Mansión Mérida Boutique Hotel - Restaurant

This hotel is really superb!! It's like stepping into another world. The grandeur, the decoration in every detail it's perfect. The staff is excellent and takes care for you as if you are their best familie. the hotel is situated at a nice square in the city centre. The room was very spacious and very very well decorated. At last but not least, the bed is super, maybe better than our own Hastings😁.

One remark: in the afternoon the swimmingpool wqs taken over by three young people. Bringing their own speaker and music and quiet some beer and wine. They didnt care about the other guests. When informed the staff about this not very social behaviour they did not really act.

The breakfast portions are generous and they are delicious. The discount dinning at the restaurant as a hotel guest was a pleasant surprise. The location of the hotel is very central, we want to experience the historical part of Merida and staying at this historical mansion with its location certainly serve the purpose and it exceeds our expectation!

More lightings in the room may be required, since I was mainly using my room at night time. Having an extra bathroom floor mat (instead of just having one) would also be nice since it is a larger bathroom and there are steps involved to step into the bath tub/shower, the wet steps tend to get a bit slippery.

OMG, we were blown away by the absolute beauty of this historic building, the comfort of our room plus the location was absolutely divine. The staff were from beginning to end helpful, kind and so friendly. Our room was quiet, cool and clean. The decor is tasteful; giving you a sense of being in someone's colonial mansion more than a hotel. Lot's of places to sit and read or sip a cool drink in the heat of the day. The location was perfect. Walking distance to everything we wanted to see in the historic center.

Not a thing. It was a perfect 5 days.

Beautifull hotel right in the middle of the historical center of Mérida. It has a fantastic patio with palm trees and a fountain, where also breakfast is served. The pool is located in a second very nice patio. The personnel is very nice and always standing by to make your stay most enjoyable. Entering the hotel from the busy streets and park in front of it is like entering an oasis of calm.

Actually everything was perfect. I tried to get a room with a kingsize bed, but only a room with two double beds was available. The beds were smaller than queensize beds and quite small for two persons.

Very nice mansion in a very good state with lots of place to sit and relax, with possible imagination to go back in time. Very good breakfast inside the house on open place, but in case of rain there is no problem as they have many tables/chair undercover. Location is perfect in centre of Merida with close by enough interested place to see and eat. Rooms are with very high sealing, but room has very powerful AC and room isdecorated in old style with all details as in the past, even the doors and windows.

The Mansion Merida was great and exactly what we hoped for. It is located in the central historic district and walking distance to all the sites. It is beautifully decorated with all the charm of a bygone era. Why stay in a US chain hotel when you can experience a place with Mexican history and charm? Spotlessly clean, the staff does a wonderful job maintaining the hotel and are very friendly and helpful. The owner is on site everyday and went out of his way to make us feel welcome. Each morning we had breakfast in the lovely outdoor patio and were serenaded by a piano player! The food was excellent too. We recommend the Mansion Merida very highly. You won't be disappointed.

From the moment we checked into the hotel we were more than impressed! The service from all staff was exceptional. Welcome drinks & fruit in our room waiting for us.... service in the bar/bistro..... breakfast packs and towel pack for going on tour early the next morning (complimentary). Nothing was too much trouble. The hotel itself is just beautiful- photos cannot do it justice. And listening to the beautiful piano (live) playing at breakfast just added to how special we felt. The staff in the bar/bistro need particular mention for their service, help and conversation- we could not fault them. Thank you! And the room was just perfect- the bed was so comfortable, air conditioning nice & cold, the room was spacious & bathroom huge with a beautiful bath. Fully stocked bar fridge & snacks

We would have loved to have stayed longer!

Luxurious hotel housed in a historic mansion in a prime location. The room was beautiful, very spacious, perfectly clean. Breakfast served in the inner courtyard was the best we had in a long time. Staff at this hotel is wonderful.

The Wifi could be better and requires some upgrading. given the thickness of all the walls I this historic building, the signal behaved rather whimsically.

This place is outstanding! It is beautiful, elegant, basically an oasis in the middle of a city center. The staff are friendly & polite, breakfast portions are generous, food is good. Room size is big, location is central. Great place to stay if you want to experience the authenticity of the everyday life for the common people & to admire the colonial architectures in this region.

Colonial style hotel, awesome patio with palmtrees and a fountain where also breakfast is served, very good service and friendly staff.

Actually I cannot complain about anything, because I got what I booked! I tried to get a kingsize bed, but were all taken by the time I booked. The double beds were in the size of a "small" french bed and quite small, if you intend to sleep in the same bed with your wife.
