Atenea Rekord Suites

The location was great. Just in front of Metro station, or approx 25 min by walk to Placa de Catalunya. The room and bathroom were spacious. At the arrival, we got a room in a basement and asked to exchange it to a floor up and the staff fullfilled our request without any extra charge.

We have been explained that A/C works now only for heating, no cooling, because of weather in May, which wasn’t enough warm. We tried to sleep with open window, but it waa to noisy. It was pretty hot and lack of air without A/C.

Clean room, comfy and big bed, tasty breakfast, very good wi-fi, one of the few places I've been where the shower cabin isn't leaking into the bathroom!

You can hear everything through the walls and our room(103) was next to reception.

Hotel is located in nice residential area - we were there during Easter holidays so Barcelona was less crowded than usual - streets were unusually quiet so I cannot tell if you can hear the traffic in usual circumstances. Room is large, clean and well maintained. Hotel offers breakfast, but we did not use it. There is a grocery shop just around the corner, bakery across the street and a garage in the next street (pricy though but if you cannot find a place on the street it is an solution). Metro station is some 2 minutes walk from the hotel. You can reach some touristic spots (Casa Mila) on foot but it is some 20 min stroll.

Door lock was broken and it was not possible to lock the room from inside - not a big deal as hotel is safe and entrance is monitored 24h.

This hotel was the definition of comfort and cleanliness. The staff welcomed us with a smile on their face, and clear instructions as to where our room is etc. The room was equipped with way more "tools" than was anticipated, our favourite was the organic toothpaste! The bathroom itself as well, was spotless and spacious, with two mirrors and a large shower, with shower gel and shampoo available. The bed was extreeemely comfortable and it was very difficult to get up in the morning because one could sleep in it all day! We did not have breakfast at this hotel however the room included a coffee machine, condensed milk and some delicious herbal tea - this also contributed to a great morning in Barcelona. The location of the hotel was pretty good itself too, about 3 stops from the central Placa de Catalunya - the name of the metro stop was Muntaner (with the Sabadell Parc del Nord Line). Overal this hotel deserves a solid 11/10!

the staff were incredibly friendly! we felt really safe going out late at night and coming back to see someone at the reception desk, they were also really helpful with getting taxis for us too. hotel was right next to the train station and a short walk to a bus stop so perfect for us when we used public transport. house cleaning was lovely and the breakfast was yum. we all really enjoyed our stay

one of the bathroom doors in one of our rooms was really loud to open and close so disturbed other people in the room when one of us used the loo in the middle of the night. we were also disappointed we couldn’t get netflix/disney plus on the tv and struggled to get the bluetooth working at first.

Spacious room for a 5 night stay. All amenities provided in the room like toiletries, bathrobe, slippers, tea, coffee. 24x7 front desk helped arrange a taxi to the airport in the middle of the night. Big spread of breakfast included all assorted fruits, breads, pastries, 1 egg dish and 1 meat dish. Best part it is located right opposite to a metro station which was very convenient to travel to the city centre in just 3 stops.

The hotel is well located and well maintained. The room was very spacious and had everything I needed, including mini fridge and even a small living room. The breakfast was very okay and the staff was super nice along my staying. I can only recommend this place.

Nothing really. I only stayed for 3 days but it was all very good.

firstly the room was huge! air con and heating if needed, nespresso coffee maker, fridge, huge shower and bed was massive and cosy second the location was perfect, a few steps away from the tube that takes you to the center

no “breakfast” tea bags (like pg tips - typical english person haha!)

Friendly staff and good value for money. The bed was super comfortable.

The AC was blowing cold air the whole time and it was so cold in the room when we arrived late night that was extremely uncomfortable to sleep. We tried to switch to hot air but apparently during the summer there’s no hot air, so we were freezing cold.

New rooms. Very big. Nespresso machine in the rooms. Excellent shower. Very comfortable beds.

Noise !!! As the building seems to be old - there is no noise isolation. You can hear all the above/below/near rooms very loud. All chairs move and talk, , water going down - all can be heard very loud.
