The Corner Hotel

Nice and clean accomodation in gastronomic centre of Barcelona, comfortable bed and nice sheets. Nice staff ready to help and advise. Nice bar downstairs.

Small room despite being the highest class (Deluxe Corner room), a lot of noise can be heard from both the street (very little sound proofing) and the hall way (every single closing of door), water is full of chlor, doors to bathroom make it half the size, very smelly cleaning chemicals which made us change the room (unfortunatelly every room smells like this...)

excelent breakfast and the staff there and at the pool and bar is great. Staff at the front desk is very good at what they do but not no nice. the pool is a bonus, if you are traveling during summer don't hesitate to stay here.

we have a small problem with housekeeping the first day. When coming back from breakfast, at 9:45 am, there was a one under the door saying that as they came for cleaning and the "do not disturb" sign was on the door they will NOT clean the room. After going to the front desk they said that it was a mistake and that the room would be taken care asap. When coming back at 4pm the room was as it was at 10 am. Again front desk and again they said that it was going to be cleaned soon. That happened only the first morning.

There was one annoying thing thou. Hotel for the night locks main entrance door, which is fine, that's for security. The problem is that in order to get in you should ring and wait for front desk staff to let you in. So it was quite frustrating to ring a bell at 3am for 10 min as front desk staff member fall a sleep. I am not mad at personnel (there is not much to do at night shift so of course he/she fell asleep) I am mad at the system. Usually in these cases hotels during the night time make main entrance accessible with ur room door keys (as you do at elevator to register floor you need). So I felt bad that several nights in a row I disturbed staff and that I needed to wait for 7-10 min to get in the hotel.

This is a gem of a hotel. The check in was super quick. The room was perfect and just what we asked for, comfortable bed, pillow menu, speaker systems built in, bathroom clean, spacious and sparkling. We had a courtyard view and did not regret it for privacy and less noise. A particular mention to Natalia in reception who looked after us impeccably, reccomended some excellent locations, restaurants (including Picasso's favourite) and was always forthcoming when we wanted to know something else. Really made my wife's birthday special with a cake and a bottle of Cava. The breakfast was full of choice for all tastes, the only real let down was the coffee (but I am a bit snobish about that). The Roof top bar area and swimming pool was a nice relaxing place to take some air and a dip if you were brave enough. The metro station was circa 7 minute walk from the hotel and very useful for getting about inexpensively. The room was always exceptionally cleaned.

Everything is almost excellent. Didn’t like that in the lift is no condition. And a noise from the floor when u make a step in the lift as well as in the bathroom. Not so much silent as we expected because of no audio isolation. Room service is a must I think. Thank you!

we loved everything about the property. The staff was amazing with a special shout out to Noelia and Charles for going out of their way to help us. They recommended amazing restaurants, helped with taxis, gave directions to buses, trains etc. Always made us feel like we were coming home when we returned from one of our adventures. The rooms are great and spacious for big city hotel. The beds and bedding were so comfortable. We appreciated the rooftop pool a few times with the summer heat. I would without hesitation book again!

Staff are nice and very helpful . When leaving Barcelona by taking a taxi to the airport from Corner Hotel , I unfortunately left a backpack on the taxi . The Hotel Team promptly response to my phone call after I landed in Manchester on the same day . They help to look for the taxi driver , collect and arrange courier of the bag to me in Hong Kong . Now the bag was quickly and safely delivered to Hong Kong with everything inside . It was a lot more than my expectation . I must send my Thousands Thanks to the whole Hotel Team , particularly to Laura , Rodrigo , Natalia , Pablo , Saludos and other colleague in the team that I may not know their name . Thanks all your best effort !!!! By the way , please also pass my thanks to the Taxi Driver of license " 8449 " if possible I will never forget this excellent experience with Corner Hotel . Derek

Not at all

Friendly staff, delicious food, comfortable bed, clean property. Front desk had recommendations for us on everything we wanted to do and see. They made it so easy to get around and learn about Barcelona. I was worried about the traffic and hearing the noise of it, but you couldn’t hear anything with the soundproof doors.

It would be nice to have access to Netflix, Prime, and other streaming apps on the tv. Not many options for English channels.

We rarely stay in hotels, preferring Airbnbs during our travels. Based on reviews and location, we chose The Corner Hotel. Loved our two-night stay here! Stylish lobby, same friendly and accommodating staff at the front desk both evenings. Breakfast was lovely! So many options to choose from and enough to fuel you up for a day of exploring Barcelona. Roof top bar was a nice amenity, however, the views aren't really that impressive.

Can't fault anything! Price point was a bit high, but we learned that we were there during a national holiday.

The rooms are sufficient, very comfortable. It was conveniently located in the Exiample area of Barcelona and it was a short walk to the metro. The hotel lobby is nice and they put out fresh water infused with fruit everyday and candy. That was a nice touch. The roof too pool was great and the rooftop patio had excellent views and bar service.

The hotel is on Mallorca Street which is a heavy traffic road so it was slightly noisy in your room at night
