Fantastic location, and very neat hotel architecturally - colonial style with courtyard, tile floors, neat details. EXCELLENT VALUE - there are no private rooms in this very central, cool area near the price I paid. Bed comfy and toiletries provided and staff very helpful. I would stay again.

My actual room was just OK (no exterior window), my room was kind of hard to find and the water pressure was not very good in the shower. AC not super powerful (it was October, HOT outside), but OK. These took off one star for me. I did check in late and probably got the last available room.

The location was excellent, right in the middle of the centre. The staff were very friendly and helpful with arranging taxis. The building is older but not too rundown. The room was spacious and clean. The shower was hot which was a real bonus. There was a fully functional A/C and a ceiling fan, so no worries about being too hot. There was a clean looking pool but we didn't use as it's winter and the pool is in the shade.

Some of the other guests were really noisy between 1 and 3am. Having quiet hours and enforcing them would help.

It's a beautiful old building right smack in the centre of Merida. You can walk to many restaurants, the cathedral, shopping and the parks within a few minutes. The room was large and clean.

The internet worked well only in the common areas. We also heard a lot of noise until late, but staff was kind enough to ask us whether we wanted to have a balcony toward the street, or preferred a quieter room in the back of the building. The room key comes with a huge piece of wood attached to it, too big to fit in anyones pocket.

Location. Old world spanish style, nice atmosphere. Water fountain top up cooler

My room faced the lovely courtyard atrium. There are no windows proper but it does get fresh air via vents. You can't really have the door open and the shutters on the door do open but the room is kind of dark due to the reflective film on the glass. You can see into the room at night with the shutters open. It's also a little noisy in these rooms with it all being so open. Request a street room

Really good location, close to everything. They were kind enough to give me the corner room with a huge ceiling and little balcony. Good stay, they constantly asked me to me if I wanted my room cleaned, helpful when I locked myself out of the room. They have breakfast available every morning although I didn't eat there.

Great location, easy access to all the places in the city center. Quiet —even for the location downtown, traditional building with lots of charm. Great staff that was very helpful giving options for where to go, very friendly and very good attitudes. Willing to go the extra mile to help their customers.Comfortable beds, ceiling fan, daily housekeeping. I chose a room in the back near the pool so especially quiet

I have nothing but positive remarks to say about the Hotel Reforma. Starting in 2017 I have stayed at the hotel every year since. Is it a 4-star hotel? No but I am not a 4-star person. I look for a place in a good location, friendly staff, decent prices and cleanliness, and the Reforma fits the bill for me because I am a budget traveler with a diesire for value. Being a block from the square the location is excellent and because of location there are plenty of places to eat in the area for all price ranges. The hotel staff took care of me when I tested positive for Covid 19 when I tried to fly back to the states. The owner graciously allowed me to stay and self Isolate. The staff barely knew me, the owner didn't know me but he was kind enough to let me stay. Two days after my start of Isolation the staff brought me 10 days' worth of water, towels, shampoo and soap, what a place!!!

absolutely nothing

Great affordability, the building is old (1500's) so it has its quark's but very lovely.

I would like the hot water to be more consistent and for it to be better insulated for sound. But that might not be possible. 😁

I really love this place and its colonial atmosphere. It is located just next to the main square. You can actually see the town hall from the balcony. Very friendly staff.

Be sure to get the room in front of the facility. Rooms that are facing the street are spacious and full of light (balcony). You can also access a nice patio from there. Don't take a room at the back, around the pool. These are small, very dark (no window at all), and moist. Surprisingly the price for both types of rooms is the same! And the difference in quality is stunning!!! If I wouldn't ask to change the room I would be very much disappointed in this hotel. The internet is a bit weak.

Location is very central and close to ADO bus station. Walking distance. Room was large enough for our family of five. Air conditioning was excellent. Free drinking water. Deep pool. Great foyer area to relax. The cleaning staff was very kind.
