Cherylea Motel

Perfect size for our family, and the it was fabulous that there was a pool and trampoline available, though we didn't really get a chance to use them. It was also very clean and well presented. Not too badly priced for a two bedroom unit. Great location, as never more than 5 minutes drive from anything we needed.

It is set up for self check in, which was fine but we still needed to call to check in, and the person at the other end of the phone didn't seem very competent. It felt like it was lacking in privacy due to the fact there is a car yard right outside the master bedroom. Despite having Sky TV, the channels available were only as good as basic tv. We were able to connect to the internet but not able to get anything to load while connected. Also the shower could do with a caddy or something so people have somewhere to put their personal items other than the shower floor. And the bin liner didn't really match the size of the bin so the bin wasn't able to be used to full capacity, and no spare liner was spotted either

Very nice studio, well equipped, airy, clean and comfortable. Fresh milk for tea and coffee. Good fridge/freezer in our family sized studio. Good TV with Sky. Good location a few minutes drive from town and food outlets.

The motel is on a busy road, but this did not disturb us. Our particular studio had a number of steps which might make access tricky for some although most units of accommodation were at ground level. Take dollar coins if you need to use the laundry.

We had a warm and comfortable stay with a good variety of tv channels for a winter night. Easy parking right outside the unit. Nice to have a couch. I thought the street traffic might be noisy but it quietened down at night.

The walls are not soundproof so it would be preferable not to put guests in adjacent apartments if not fully booked. A few hooks in the bathroom would be helpful.

Stayed in the One-Bedroom Apartment: Clean and comfortable bedding, excellent Wifi, excellent kitchen facilities, room had a terrace, SKY TV, room had a lot of space to move around in, excellent amenities, excellent air conditioning / heating, free parking 👍

No airport shuttle service provided you had to sort this out yourself, shower water pressure was below average could have been better

The gentleman that is running the motel was extremely friendly and was always available for anything we needed. Our room was so spacious with separate kitchen, especially when staying 2 nights.

Not having a teatowel and dishcloth,which was most probably the cleaner, otherwise the place was spotless. A shelf maybe in the shower to put toiletries on.

We try to stay here every time we visit Blenheim. About the room: It was well presented, with good natural light, and good ventilation. The bed is very comfortable, as are chairs. There is a dining table, small fridge with a decent size freezer, and a microwave. The bathroom is a good size and there is good water pressure in the shower. All very clean and tidy. The owners and staff are lovely friendly people. The big bonus for us is that they are pet friendly. This is $20 per night per pet. This is just like paying to have an extra person stay in your room :-) There is also a lovely swimming pool.

This wasn't the motel's fault - the neighbour's over the back fence were quite loud on Saturday night till about 11:30 pm.

The Manager was extremely patient with my ageing, autistic sister, who can be difficult and grumpy at times. The staff were very friendly and the Motel met all our needs. The grounds and driveway were very tidy and looked after. Lovely place to stay.

We were very happy ,warm and comfortable. Lovely beds and good pillows. We liked it all.

Extremely clean and tidy complex. Room was clean and fresh. Grounds were well maintained.

The bed. It was far too soft and too small for two adults (it was only a double bed for two adults, 5'7"+ and 100kg+ each). It may be a problem more with how the bed is described on this site than that of the motel. Bed configurations should be clearer (i.e. What do they mean when it says Large Bed? Is it a double, queen, king or super king?).

Lovely unit, very comfortable and clean with very good facilities on a very nice small site.

Unfortunately our unit was next door to a very noisy workman who was very loud on the phone and banging his van doors very early on the mornings which is not what you want on a holiday

The bed was comfortable and the room was quite spacious. Very quiet at night and great to be able to swim in the pool on such a hot day. Clothesline was great to get your clothes dry.

No bench space in the bathroom. No airconditioner, fan was all we had for a 35 degree day.
