Catalonia Park Güell

i liked everything but i think it would be fair to everyone if hotel made a remark in booking that it is a hub for refugees. i would probably still book it but this type of information should not be a surprise to visitors.

The hotel has a restaurant that is open until 11 pm and the food is great. We didn't get a chance to use the pool, so I can't comment on that. Breakfast was great. There is a lot of variety for only $12 if you are staying for more than one night and selecting the breakfast at the hotel. I suggest doing that since there aren't many options around the hotel. The staff at the breakfast restaurant is very friendly and mainly the gentleman who receives you at the door. I can't remember his name. He was very nice and even gave us some tips. There is a small supermarket just a few steps from the hotel. Park Güel is relatively close, but there are a few hills to get to it. You can take a taxy (like we did) or take the metro. Metro station is close to the hotel.

Staff were friendly and the rooms were decent. The area around the location is quiet. The rooftop is lovely even though it closes quite early.

The rooms were a little tight, the views from the room window were not very impressive, not very much sunlight either in my room. There was a family on my floor with a dog and the dog barked loudly all night. The location is stated as Gracia which technically is within the district of Gracia, but it is not the Gracia you expect and imagine, this is a little outside of the main area of Gracia and kind of on the outskirts of the city. Location is ok but I prefer staying closer to the city center.

Room was lovely for the two of us. Bathroom was also a great size and not too small. It also had misted glass so you couldnt see in. Location is near park guell and very close to a metro system so easy to get around. Staff also were lovely and spoke english well so was easy to communicate. Would highly recommend!!

Some of the neighbouring rooms were a little loud and would slam doors in the early hours of the morning however you cant help when you go on holiday and we went in summer holiday times so was expected

At start we got the room with twin bad, on the street, with bars on the window, but second night they moved us to a decent room on the fifth floor. There are metro and bus station near buy. Also there where supermarket and excelent bakery. Very nice neighborhood. After checkout we left our lugage in the reception and they kept it safe until we came for it in the late afternoon. The staff was very nice to us.

If you prefer a quiet place, then this is the right accommodation for you. Metro buses are very accessible to travel to the city/beach. There is a nice cafe nearby for breakfast - a selection of pastries. You should also visit L'obrador... I had to upgrade to premium to get a mini-fridge, kettle and a bottle of water per day. You definitely need these in the summer!

Not enough restaurants within the area. Breakfast is too pricey for the selection of food available. Some guests were too noisy around 2-4 am.

The staff were very nice. We arrived very early in the morning and although our room wasn't ready we were able to get changed and leave our bags at reception so we could go get breakfast etc. We came back well before check in time, however, since our room was now ready the staff had already take our bags to the room and we were allowed to check in early. This was great after a long flight. Our room was relatively small but was comfortable. There wasn't a desk in the room but we were able to work from the bar area in the main lobby which was nice and quiet during the day. The outlook from our room was very pleasant. The location is in a nice quiet area close to some nice cafes etc. Also very close to the metro and there is a bus that stops about 100m away that takes you directly into the main part of Barcelona and also to Gaudi Park. There is a small pool on the roof which my husband enjoyed - it was very hot in Barcelona in August.

We loved that we were close to a supermarket and close to take transit. They were accommodating with the rooms and the beds were comfy even if they were twin sized.

No fridge in room and we ended up finding a small cockroach on the floor. Also, if you put the do not disturb sign the cleaning attendants will leave a note to ask you when they should come to clean the room. This happens every time you leave the do not disturb sign which was annoying bc we didn't want them in the room at all.

A great place to stay in Barcelona - the hotel is a bit outside of the busier city center and therefore car noises were no issue at night. At the same time, it just takes a quick Metro ride to go to the center. The pool was nice and cold - super refreshing on a hot day! It is a bit smaller than we thought but it is, as said, a great place to relax away from the busy beaches and get a tan. When we were there, there were always enough sunbeds for all poolgoers. The staff was super friendly in all interactions we had with them and the room was very clean.

The walls are a bit thin so you can hear some noise from outside the room - we had earplugs so it was absolutely no problems for us - just remember to pack them!
