Overall our stay at Devonwood was amazing and relaxing. When we first arrived my partner and I were lucky enough to score a bigger room to what we actually booked (Sml double room) and it wasn't because of any inconvenience but the lady at reception was just so so nice and offered it to us. Room was clean and had a lot of space for just 2 people. You can tell the sheets, beddings and kitchen utensils were clean. Room had a tv and sky. Motel wasn't hard to find because it's literally in the corner on Fenton road at the roundabout - so the access to the motel and out of the motel was easy if you're going either way. Could always ask reception for more info on where to visit in Rotorua, I had requested for no room service due to privacy but will leave used towels and rubbish just outside the door - the receptionist was very understanding and made sure our wet towels, face towels etc. were collected every morning. Pool was nice and warm so you can just jump in without doing feet first haha Overall the staff and our stay was amazing!! - definitely recommend this motel to people visiting Rotorua. :)

- Sky remote would work sometimes. - Shower head definitely needs replacing. - Washing machine and Dryer needs replacing (Dryer didnt dry my clothes :( )

Right on Fenton we walked to the lake front. Equipped with what motels normally have: utensils, small pot and pan, brush, dishwashing liquid. Mini fridge, microwave and mini stove. We only used the fridge. They would change the towels daily. We had a fan in the room that we used at night. For three people they assigned one of the Large Studio rooms with a king bed and a twin bed.

Devenwood Motel is a great place to stay. Rooms are lovely and beds are very comfortable . Roslyn at the reception was very nice and helpful through out our stay. She is such a lovely person very kind and easy going, Devenwood is just past the main shopping area so you don't get the noise busy areas bring., Great parking near your door. Kitchen was a good size and fridge was great. We will suggest Devenwood Motel to our friends that are planning a trip to New Zealand

The quietness and privacy we had. People just minded their own business. Peaceful & relaxing. Also the heated pool at night was so good, just like having a spa. Me and my partner got the pool to ourselves too, was so good.

The rooms were dull. Not much personality.

Location was great, really central. easy to access and nice quiet room on the back which meant minimal road noise overnight.

If there was any complaint I guess would be an odd odour in the entrance corridor, this wasrelatively minor and not in our room though.

Receptionist was lovely and friendly, room was a decent sized room although the kitchen area is right by the door which is kind of inconvenient if someone is using it and you're walking in and out. Generous sized bathroom, access to a big outdoor area to relax with picnic tables available.

The motel is situated on a corner of a main road so had a few noisy boy racers with their stereos pumping going past. No tea towel or dishcloth provided. Mould on the bathroom ceiling.

I like the fact that u could have visitors until a certain time. And the heated pool

The jets on the spa bath needed cleaning. And cooking facilities could be a little better. As it was quite smokey wen in use. Otherwise genuinely good

The service was good and they were very friendly and always asking if we were OK... And just made it enjoyable

Nothing really that I didn't like, maybe change the tea and coffee as they were very weak in taste... But other then that everything was fine..

location was great, staff were fantastic and friendly.

needed to have air con in rooms, a small fan does not make a difference when temperatures are 30 degrees outside, same with outside pool needs to be cooler on hot days. Rooms need upgrading with bedding king single beds for adults, using a fitted sheet for a valance makes it look cheap.

Nice clean room, good facilities on site. Good location just a little outside the centre of Rotorua.

Could do with outside being cleaned it was a bit grubby on the outside of doors and windows.
