Sonder La Casa del Sol

The location was incredible, you’re in the heart of a busy plaza and there’s so many great places to eat within walking distance. The metro station is a short walk away on a very convenient line. The rooftop bar was a nice chill place to have a beer before going out. The room was clean and nice and simply laid out.

when I booked the place the pond was advertised as a pool, it would have been nice to know that it wasn’t a pool as we did want somewhere to cool off from the intense August heat.

Great stay! Good comunication from the staff also the girl who attended us on our check in was super kind and professional, the hotel room was a good size ,very basic but quite modern.

The only disappointment was that the terrace was constantly closed for the weekend we were there that or that no one was at the terrace bar to serve us , and on the other hand we were being woken up every morning 8 AM from a lot of noise made by the cleaning lady who was banging out loudly on the floor the vacuum cleaner and the doors from 8 AM ,we are not against her doin her work but she could conisder that it is a hotel where people are resting at that time of the morning and its unpleasant to be woken up by all this noise

Sonder properties are really comfortable and stylish. Location was great. Extremely quiet room with windows closed. (Good soundproofing for being so close to Placa del Sol.) Staff was friendly and helpful. Room/lobby was clean and stylish. Good value. Would definitely stay here again.

Was not a fan of the key codes entry system in place of key cards. Would prefer a RFID card to get into property/lobby/room. Would have also liked to have a simple lounging chair in the room for relaxing after a long day of walking. Our room only had a simple desk chair. Lastly, Sonder sent far too many emails between the time of the booking and check-in.

-located in cool part of the city -Gracia, surrounded by plenty small local shops, cafes and restaurants -despite of number of bars and restaurants still calm and quiet -close to bus and metro station -nice rooftop terrace with a city view -rooms were cleaned everyday -modern and minimalistic design of the property -helpful staff

-lack of fridge in the room -not enough space for storing clothes, room equipped with only one rack where you can hang more clothes, missing small wardrobe or at least more shelves

The hotel is located in an really cool area, easy to reach by public transport from the airport. My room was good size and very quiet in spite of being close to busy nightlife streets.

As previous reviewers have mentioned, this hotel is fully virtual - there is no reception or staff on premises. You can generally get in touch with someone very quickly via their app or Whatsapp. I messaged the team a couple a days in advance to ask for early check-in as my flight time had been changed and they were very kind to accommodate it. The only issue was that while the room was ready, the code to open the front gate to the building hadn't been activated for me, so I couldn't get in. I was able to solve it within 10 mins via Whatsapp - just make sure you have enough phone battery and internet connection before you get there.

Very nice hotel in an ideal location. I had a situation where two t-shirts got lost (left them on the terrace of the building through the night). The hotel stuff was extremely supportive to try to find them & in the end game me a refund for the lost items. This was a great reaction to this unfortunate incident, special thanks to Pablo who managed the situation!

Downside is that there is no reception, self-check in has to be performed and communication through the hotel's app for all questions that might come up.

Superb location in the middle of Gracia area. close to anything you need to experience Barcelona like a true local Rooms look good and bathrooms are good as well Nice balcony and view and sound isolating wondows Aircon works good Room cleaning is efficient

a bit of sound leak from the hallway room maintenance could be higher And room design is a bit outdated and lacks some more unique style Also - the fact that there is no front desk is ok, but its probably not for anyone. Only consider if you are tech-friendly

In the heart of Gracia. Best neighbourhood in Barcelona. Close to shops and Placa, everything was clean and the staff were so friendly and helpful. The restaurant and roof top bar, great food drinks and vibe…And no keys. Loved it. My Spanish not so good, the staff had strong English with that beautiful Spanish accent. ❤️

Room Location Clean

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY - THEY ARE ARE SCAMMERS I was charged double for the booking. Paid via booking.com prior to the stay. On arrival, the hotel had not received the booking/payment. Had to pay again (which they over charged for). During the stay and after the stay I have been in contact with booking.com/Sonder customer support/ credit card company to sort out the double payment. I have proved to Sonder support via credit card statements that I have been charged twice and It lies in the hands of Sonder to make a refund. No response from Customer support. This has caused me extreme stress and ruined my holiday. It has been a month now and still nothing from Sondar. So DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY - THEY ARE ARE SCAMMERS

Epic location, really well lit room (totally made my day!). The staff was very kind and helped with questions and requests. Rooms were cleaned on daily basis, and very clean overall.

double bed is actually twin bed x) This is also the only detail that stood out.
