Ako Suites Hotel

The room always smelled so good after they cleaned. The location was nice, right near a late night bar and across the street from an awesome coffee shop. Very walkable location to the other parts of the city as well. Felt like a safe location, even late at night. I would visit again.

The booking at the front desk did not match what I booked through booking.com so it ended up costing me a bit extra. Also, I should have known, but they didn't make it clear that we would be charged for drinking the water out of the minibar. In Paris, they had little notes that made that abundantly clear to inexperienced Americans like myself. Not a huge deal, but extra expenses nonetheless.

The location was great and the kitchenette made it so easy to just go buy our food from the Aldi's a very short walk away. There were also plenty of restaurants and other shops within a short walk. There is a machine laundry about 2 or 3 doors down so we could easily wash our clothes.

The bed was a little hard and the sofa was a little soft and squishy so those both became uncomfortable after a while. But, we were happy to have the extra space with the tiny living area and sofa so we weren't on top of each other like in a typical European hotel room.

Hi, the hotel is really nice and modern, it has a cute little pool on the rooftop. It has a kitchen with all the necessary pots and utensils.

The only downside is that toilet and bathrooms are just in the middle of the room, separated by flimsy glass walls, so do not expect any sound isolation and privacy. Also, there's only one elevator, so sometimes it's a long wait.

The hotel has a perfect location, friendly staff, excellent cleaning every day 👍

There was a lot of noise from the street, the missing sliding bathroom door, the fridge and the door above the fridge were damaged, the windows did not seal. The bathtub in the bathroom had surface damage. Room 401

Good location - very easy to reach from the airport by the airport bus. Beds were comfortable, they were changed every day. Room was cleaned every single day. Easy check in and out, we could leave our luggage at the reception after checking out. Super friendly and helpful staff (typical Spanish I would say ☺️)

The toilet is ridiculous. I understand it has to be in the middle of the room with glass doors but at least some soundproofing? Housekeeping cleans your dishes every day but I would actually prefer if the kitchen was better equipped with some cleaning stuff and more utensils.

It is in a great location to base yourself in Barcelona. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. Aldi is just around the corner to pick up supplies. Plenty of cafe and restaurant options nearby. The hotel itself is very clean and they do also provide daily maid service and change the towels each day which was appreciated.

It does not have very good noise proofing. You can hear noise from other rooms and the street. It has a little kitchenette which is great however there was no kettle / toaster which was strange. We requested a kettle and also an iron in the room which was promptly provided. These items should however be automatically provided in an apartment style room.

Friendly and really helpful staff. Due to their help, I also managed to retrieve my lost phone from a taxi. The area was very central, within walking distance to las Ramblas and Placa Catalunia with many things to do around. Seemed to be a gay-friendly area and had such kinds of bars and sex shops around, but we felt very safe in the neighborhood. We appreciated there was a playground very close as we were traveling with our daughter.

We had a nice experience. The shower could lock somehow as I had a baby trying to escape from the bath haha.

The location was great for visiting BCN like a first time, comfortable and near a lot of points of interest.

Amazing location, with plenty of good restaurants with amazing food in the area. The staff was very friendly and the room was perfectly cleaned. I would definitely stay there again.

I suffer from Sleep Apnea and need a CPAP machine to sleep, and usually like sleeping on the right side, since i am a left side sleeper. The closest plug to the bed for the machine was right above the head, and whenever trying to read in bed, or watch tv, the plug would be in the way. It's the most unconventional and uncomfortable placement for light switches and plugs i've ever seen in a hotel/apartment.

The apartment was lovely and very clean. Both female staff members were quite friendly and helpful.

The fact that there is nowhere to eat in the building. Because the food is made elsewhere, by the time breakfast was delivered to us, the hot food was cold. Minor inconvenience but the breakfast isn't cheap either. I accidentally spilt tea on my bed cover so I called reception yo ask for the cover to be changed as it was fairly wet. They said housekeeping was gone for the day and they would change it the next day (when I no longer need it lol)
