Staff very friendly and helpful, nice breakfast, decent location near metro and shops.

The room was nice and spacious but was kind of bare and basic. A very small TV for how big the room was, no pictures, everything white and sparse. The shower was good but the cubicle was small with not much room to move around in. The beds were decent, the hotel was generally quiet but any noise in the hallway at all and you heard it. A decent stay, the room could definitely be cosier and nicer but the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff made up for these slight negatives.

Loved the service--Jose was there all the days we were there, and he managed breakfast, concierge duties, front desk, handed me an umbrella when it was raining to borrow for the day, EVERYTHING we needed, including a friendly smile all the time, and a welcoming glass of port upon arrival! He had an answer to every question, recommended two great restaurants, and we looked forward to seeing him in the morning and when we returned. The old building has been nicely restored and remodeled, and our room had an adorable balcony overlooking the back garden. The bathroom was new and although small, had a great shelf under the small sink to store our stuff. The breakfast room was bright and light and appealing, with a lovely breakfast, including a Nespresso coffee maker.

I understand it is hard to squeeze things into an old building, but the shower was very small, and I had to squeeze in--not a problem for me, but for larger persons, it could be a problem. Also, the bed was too firm for me (personal taste), and the only way I could make breakfast better was to add hard cooked eggs--I need protein in the morning, but what they had was delicious.

Excellent Reception staff Mateus, who was extremely helpful an suggested eating,tourist places etc closeby. Good breakfast for 10€. Good clean rooms, with toiletries and daily cleaning if required. But no lift. Great location 5m from Bolhao metro which connects to airport, and the shopping/ eating street is 2mins away, as well as 10-12mins from the funiccular. Had a good stay. Highly recommended.

They should provide a tea/ coffee maker in the room.

Staff is exceptional in their efforts to attend to our needs -- particularly Maria and Luis at the front desk.The garden is very pleasant. And location is unbeatable for Porto: just far enough from the large tourist crowds but close enough to reach all major attractions by foot. The quality/price ratio is also very favorable.

There's no elevator, but a beautiful stairway -- which was not a problem for us but may not be suitable to certain persons or those with huge pieces of luggage.

*Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. *Airport shuttle service available for 25€. *Quiet for a city hotel. *Basics were all present and correct. *Within walking distance of most sites and necessities.

*Shuttle service was an hour late to pick me up. *Bed was a little too firm for a side sleeper (superb for a back sleeper). *Very basic room for the price.

This was a surprisingly quaint, yet delightful place to stay in the city, just steps from a main square with plenty of delicious places to eat. Upon arrival we were treated to a wonderful complimentary glass of port wine that was enjoyed on the patio. Though we had an early departure & had to miss out, there was a fantastic breakfast room with plenty to offer.

We made it our first stop on the Camino Portugues. It took us longer than expected but they were ready for us. Staff was helpful and friendly. Clean and beautiful hotel. Great breakfast.

Some street noise. Could hear people in the hallway leaving early in the morning -but not much they can do about that.

Lovely stay in this hotel, staff very friendly and room was immaculate, perfectly located short walk to the station and the central town, would stay here again

Would have scored a 10 if the room had a fridge and tea/coffee making facilities other than that hotel was amazing

Stayed one night before stating Portuguese Camino (took tram out to the coast and started from there - tram is 15 minute walk from the hotel). Lovely clean hotel with comfortable beds and helpful staff. Enjoyed the glass of port after settling in. Restaurants nearby and a short walk to the Cathedral and old down by the river. Good value

It's not on a beautiful street but then that wasn't important to us.

Very good location, the hotel was clean, the staff was very polite, the reception is working 24 hours

The door of the bathroom is not closing well, there is no sound protection, however we had an understanding because the building is old and there is no other possible solution
