It is an absolutely amazing hotel! It’s so unique, modern, and has amazing vibes. Rooms are big, beds are super comfy, staff members are welcoming, helpful and just adorable. I loved everything about this place!

Great staff at the front desk and an interesting concept. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Great for families.

The staff at the rooftop bar were rude and unaccommodating when they didn't know how to make a simple coffee beverage, that was explained to them (popularly known as a macchiato or noisette). Instead of listening to instructions, I received a espresso after which I was told that such a beverage does not exist in Portugal and then the bartenders turned their backs to me. Also, the fact that the room did not have a television was a little strange. A little bit too political with some of the messaging - we found that unnecessary.

The place is hip, modern, clean and well set up. Visiting the rooftop bar is a must, since it’s trendy and chill place to be, including a pool with a view, coctail bar with some local craft beers and a pingpong table for the not so relaxed types. If you’re looking to go clubbing you are in walking distance. The parking is public and we’ve had no issues with it, even though we couldn’t set up the app and registration. When we arrived there was a bit of a language barrier, but as an experienced traveller you eventually learn to wait it out and communicate less to get better results. So all in all we were coming in late (half past 11 pm) and the clerk was really friendly and tried to set everything up. There was some issues to get the unincluded breakfast (wasnt available on booking at the time of our reservation) so since we were tired, we asked to do this in the morning at checkout. The rooms are an ingenious industrial design with bunk beds as safe as it can be, because your kid can close themselfes with sliding doors, so no worries. The kids loved the design and festures, plus the pingpong in the rooftop bar, not to mention alcohol-free fruit coctails.

We stayed two nights in the same week, we just stayed one night inbetween in Porto, but each time we came to JAM, somehow the clerks first had the idea, we did not have a reservation, but by being an experienced traveller I just laughed and things were sorted instantly by the very polite staff.

I love the architecture, the interior is colorful, the space is open with tall ceilings. I love the concrete walls and ceilings and the cork flooring. The bathroom is also great and there are so many little shelves next to the bed to store your belongings. We had a car so staying outside of the city center with a car was convenient as parking was easy. Love the rooftop view, the pool and the deck on the rooftop.

A screen for the windows would have been nice, there were mosquitoes, not a lot but enough to make you itchy.

Concierge was wonderful. Nicole was especially helpful and kind, always smiling and very knowledgeable. We arrived much earlier than our check in time but was great that we could keep our bags in the luggage storage and go exploring. Complimentary coffee was very thoughtful. We loved the rooftop bar and relaxing vibe. Our boys really enjoyed the pool. Would definitely stay again.

Pity that the hotel restaurant wasn’t open during our stay, but there are many restaurants a short walk away so not a big issue.

The hotel is new and facilities are excellent. Loved the sparkling clean room with new linen, funky interior and spacious bathroom. Spectacular rooftop bar and swimming pool which gives a great view of the river and harbour area. Very well positioned with a 1.6km walk to the Pink Street action. Helpful, friendly staff.

I was expecting free hotel parking, however we had to park on the street and pay a daily rate. There was however, ample street parking outside the hotel - just make sure you have coins to pay for it!

Bedrooms super comfy and funky- speaker was a really cool addition. Brilliant location, close enough to the centre but far enough away from the hustle and bustle. Staff were incredible- really accommodating. Breakfast was good value for money.

Pool quite busy with little space to sunbathe. Socials appear to be quite adults only however lots of children occupying the pool at our time of stay- not a problem if not bothered by this.

A great experience all round, everyone went above and beyond to make us feel so at ease. They didn't conform to ordinary hotel rules and made it their mission to keep my young children and I comfortable at all times.

Will treasure the late night mission to rescue a candy sweet from the depths of despair making my 3 and 5 year old boys night not end in disaster!
