Hotel Paxton Barcelona

very wonderful and new generation hotel with high tech design . very good breakfast . hotel provider early check in and I appreciated for it.

hotel is taking deposit and I think it’s not a friendly relationship, on my opinion. slippers were not provided and were given on request . I requested to refill us with coffee capsules and it was done , but instead of 2 PCs ( what’s free of charge ) they gave me 4 and charge me on departure with 2 euro ;) it’s nothing of course and probably a misunderstanding. the soap in a room is a Ritual , but instead of a bathroom gel there was a water mixed with a current gel. it’s was replaced as per my request.

- Breakfast was splendid, there is enough variety for everyone's needs/wants. - The entire staff was superfriendly, from the frontdesk to the cleaners, they always greet you with a smile. - The room itself was spacious enough, everything is new and very hygienic. Very stylish rooms, the bed was lovely! - Location was great, a 10 minute walk to the beach and a 2-3 min walk to the nearest subway station. Also close to Rambla Poblenou, a cozy street with a lot of tapas restaurants. - There was a little mix-up in the morning, which during the day i already forgot about. When i came back to the hotel, the manager Jose offered a really great solution (didn't saw that coming). Loved the delicious crispy ravioli from the restaurant! Thanks again :) Room 325

Lovely staff - throughout the hotel - cleaning staff, reception, pool and bar staff. Great size rooms. Good value bar. Comfy bed.

Underground parking is a plus if you come to Barcelona by car. Close to metro station. Few minutes away from the beach. The staff makes an effort to change breakfast even a little every day. All in all - great place I can recommend to anyone.

Incredibly nice and helpful staff. Great first floor space for working on a computer or small meetings. Fitness room and pool area were clean and had great vibes.

Wifi signal in my room was so poor it was unusable. I was able to unplug the ethernet cable from the TV and use that for wired internet, but that's a pretty weird hack I suspect would not work for many. The interior design of the room was super nice, but almost so much so it felt like they had made compromises. For instance there was no place to hang up a towel and the super modern shower actually leaked onto the bathroom floor somewhat. If they could fix those things, this hotel would be a 10/10 for me.

The staff were very helpful and polite. All the cleaning staff said ola or good morning to you as they passed in the corridor. A couple of them cleaned our room and put in fresh linen in minutes when we asked when we returned early and our room had not been serviced. Overall we really enjoyed our stay.

At times it was a little noisy. For the quality of the hotel I was surprised to be able to hear our neighbours shower and toilet and our neighbours at night! This probably goes back to the build design and no reflection on the current staff. Loved the big shower but it was slippy underfoot when you went in second. Splashing from the shower onto the tiles beyond the glass screen was also something to be aware of. A kettle would also be good not just the coffee machine.

The hotel was a perfect place to stay for our anniversary. The personnel met us with fantastic news about the free upgrade of our standard room to the best room they had on the occasion of our anniversary. The next day we received a greeting and a coupon for free drinks. It was so sweet, and we felt special. Guests feel good the moment they enter the hotel - they are met with a pleasant aroma, fresh air, light music, a stylish interior, and nice personnel. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are cleaned daily. There is a coffee machine and a minibar in the room. The bathrooms are unexpectedly rather open with no doors in the shower but for a couple, it should not be a problem. The pool is rather small for swimming but can be a nice place to have a glass of cava or wine with a partner or friends. We could not imagine a better variety of food for breakfast. Worth every euro spent on them. The Bogatel and Mar Bella beaches are 10 min walk to the south from the hotel. To the north, it will take you a 10 min walk to get to a modern shopping center and Torre Agbar. If you like strolls together, the Gothic district and Sagrada Familia are within walking distance from the hotel. If not, the underground station is some minutes away from the hotel and a bus stop is just next to it.

The menu was rather limited for lunches and dinners. For a stay longer than 2 days one may find it too boring to have everyday meals in the hotel. However, for 1 or 2 days you can find some delicious dishes to enjoy. Otherwise, you have a great variety of cafes and restaurants just some 100m away from the hotel on El Poblenou.

Everything! Rooftop pool was small, but nice and relaxed vibe with attentive staff. Front desk staff were accommodating (gave great restaurant recommendations and ordered a taxi for my airport ride to make sure I got there on time). Housekeeping staff did an extremely thorough job every day. The gym though small, had enough equipment to do a decent workout. Nice to run by the beach too, which wasn’t far from the hotel. The robes, slippers and daily restocked bottled water were amazing, as was the calico zippered pouch with amenities - a lovely touch, which made me feel very welcome, and set the tone for my relaxed week in Barcelona.

tidy large rooms, good facilities and great breakfast with friendly staff

Good breakfast a bit overpriced at 25€ (When not included at check in). Very friendly young staff. Nice location 1 block from Poblenou rambla with restaurants and bars and straight to the beach entrance. Food at the restaurant was very good for a 4 stars hotel. Guests should try it. They were kind enough to move our luggage from storage to room since we arrived before checking in and required storage. Also, allowed us to check out later.

Room was very clean except by some mold spots in shower requiring silicon to be replaced. TV channels are mixed between radio and TV which make channel browsing slower. No iron in room, need to be requested.
