Hotel Miramar Badalona

Very clean, veeery good location and very nice personnel! The hotel is right next to the beach so you can leave your stuff in the hotel room and in less than 2 minutes you’re on the beach :) The room was also very nice and clean with air conditioning. The staff are very helpful and nice and the front desk is staffed 24h. Overall if your main part of the trip is Barcelona, as was ours, this is a good location because not only is it cheaper but also has a great location right on the beach! It is around 30-40 minutes from the center of Barcelona by public transport, however even with the travel time it’s definitely worth it staying here

-Located 30 seconds walk from a beautiful sandy beach with clear blue sea. -On a pleasant boulevard with good lighting at night. -Was still warm and sunny in November. -Vibrant local streets with the usual array of shops, restaurants and cafes. -Clean and comfortable room with private shower. -Friendly reception staff -Journey to central Barcelona was acceptable given the cheaper price and seaside location 15 min walk to metro + 20 min journey to Sagrada Familia or 10 min walk to train station and 20 min journey to Catalunya. -Late checkout: 11am -Cheaper than Barcelona

-Lift is small, only accepts one person. This is fine for a single traveller though -Rear room had uninspiring view of building wall.

Hotel Miramar is a smallish hotel; close to Badalona train station. easy access to and from Barcelona airport. Barcelona is only a 30mins or even shorter train ride. The room was clean; the bed comfortable; the shower excellent. Fridge and television were in the room. wifi was good. The staff was amazing; friendly and very accommodating. I decided to stay an extra night and the lady even changed some bookings around so I didn’t have to move room. There is only a train line between the hotel and the beach- underpass is just outside the hotel. some rooms have sea views ; some don’t so make sure you book one with a sea view if that’s what you are looking for. the lift is old style one but I loved it. Highly recommended Hotel Miramar Badalona.

I personally didn’t have any issues with the property however I am aware that some people like accommodations with breakfast and dining facilities. this hotel doesn’t offer these BUT! there are several cafes/bars/restaurants just a few steps away. Literally.

Literally 3min walk to the beach. All facilities at walking distance, within 10min walk you have bars, restaurants, metro and train easy into Barcelona, bakeries, shops everything. You could not be better placed in Badalona, super friendly staff and the guys at reception were superb. They went above and beyond giving information and always with a big smile, truly nice people. The room was super clean and spacious, nice Aircon, very good shower and even a little fridge.

The only downside I can think of was the noise, we could hear any noise in the corridors and even people talking in the room beside if they are loud (can't understand the conversation but you hear the voices). The noise insulation should be improved in the place, everything else was great.

Room with a balcony. Beautiful view of the sea and palm trees and the promenade. A very large room. Very nice lady at the reception and very helpful. We got tips on how to get to Barcelona as cheaply as possible. She was available all the time, ordered us a taxi at night to the airport. Thank you and we will come back here again. Great location and homely family atmosphere in this hotel. We greet and recommend the hotel wholeheartedly:) (Very comfortable bed!, Close to the subway, close to restaurants, central location.

The location is perfect, you get the nice beach that is not overcrowded by the Barcelona tourist and is a jump from city center. the rooms are cozy and cleaned really well. I love that they kept the hotel cozy and charming with the old school elevator. And very familiar. The personal is a very nice family and how can I put this… I felt like I was home! Can it get better then this? Don’t think so. It’s not a modern hotel, is cozy perfectly located, really great personal, and cleaned rooms! This is my second year in this hotel and I couldn’t be happier. If you need somewhere to really relax, quiet, calm tempo, not like the grandiosity of giant hotels and it’s guests, in a beautiful town, and close to city center in one of the biggest city’s in the world… This is your place. You have everything you need here. AND DONT FORGET… Barcelona street’s are not safe! BUT BADALONA IS! This is luxury very very close to a big city center. PS. Don’t wait to book your room, in the summer is almost impossible to get a room there. they have people booking a year in advance to be able to be at that hotel! so, don’t wait 😉

Nothing actually… I loved everything. The hotel is always full. hard to get a room in the summer.

i thoughts the staff was super friendly. the follow travelers also . we had a nice little chat when checking in. The location is not to beat. I have come to visit barcelona for years now and I never was able to get any sleep or relax due to loud music and pot smoking and tourists but badalona is my new treasure and I will come again and again to this haven of peace. I loved strolling by the sea and restaurants and shops near by and they have parking and just perfect overall.

smell when opening the windows but a bit like stale water but this happens in the best of places including my house at times so it would not turn me off to come back

The staff was incredibly nice, it was no issue for me to check in late and i could leave my backpack safely with them for the day even after i checked out and didn't have to worry about my stuff while exploring barcelona before catching my ferry. They helped me find the best way to get to the ferry as well and it was no issue that I don't speak spanish at all and only understand English or my native language. The Hotel is situated basically directly by the beach(only the train tracks in between) and even though the trains pass by there frequently you can't really hear them from the rooms, at least not where i stayed. Everything was very clean and nice.

The shower pressure wasn't that good but it was bearable. The rooms only have a trashcan in the bathroom.

The staff was super friendly and provided good advice. I liked the room which had been recently renovated and had air-conditioning. The location and price were very good too.

The bed could have been more comfortable as both the mattress and pillow were not optimal. A second pillow would have helped. A breakfast option in the hotel would have been appreciated. Luckily, there was a cheap and friendly option around the corner.

You won't find a better location for the perfect holiday. On the seafront, 1 minute walk to the beach & in the middle of the main strip of restaurants and bars. All the staff are super friendly and always available for your every need, this is our 2nd visit & we've already booked again for 2023, that says it all ! Thank you to Marta and all the staff for making our holiday absolutely perfect, see you next year Mr & Mrs Shadbolt

The only thing I didn't like was saying goodbye ! We will be back though
