Hotel Real Toledo by Kavia

Hotel was very beautiful and historic, breakfast was delicious and very filling. Location was great, very close to parks, restaurants and not too far from ADO stations. Street out in front was not too busy or loud.

Walls were rather thin and/or the way the our windows in the room and bathroom (no glass, only wood shutters) opened to a small courtyard, allowed lots of sounds from the neighbors to drift in. Floor drain in the bathroom needed water poured into it occasionally to keep the sewer gas smell out

We loved the location, the beautiful building, and the employees were wonderful. I would say they went the extra mile to please us. One night Marcial went to get a medicine for my aunt at 11:00 P.M. and another evening he surprised us with some items we needed to be comfortable. Israel and Marcela were so helpful as well. Great assets!

We were moved from room 104 because there were a lot of small flying insects in the restroom area. the door to the restroom needs to be upgraded. The other room we were moved to was much better. Still some insects but not as many. We are thinking that having the AC on all the time would help to keep the room without these insects, but my aunt is not used to the AC. Also, the included breakfast was only eggs (rancheros and Mexican style) and toast. Maybe they could add cereal, fruit, yogurt just for a change.

Beautiful lobby, feels like you are staying in an old Meridian palace. Nice pool too. Huge bed, goodish wifi and very friendly staff. The hotel is close to the main tourist attractions and there is parking available is case you wanna rent a car. A water cooler is available at the lobby.

Couldn’t pay with our cards there (tried 2 different banks). Had to call the bank and they told us it was on the recipient’s bank side. Not a big problem tho, just be aware that you might need some cash to pay. The room was very humble: very big but pretty empty. No iron available. Also the room was noisy at night up until 2AM because of the bar with live music next to the hotel. Also it was the first hotel in Mexico that we’ve been to where the staff asked us for tips for serving us our included breakfast and cleaning the room

The hotel was clran and comfortable. The room was larger, with two double beds and a private shower. They changed the sheets and towels every day. They offered small, but useful amenities. The breakfast was nice - 4 choices of eggs plus fruit and coffee. I didnt eat the eggs, but did have a small plate of fruit. The hotel was quiet at night, and the staff were helpful. The location was excellent - many places could be walked to within 30 mins or less. The wifi was very good. The a/c was awesome. The hotel is as cute and charming as it's photos.

Our room was clean, except for a spilled stain on the floor. They needed to mop the floor. They offered one bath towel per person, but no washing cloth, and on our second day, gave a floor towel. There was only one hook, and there needed to be at least two hooks, either in the bathroom or on another wall. There is only a small mirror in the bathroom, and another half or full length mirror would be appreciated.

Israel the guy on reception was very sweet and helpful. the building is beautiful with a lot of character. location is excellent. bedroom was big. it’s relatively quiet for Mexico

we found the pillows a bit too big, so it was difficult to sleep. the shower head was a bit clogged so water was coming out at different directions. they had no face towel available and we needed to ask for a bathroom floor towel. in the room there’s not much place to put stuff.

The hotel is in a very convenient location to the tourist attractions in the main square near the cathedral and to the parks nearby. We walked from there to the Paseo de Montejo within 30 minutes. Walked to bars, cantinas, coffee shops, museums, art and clothes shops, bus tours, and restaurants. Pool is nice and good breakfast of eggs and toast is included.

It was a little noisy late at night due to live music nearby, but we just closed the door to the bathroom to shut off the noise and slept well.

The staff was very friendly, I enjoyed the old-world Mexican style. there was a pool, free breakfast, and free parking. there are plenty of good restaurant options (Alameda across the street), to the corner, right, and one block to the corner is a terrific coffee shop (coffee was the best I've had in Mexico, and the sandwiches really good). And then two blocks up is the plaza/ park with shopping and more restaurants along the way.

Wonderful staff, absolutely great location (cannot get better than this for the price you're paying) the beds are comfy, i just wish the bathrooms were slightly bigger and that the bedrooms had widows - But the ambience, location, overall aesthetics, were just wonderful. I'd definitely return here happily.

Great breakfast, great and beautiful facilities, superb location and amazing staff. The best part was probably the staff attitude and friendliness. I hope their company is treating them well and keep them happy. They are great people who go out of their way to delight their customers.

The only possible downside but understandable is that parking is a separate location, the gates needs to be open by one of the staff upon request.

Very nice hotel with wooden furniture in historic style and central pool area. Very close to the city center, private parking area.

Rooms were a little smaller, but nice. In one of our rooms we were missing a pillow and shower seemed to be broken (only boiling hot water, no cold). Room door had a big gap at the floor level and lot of insect got inside through there, mostly flies.
