take in an authentic local experience, and I got the chance to experience a massage, a biofeedback therapy session, and my first temezcal! I didn't plan on heading to the center/beach area during my stay (since I am hotel hopping to experience the different parts of Tulum) and so transport was not a big issue. When I did need to get around (like to the community event and to the next hotel), they ordered me a taxi and it came within ~10-15 mins. A ride into the city center ~300 pesos (lowest I ever got was 250 pesos on the way back) Other things I loved - their restaurant Balaxe !! Sooo under appreciated - I wish more people would know it exists and give it a try. The food is top notch and my favourite dish was the duck - so tender & rich in flavours! Other really great dishes were the hamachi sashimi and carpreese pizza! Also my favourite smoothie is the Wild Fruits made with lots of berries and peanut cream ... had it several times while I was here! Both Diegos were my servers (taking my order, bringing out the dishes to explain what they were, etc.) and they were both so kind, friendly, and welcoming :)

I didn't realize housekeeping came by 2 times a day. On my first night here, I turned them away (in the AM), and when I came back from dinner, the bed was made with several candles lit in my room. It was a sweet gesture and it was nice coming back to a tidy bed, but it felt very uncomfortable when I first entered the room and I felt an invasion of privacy. It's just a personal preference, but I don't typically take housekeeping at any hotels I stay at. By Day 2, once I understood their routine, I was okay with it. The housekeepers are very kind and friendly, and I appreciate the time and care they put into resetting the room for me.

This place is Magical! The black/blue pool and waterfall were amazing! I have never seen a pool like this! They had a DJ during the day that made it a great place to hang out and relax. And at night they light candles around and in the pool making it very romantic! The penthouse we stayed in had a hammock balcony that was very unique and we loved the rooftop with the nest and the private pool with a swing in it! We were very surprised to find candles burning over our bed when we returned after dinner! This was a great place for a romantic getaway!

Everything exceeded our expectations!

New hotel with very large suite nicely decorated. Large nice pool at the center with a good pool bar. Private jacuzzi. All the amenities and equipment you expect from a high end hotel. Staff was very nice. Nice view from the tower. The restaurant is very good with an executive chef trained by Copenhagen Noma restaurant team.

The hotel is situated in an area (the 'jungle') in development - roads are rough for the last kilometer, other developments under construction in the neighborhood. Warning: This hotel is not on the seaside, has no private beach and no sea view. It was perfect as far as we were concerned especially when weather was not so good.

Brilliant hotel. Staff were amazing and so helpful. The rooms were stunning. Staff lit candles all over the hotel and your room every night. Very romantic place. The owner was lovely to chat to and she's done an amazing job designing the place to be so unique.

Nothing the hotel can help but just be aware the whole area is still under construction, there isn't much around if you plan on leaving the hotel on foot. However once construction is finished it will be an amazing area with hopefully more going on around and bars and restaurants to explore.

The room, the scent, the candles, and every piece of furniture and decoration made our stay pleasant and romantic! We had a fantastic second honeymoon! The sunset at the tower was a special moment that inspired and motivated us! The staff was attentive, and made us feel welcomed and special! The food was exquisite! It is a beautiful place built with love and dedication! You don’t want to miss it!

Our stay was too short!😩 We wished we could have stay longer!

The staff were really nice and looked after each detail to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The hotel design is incredible, very original and well thought. The room was very spacious, with a separate living room space and a private rooftop with a little pool. Very well decorated and comfortable.

The access to the hotel is difficult, the road is bumpy, but once you reach the hotel you just forget about the way and enjoy the atmosphere, totally worth it!
