Hotel Dighton

Staff Attentiveness was very good. Jorge on reception could not do enough for me. I asked for a kettle for the room and he provided me with one, and called the restaurant to organise a cup, saucer and spoon for me so I could have drinks in my room. The bed was very comfortable and was exceptionally large! I have never seen a bed so big!! The room was cleaned every day, with the option of having fresh towels everyday too. The included breakfast was enough to set me up for the day, bacon, sausage & scrambled eggs being on offer with fresh bread bread & Croissants. A selection of meats and cheese along with Tea, Coffee and juices were also available. Evening meals were a delight in the restaurant, with the staff being very helpful and understanding of a none Portugese speaker. The Wi-Fi in the room was very good, I was able to do my work and watch some Disney + with no buffering or drop outs. Overall extremely happy with my visit, I will be back in a few weeks. The hotel will be used by my colleagues for future visits to our customer in Portugal.

There weren't any tea/coffee making facilities in the room, but a kettle was provided to me by reception. I am not a drinker so the minbar, whilst well stocked, did not meet my needs.

I've been to more than two hundred hotels, in several countries, including some 5 star hotels, but this is the first time I give a 10 in all categories because it was the first time I felt like at home. The hotel is a few years old, but is in very good condition. The room is big, the bed is huge and the mattress is perfect. Breakfast is excellent in quality and quantity. Scrambled eggs, fresh cheese, sliced ​​cheese and ham, plain bread, wholemeal bread and "padinhas" that reminded me of my childhood :) . Butter, watermelon and melon, croissants, cold milk, coffee, hot milk, cappuccino, etc. I forgot about the delicious sponge cake(pão-de-ló) , divine. It also has a delicious natural orange juice. Anyway, an exceptional breakfast. From the first to the last day I was excellently attended by all the staff, the reception staff, the breakfast room staff, and the ladies who clean the rooms. There is also free parking in front of the hotel and if these places are already occupied, you can park in the underground car park under the hotel. The only thing that isn't great is the free Wi-Fi because although it never failed, it was sometimes a little slow. I recommend improving if possible, but this is acceptable. The right grade for the Wi-Fi would be an 8 however I gave a 10 as it would be unfair for a minor thing to affect the final grade. The hotel also has an excellent restaurant that works in the same breakfast room and prepares high quality dishes for a fair price. This Hotel is highly recommended. I will be back for sure. The best service I met since I arrive Europe at May 25. hotel stuff bring me to hotel with a chair because my joint hurt. And help me to bought a ankle brace and sent ice with a plastic bag twice per day .and take care about my breakfast!

everything was perfect. the staff were really nice and helpful. the room was very clean, comfortable, and quiet. The quality of the food at the restaurant was amazing, especially the way they cook grilled chicken.

The hotel is in the center of the city with paarking place. The room is wide and has entire carpet The bed is very large 2x2 m and really comfortable The bathroom is wide and has bathtube

It is 4 stars hotel with large, comfy, double rooms. Very polite and understanding staff. Excellent prices for such a quality.

Nothing wrong with the hotel, but the city is quite boring at night and not many restaurants are open. However, it is a good location to reach the beach in 20 min driving.

It was really nice family room. I was surprised as I booked room for 2 adults and 1 child (7-years old) and we got 2-room apartment. Really good surprise. The rooms were roomy and clean.

Breakfast was quite modest. Some bread and some fruits. Maybe I didn't notice the choises but as I am dairy-intolerant I didn't find anything more to eat than 1 bun and a little bit fruit. Wifi didn't work - really weak signal and it fell down all the time.

Breakfast average, Portugal has such good coffee normally so it was disappointing to have pre made coffee in a flask which was not good quality. There appeared to be limited choice for breakfast, this might be because of the situation at the moment. We are used to staying in hotels and for us breakfast is very important for the rest of the day. So in comparison to our other experiences the rating has to be average.

The car park is impossible, resulted in a damaged car whilst trying to park between the pillars and very tight turning space. As someone who has arthritis claiming into a bath to shower is not the best, walk in showers are definatly the best. That the beautiful resturant advertised is only available for big parties.

The pillows were sooooooo comfy, the bed was huge and comfortable. The location was good, close to Ovar, Aveiro. The Lourosa zoo was great to visit, many birds and ducks, soo cute. Unfortunately, the breakfast was not the best, good but a bit small and some tables were reserved for lunch. The staff in the lobby was very nice.

Very clean, everyone was incredibly nice and thoughtful. Very comfortable bed and lovely facilities. Wait until you try the breakfast croissaints!
