The location of this lodge was fabulous, so close to everything we needed. The breakfast included in our stay was awesome. The cooked scrabbled eggs and corn fritters we’re really tasty. The hot tub spa was so good for our sore muscles after snowboarding all day.. we loved the beauty of this lodge, including the garden areas and tv room to explore the attractions wall brochures and books.

Not much really everything we needed for a great stay. Only the bed mattress we would of liked to be a bit harder. Glad I found more pillows and another blanket in cupboard. Maybe the mattresses needs an update for a more dreamy sleep. 😁 A shuttle bus service up the mountain would of been a bonus if they had one running everyday in wanaka. We hired a car . More costs for us.

The property was good and some what comfortable

The accommodations didn’t look like the photos in the booking. Our room was on the roadside and we heard cars going by all night. In the morning we were woken up by a motorcycle backfiring as it came down the hill in front of the hotel. There was only one light on the side tables next to the bed. The hot tub we used was very chlorinated with chemicals and again didn’t look like the photos in the booking. The parking was very tight. I feel we got the worst room in the hotel. So it’s hard to compare what other people experienced. We only stayed for one night. Wanamaker is a lovely town.

Location, parking, staff and everything else was fantastic, water pressure was great, had hot water run out one time but could have just been peak usage as it was as people must have been getting back from skiing.

Only problem was the road noise as we had the room directly above the road, unsure what else could be done about this and probably just us being sensitive as we live rurally so aren't used to that much noise. Other rooms are lower and have bush around them so seriously doubt this would have been a problem in any other room of the lodge.

The breakfast that was included in our room rate was amazing. Each resident had their own breakfast cooked as they arrived in the dining room Day 1 was scrambled eggs and bacon and day 2 was eggs benedict with smoked salmon. Cereal, fruit, juice, yoghurt and great coffee were also provided, with free coffee and tea available all day. All rooms also have a balcony (with roof) with table and chairs. The room we had was exceptionally clean.

We had 2 beds in our room and that took up most of the space.

I know I’m starting to sound like a broken record but all various accommodations we’ve stayed in on our Kiwi trip have been lovely and amazing. Te Wanaka Lodge is no exception. The room was great, water pressure fabulous, shampoos and cleansers plentiful and the service to the room not invasive. The breakfast staff, namely Cole, was a great cook, funny and welcoming. all of the staff we were in contact with were friendly, ready to answer questions and lovely. We would not hesitate to revisit in the future. simply loved the town and accommodations.

nothing negative.

Amazing location in Wanaka, staff were lovely and accommodating making us feel at home right away. Room was clean and spacious with a mountain view. Great water pressure in the bathroo Breakfast was fantastic, with a varied range of selections. At night the fireplace was always on giving a cozy winter vibe and could help ourselves to tea and coffees as we liked which was appreciated. Hot tub was perfect after a long day. Staff gave great options for us despite not having a car and we will definitely be recommending this place to others.

This is nit picking but the full body mirror in our room was very warped and made us looks deformed ( much shorter and stogie) otherwise nothing

Nearly smack dab in the middle of town, walking distance to everything. I was greeted with a guided tour of the property, and walked directly to our room. To be absolutely surprised with how homely the room felt with high vaulted ceilings warm lighting, plenty of storage for two. Private lounge for guests, shared kitchen and Breakfast included with our booking. we came away from this stay happy chaps!

Ambient lighting around walkways at night was minimal and due to it raining it was a tad slippery.

Room was very nice with our own private little balcony. There was tea in the afternoon and the two breakfasts we had were very complete-eggs and salmon the first day, eggs benedict the next. We used the spa/jacuzzi on both days and it was great, especially after long hikes in the area. The location was really central too.

Nothing. Facilities were very accessible and pleasing and staff were very friendly.

Was within walking distance of the town centre and lake. It was nice to have a sitting area for in the evening where you could also have a cup of tea. There was also a nice little garden where you could sit outside and a bubble bath you could reserve. Parking was limited but the public parking was very close with a small gate to the property.

Nothing.

My friend and I were in the Garden Cottage. It was a really lovely rustic styled room. Very peaceful, and we had the best sleeps ever. The pillows and bed were so comfortable. Every morning we looked forward to our fabulous complimentary breakfast, cooked for us by our very hospitable host :-) To start was a fully stocked continental breakfast also. A short stroll to the main road shops, cafe, bars, and beach was a huge bonus. Would definitely recommend Te Wananka Lodge. A fabulous stay.

That we had to leave..haha. The only thing we can think of, is that the guest dressing gowns could do with an update. Everything else was great.
